- I get that, pandemic anxiety is a real thing! We absolutely need a line of Subeta pet HA-centipedes and I will go on strike if we don’t get that XDD ((big sarcasm)) but considering we have items that make it look like our eyes have fallen out, I don’t think that’s quite too much for Subeta!
I second Tomorrow’s bloodsplatter item ideas! One idea is “ketchup splatters” that could go on walls or outside of windows in the background. The sort of thing you might see in a really well done haunted house (or a horror movie- depends on how they’re designed- maybe both a corny fake version and a more realistic version?)

As for Jaxon, some people like murder mysteries. There's no reason it couldn't be both.
Lol don't worry, it was clear from your post that you were quoting someone and didn't just pull that out of thin air. I was pretty sure the latter was meant as well but I still wanted to see what a mortipede would look like and figured I should share. :P
Oops lol I didn't mean to call you out for something you thought might have gotten you in trouble but I sure hope it wouldn't! Actually putting the item onsite might be just a step too far but just mentioning it, eh. I thought it was hilarious too!
I'd totally love to see more arthropod/monster/creepy/gory body mods. A spider mod like the centipede and wasp ones would be great. And more Frankensteinian creatures; I don't think that's too gruesome for Subeta because it's a Halloween staple anyway and we already have the . Sewn-together reanimated monsters aren't too bad, it's just the uh, nasty details about how the "centipede" thing in particular works that might be too much. Considering how 2020 is going though, Halloween/Morostide are going to have to really go hard to be scarier than any other day of this year. X'D
Actually, could we maybe just have a centipede pet, like not anything sewn together, I mean an actual centipede...or millipede. People do keep giant millipedes as pets. I think they're cute but most people seem to be terrified of them. We need more creepy-crawly pets! Maybe it could be something new from the zapper.
I'd be totally down for a murder mystery on here (we had one before during Masquerade, didn't we? I wasn't active at the time so I don't know much about it). I just think it would be best to create new NPCs for it and not implicate (or kill off) any more of our already-beloved characters.
it is not implicated that Jaxon is a mass murderer, he IS a confessed and witnessed by us a mass murderer. It's part of the story of his particular curse and is established lore. It is not new. Their love it turns out is a gothic love story, true. It doesn't narratively have to result in anyone dying because we're not in the nineteenth century anymore.
As far as killing characters off, I thought the Omen story was a good one. I dunno what justice looks like to you but in a fictional world, it doesn't have to result in anyone dying.
IMO NPC Ian is a fictional character, but I'd think less of him if he jumped in both feet first now that he's had time to think about it. If anything a trial to this that results in some reconciliations with the victim descendants and then has a happy wedding at the end could be pretty cool. It would reinforce that there's some kind to rule of law in Subeta and that not everyone gets killed by us like NPC Marcel Martenez or gets held endlessly without bail like NPC Gunter Brauer. To me, someone who likes murder mysteries, this is a better happier resolution.
(Well when you put it like that, it does sound more reasonable, and as I said before, he could already be trying to atone for it, but it all depends on if the staff want to follow up on it, not to mention the time and effort it would take to make another plot if they felt the need to do that instead of provide lore in other ways)
I think this could be a good time to see a lot of the older Morostide/Shadowglen-related items get revamped. Like the prizes from Quentin's quests, or the older wearables, especially if the Carnival is still giving them out by then. And I think there's some retired items too, that will most likely be given out through quests at some point. There's these shoes in particular (I forgot the name of them) but they look too big and it would be good to see them revamped into something that fits better.
Maybe it's time for some new Carved Pumpkins? It's been a few years since we had some, so I'm sure a lot of users have been able to catch up with their collections. I'm not sure what carvings they should have in them though.
Seconding new carved pumpkins!! My set has been complete for years!
From purely a storytelling perspective, I pretty much agree with you. I'm just concerned about what might happen to the player experience depending on how they handle it. As long as they actually resolved the whole thing neatly and wrapped it up with a happy ending for all involved (including Jaxon and Ian) by the end of Morostide this year, I would support that. I just don't want to see another NPC shipped off to the gulag indefinitely, resulting in damage to one of the most popular Subeta holidays. Every time "Neugarten" rolls around now, it bums me out a little (even though the items are very nice)...I wouldn't want that to become the case with Morostide too.
Omg I almost forgot, how could I.. we do have the line of items already

Oh, thank you for the reminder! I completely forgot about those (they are chance items aren't they? I always put chance items out of my mind because I know I'm almost guaranteed to never get them). I'm going to just start saving up the sP for them now.
If we got new ones though, they wouldn't have to try so hard to cover the HA legs now... ;)
As usual, I ask for only one thing: the elf ears in the rest of the base colors. Please give me pointy green, blue, and purple ears. Thank you :3
...uh, he died in a swamp? And spent the next, like, hundred years imprisoned for 11 months out of the year? The universe already gave him his prison sentence. Maybe instead of punative justice, Jaxon and Ian make the decision to pursue reparations. Jaxon has spent the last two years digging through mortuaries and old diaries and looking at headstones to trace the remaining lineages of the people he wronged, and tries to find some way to repay them.
The repaying could even go terribly wrong the first time!
Jaxon: Well, I killed these people, and that was wrong, but my boyfriend resurrected me... Maybe I can do reparations by raising the dead! Ian: Jaxon, no. Jaxon: Jaxon yes! :D
A murder mystery plot would be cool, but there isn't much mystery here; we know who dunnit. Unless the mystery part is us solving puzzles to help Jaxon identify living relatives. Which would also be cool, but not quite the same.
spiritual attacks from his own family curse are not the rule of law. Reparations would be great! Unfortunately. we have no exhibition anywhere that the rule of law exists in Subeta. Because of this, we don't know if such things as resparations would be done or who could/would exact them. It would be fun to imagine in our fantasy world of Subeta how such a thing might happen.
Colombo was a police procedural TV mystery show in which the very first thing we see is the crime being committed and by who. Perry Mason was a legal prodecural show in which more of the mystery becomes revealed in court: the one thing we know is that the defendant can't be guilty.
Here is some wild headcannon as to how this could go.
NPC Rouland could be on the jury because of course he was alive back then. Battlers would have to defeat one of his minions to get some special garlic composition to hand to one of the other jurors to cause him to leave so we get a non-evil substitute juror. NPC Phoenix is the judge. None of the Councilors want to be prosecutor so Maleria appoints her Gatekeeper. Councilor Rainsong is the defense attorney. Normally he'd move to have the case judge on time served and there is legal precedent for this but a ghost from one of the vicitms possesses him. This one can't be fought but non-battlers can seduce him away if only they donate the right clothes, because in life he was a fashionista. Once he is seduced away from poor Colin by the finery, the trial does proceed and Phonix orders reparations.
Then we find out via reseach that we help Alexander with by donating books in a not-a-book-drive manner that Ian is one of the decendants (because this IS a gothic love story), as is NPC Clementine.
I guess we have a philosophical divide on the issue; I don't see justice as being synonymous to or meted out by a legal system. Just with current events such as they are. I see what you're saying about an accountable outside agent determining the appropriate weight and distribution of retributions, but in absense of such a legal force in Subeta, there's no reason the staff couldn't write Jaxon and Ian to take the task upon themselves in good faith. I didn't imagine that Jaxon's reparations would ever be finished, rather that he would spend the rest of his days helping whoever was left to rebuild.
That said, your headcannon is an interesting take. I like the idea of bringing back the Councilors. I'm always eager to learn more about them. :)
Can we go back to suggesting items now? And maybe new skins? Are there any kind of skins people would like to see? I'd quite like to see more pet skins, the Urubu has an interesting pattern that would be good for one. And I feel like some of the older Experiment skins could do with being revamped.
I just want a way to get these guys That is my biggest Morostide wish.
The Ice Mice remain popular, they've been re-released before but they still retain value.
As far as zaps go, I'd like to see an unsaturated translucent white one that's all ghosty and that goes all wispy around the ends of the hands feet and hair.
More Rag Dolls!
-Loki (Still badly want this to happen lol) -Pikachu & Eevee -Witcher -Unicorn -Dragon -Plague Doctor (I... don't think we have one I can't recall)
