I don't really like the "it will happen when it happens" thing either. They sound like my Mum when they say it, and also I like to be prepared. Maybe it's the Autism talking, but when something is running late, I get stressed about it if I'm not warned. And yes, I know what's going on now, but other people might not think to look at the forums or admin posts so it's down to us to spread the info ourselves.

I just think a load of these arguments could have been avoided if they'd just told us earlier.

I think they changed it to two weeks years ago but before that I think it was only a week long holiday until it became so popular with the userbase.

The very first anniversary*, the 2010 Survival, was from 16 Feb - 1st March; the second "Survival" lasted until 8th March. The lengths can be variable, especially with extensions, but I haven't noticed any shift in averages like you've mentioned!

They said yesterday that they were hoping to have it ready today but we'll have to see. At this point, there's not much use asking about it anymore now that we know the reasons for it being delayed. So I'm just going to keep refreshing the directory until I see something.

What final reasoning did they provide? I'm assuming it was due to the HA issues, but I want to make sure I didn't miss anything in the Shoutbox.

If it was a big issue, I'm glad for the wait, if it means we won't have to deal with debilitating glitches or lag.

when I started playing I remember Morostide for the first time in 2005 because I joined in late 2004, Luminaire had stockings instead of trees to be opened and vesnali, Masquerade and Great pandemic/survival were added in 2008 or 2009, then we got alegarten, keelhauliday, etc
