I wish it would start tomorrow!

I forget every single year that it doesn't invariably start on the 14th. I don't know why I always assume it will. It's a tough wait.

It said in the news that the new card would be today, the 14th. So it will most likely be tomorrow, unless they want to do what they did last year and release a load of other things a few hours apart first. But since it's unlikely to start on Sunday, that would delay it until Monday, so I hope it is tomorrow so I don't have to worry about missing anything if I go out on Monday.

Chiming in to, firstly, enthuse about how dang excited I am to have an excuse to obsess over making themed HA's.

And secondly, to ask if there are any particular themes that you'd like to see with the strains. I really liked the oceanic and fungi years, but - moving away from being based on organisms - something like the seasons or types of weather might get be interesting. (I'm thinking like, freezing, dehydration, being water-logged, etc.)

I want to see some horror movie zombies. Just different kinds of rotting ones, similar to year one.

But naming them and watching them progress is the BEST.

ETA: Either based on the theme of the region, or the local native subetans?

That's such a brilliant idea! I want to see what they could manage to do with Veta Lake and it's enigmatic ancient history. Some sort of draugr? Or something more along the lines of Celtic imagery? Or of we're sticking with the German theme, maybe something batlike, in reference to Nosferatu? Or a Nachzehrer?

perhaps some sort of lake-monster? I think Veta has several XD

Also this is not much of a "theme" but I'd love to see more celebrity strains like The Baker's Kiss. Skitters has got a wearable, but hasn't Ecks ever bit someone? Zosi's strain (Windigosis) is not only named and described, it has a book already!

Okay yeah, I totally agree with you on this one. Give us more NPC strains. Maybe it could segue into developing their characters more!

I have been looking forward to Survival since last Survival. It is definitely one of my favorite holidays! It will be so exciting to pick out new strains to try. Edit: I hope this year we will get mushroom/fungus themed zombie strains. I mean toenail fungus zombie should be a thing. Edit: I don't know if they are going to start in time for this year or not, see all the delays for the new year, the free shop; for the past three years, Survival began on Feb 16th afternoon. For 2016, Survival began on Feb 15th.

I think the thing that makes me most impatient is the uncertainty.

I've been periodically checking the site from my phone to make sure I don't miss the start of it. This is my favorite subeta holiday, because who doesn't love a good zombie?

It'll probably start sometime tomorrow, but I've stripped down in anticipation for the new strains regardless!
