Hm... I'd really like to work with you to figure out what this issue is, because the vault shouldn't be so slow, and I'm not able to reproduce the issue even with larger vaults. I don't actually think it is related to the number of items in your vault, because there are larger vaults than yours that don't have the same problem. Would you mind opening a ticket (say that Bug told you to send it to him), and I will work with you personally to figure out what is going on and what I can do to fix it :)
As for the Fragmentizer, we know that one has frequent issues when crunching a large number of items. We understand it's a serious problem so we've been working on a way to address that as well. It is not a quick fix but I'd like to at least let people know it's something we're taking seriously and trying to figure out a solution for.

- It's that way for all of us. I moved mine right away, and they all transferred over just fine. :)
Is there any way for us to request lifetime sales data from our legacy shops before they are officially retired? EDIT: Or when they were created?
Thank you kindly :)
Okay, thank you for letting me know. I just wish I could see how much is in there before I move it. At one point I had over 40k items, but I've since moved a lot out. Mostly I'm just curious, but also a little bit anxious.
- I totally hear ya. I had some of my most expensive items in there, but if it helps at all it seems to be working really well and is very fast.
"Success! All the items from your legacy shop HOBBIES WORK SHOPS have been moved to your vault! Click here to view unsorted items."
Woo-hoo! :D Took about 15-18 min for 10 pages. Cool. You officially rock! :D 👍
thanks for letting us know. time to clean out old shops. :D
Wow, I just closed my last legacy shop the other day. Guess I'm ahead of my time! LOL.
Question for on behalf of a friend who is not very active but wants to keep her items... what would happen if she has items in a legacy shop but doesn't get to them in time for April? Would the items be deleted when you delete the shops? She won't see your news post so I am going to text her to make sure she knows what's happening! Thanks!!
Is a legacy shop the same as your gallery shop?
That's quite an endeavor! Hopefully, the site will behave better after this clean up is finished.
Great to hear it! I originally had reservations when you guys rolled out the new shops (for old, retired items and such) but it's been long enough, so it's not really a concern anymore. Cleared out & deleted all of mine ages ago. :P
ANYWAY. Would it be possible to edit that edit into the original news post to help make it clearer for users what exactly the legacy shops are/were?
And maybe show an image example of what the symbol is/an image of a shop name with it?
Not everyone is going to check out this thread and bother to read lots of text about it & clearly there is/was some confusion as to what legacy shops even are. haha. It might help people out, instead of having them still come here and ask about it, since there's a lot less text on the news?
[edit]Nice~ ❤️
What, if I want to at least put (painstakingly priced!!!) items, which also are already there, into my new shops?
I repeat my initial question/demand, that you would have needed to create a way for a new tiny shop to call out, if we tried to put that item into another one of the teensy weensy little shops, in order to prevent unwanted doubles.
AND: I don't want all those regular items in my vault! My vault is for special and holiday items only! That's already enough of a hotchpotch!
Don't see a symbol next to my shops and none are even available in the drop down on the transfer page, so I'm gonna assume I'm good. Nervous anyway since I joined like 13 years ago, but I vaguely remember having to redo all my shops/categories a few years ago. I'm assuming that's when the new shop system had been implemented. Didn't even know there were still legacy shops around after that.

Too bad there's no "transfer to another shop" feature. I'd find that much more useful. Thank you all the same!

Unfortunately not, sorry.
Oh dear, yeah. It is a known issue that the pagination stopped working one day. We apologize for that inconvenience.
This is an example of the old code crumbling more and more over time, and it's part of why we are pushing to finally retire it D: We have not updated that page in ages, but as the rest of the world moves on and the rest of our code becomes more modern, this older code just... breaks in unexpected ways, even though no one touched it. And it's always very difficult and time-consuming to fix.
I know this may not help much, but I'd like to reassure you that your item data will stay safe even if something unexpected goes wrong with the transfer. There are multiple checkpoints in the code to make sure that item data is deleted ONLY IF the transfer was successful. In an unlikely worst case scenario that the transfer isn't able to finish successfully, it's still impossible for it to delete any item data that shouldn't be deleted.
