I have one win against Devora...I don't think I got any last year...so what are people using? Anything I can borrow? Haneul's stats are:

Health: 4650 / 4650 Strength: 3030 Defense: 2620 Speed: 2730

I managed four wins with Numair and his stats are less than half that. His default setup (I don't have much in my armory he can use, he's only t10):

Intricate Energized Helmet + Rainbow Vortex + Aftershocks scroll first turn

Potion of the Robot + Acorn Bomb + freezing scroll second turn

Dark Goddess Rod + Ornamented Hook Swords + freezing scrolls/Aftershocks third turn onwards

Plus Phoenix Quill and Reviver of the Lion.

Actual good strategies can use blasting/stealing. DGR is good against her, so is Maniacal Essence (Numair can't use it yet).

Nice job! Battling just takes experience. The more you battle and try new things, the easier it will be to determine what you need to beat a challenger

Managed to get 5 wins in against Mirror Ghoul, but got killed by Devora nearly instantly... Well, last year I couldn't beat Umbrus so this year's definitely an improvement 😆

I didn't think about the crits. My pets tend to have higher speed than average, so it's seldom an issue. If water is giving you trouble, I'm assuming you don't have MW yet. At least you know you can get it soon!

what is the potion of robot for? I thought that was just 30 to 60 icons infinite use. Does it give a stat boost too?

Potion of the Robot also boosts strength by 250. I don't know why Subetalodge hasn't got the right info for it.
