That was the disadvantage of there only being 7 of us taking A-levels that year :P so there weren't many subjects we could pick from! ;) I did half a term of German as well, but I got stuck on the first lot of grammar (as we'd never covered that in English for some weird reason) so I quit that one as soon as I could! :P

Yeah, with a couple of the suits (the trousers weren't really my style - they were really wide leg ones) I thought I could wear the jacket with jeans or something, just to get more wear from it now I've no need for it for work.... but I didn't feel comfortable wearing dry clean only trousers on a regular basis! I don't think the dry cleaners we used to go to is even still around now laughs

Ahh, that makes sense. :) 7 is not a whole lot of students. :) I took german from 8- 12 grade. :) Quite liked it actually, even tho I forgotten allmost everything by now. :P Thankfully our teacher explained grammar and stuff like that in our language, so it was easier to follow. :) Learning german grammar in german sounds like a nightmare! I dont think I would have been able to get a grasp on it that way. I quite english and math as soon as I could. :P Never enjoyed norwegian classes either, but those I could not quit. :P

I guess that is the kinda thing you mostly wear when you have to get dressed up for work. :) I never had a job where I had to wear fancy clothing. lol Either uniform or something casual. :)

Sorry it's been a couple of stressful days. I had to order new shoes because my inserts didn't fit and i had no idea how to buy shoes without trying them on in the midst of this pandemic so we resorted to buying ones at the orthopedic doctor. Those weren't cheap at all.... very uncheep. So I'm incredibly stressed without even mentioning other things... -sighs.

Good luck with Richard. Please be safe.

Still better than I can do :P Lemme know how it goes :) good luck LOL

o.O looks like my notifications got eaten (I blame

Clawsion - and I need to find a more suitable name for that pet! :P )

yeah, the German teacher was expecting us to have already learnt grammar by that point (we were 16 / 17 :P) but for some reason that was never covered in any English (or German / French) classes before then! I think your own language classes are always the ones you'd want to quit as they're harder (and more boring!) than the foreign language ones ;)

I only had one job where I had to wear uniform, and I was pleased when I quit - that uniform was nasty! It was a polyester dress kind of thing (horrible and sweaty) and we weren't allowed to wear trousers o.O

I haven't had a chance to get any of the "proper" shirt sewn at all .... I've been busy helping Mum sort out paperwork (Gran and Grandad decided they need to move house to somewhere smaller, so that's been quite busy figuring all that out for them!) and making a couple more masks (Dad only has one left as the others are all waiting to be washed, so I thought it was quicker just to sew a few more :P). But hopefully (hopefully hopefully!) I can get the proper shirt worked on over the weekend!

well at the moment I'm leaning towards Yoshi's crafted world. I played a demo on my switch and it's really cute. THe other two contenders are the link game you're playing and Super Mario brothers deluxe U 2 for the switch. But neither of those had demos to try. I have the link one in the original on my ds. Hope the walks are nice :D

GREMLIN :D given that we moved recently I know all about that stress so no worries. Good luck dear. lol you're a mask factrory. good luck on the shirt. :D

wonders why I never thought of that :P That would actually suit the nightmare blob really well :D

I'm just hoping it all goes smoothly for their move - it all seems to be progressing faster than I'd expected (I thought they'd struggle to get interest on their place), so Gran's idea of not wanting another winter in their current place might not be too unrealistic after all!

I made myself a glow-in-the-dark mask yesterday just for fun (I had just enough glow fabric left over from last year's projects) but it was way too sunny to be able to get a photo of it glowing :P

Yoshi looks adorable 10000 % LOL Keep in mind that the links awakening game is a complete remake, with updated graphics and other things added to it. So not the same experience. I have not played the original version tho yet (I plan to at some point), so I cant say how much has changed. :) Mario is always fun as well. :) Walk was good as my feet did not try to kill me. lol Today its housechore day and grocery shop. Woop. :P

I am glad now that my teachers didnt do that to us! Or else I would have really struggled. :) :nods: What made me dislike it so much was that we contstantly get assigned essays to turn in. As soon as we turned in one essay during grade 10-13 in our norwegian class we got another one. :P Always about boring stuff like analyzing a poem or short story. :P

That does sound horrible, especially with a nasty fabric. The uniform I had was mostly not too bad. :) except for one job I had to wear a shirt that had to be ironed, that part was annoying. lol

that sounds like a total nightmare of a class! It was bad enough when the maths we came across in Physics was something we weren't due to learn in Maths for another three months o.O (you'd think they'd work the Maths course so you'd learn things at the rate you need for the other courses!)

And I hated analysing poetry! :P

laughs I admit I had it easy on ironing - Gran loved ironing so she always asked if she could iron my uniforms :P She did a great job too, although I refused to let her iron my jeans after she ironed a really sharp crease in the front of one pair (she thought they had to be ironed like formal trousers) :P

Now that sounds like tons of fun as well. :P Good for teachers to actually communicate. xD I never took physics, since I didnt have to and figured I wouldnt need it for future studies. :P

I took all the joy out of writing honestly. lol At least up to 9th grade we would do creative writing for the most part- making up a short story. :) Was not always easy to come up with something, but at least not as dull as analyzing things.

Crease or not.. I think I would have been happy to give her the job. 👼 I try to get clothes that doesnt need ironing all together.

given there were only about 5 A-level courses running that year, you'd think the teachers would bother talking to each other! ;) I was strongly encouraged to take physics, as if I'd wanted to go to University, I could've been accepted with slightly lower grades (they needed more females taking science, so they were accepting them with lower grades than the boys).... but I didn't like the sound of that as if I'd got a lower grade, how would I be able to keep up with the University course?!

Mum was chatting to a neighbour the other day, and she was saying that her 9 year old was having to write stories in school. Except they were making the children plan out the story first (the beginning, middle and end) which to me, take all the fun out of writing a story - especially as the ones I write tend to develop as I'm writing it, so they never end how I expected :P

laughs well I was a teenager at that point, and I didn't really have enough confidence to wear jeans with a formal crease down the leg :P That always helps ;) Usually I'll only iron something if it's still a bit damp after hanging it on the line, and it just needs a bit of heat to dry it completely 😇 as long as it's not anything too complicated (Mum taught me how to iron shirts before I worked in a fancy clothing store, as we were expected to know how to iron a formal shirt "properly") I don't mind ironing a few things, as it's not as nasty as some of the other household chores ;) Of course with sewing, there's quite a few patterns that tell you to iron the seams after each step, so I'm getting a lot of practise!

Let me know please how you like your new game, I have concidered getting it for myself as well. xD I hear rumours of a skyward sword remake, which makes me really excited. :D I bought it for my wii, but hated the forced motion controls. lol

:nods: University is a whole other ballgame! You are more on your own and dont get help from teachers in the same way. :) I would have been so lost. lol Then again I never had an interest in studying anything like that. :)

That does sound more fun for the kids! Even tho I am not the shy kids enjoy it as much. lol I think teachers today get more creative with different types of ways to learn, instead of just standing by the black board and lecture, or tell the kids to just work on the problems in their textbooks. : )

LOL That is a good point. I dont think I would want that either as a teenager. Everything had to be like the other kids in my class. :P I didnt want to stick out in any way. :)

That is another reason why I wont take up sewing as a hobby. lol The ironing part. :P I do sometimes iron tablecloths and stuff like that. That is the most I will bother with. lol To me its only marginally better than cleaning the loo. xD
