you're welcome :D I thought I'd nab a couple of each before the prices went up! ;)
That's much like here with the apprenticeships - I never knew what I wanted to do when I left school, hence the random selection of classes I was taking laughs

Appreciate it. :D
It was so hard to know what I wanted to do for sure! Especially when you are so young. No wonder so many people end up with random subjects or changing subjects after a while. :)

you know me, I love the deals lol -nods- I was impressed at their safety measures. well no one's touched the inside if it's sealed so no need to wait lol. But only one of mine was sealed so the other's must wait.
Well the guidelines say no inanimate objects so not sure if the mushroom counts for that or not.
thanks me too. I don't have a lot of games so this helps me get some games without extra expenses which we can't afford right now. Yeah i think they'll be a lot of fun :D AWw man that sucks. At least there's ebay though
especially if there's not much in the way of career's advice either! We had a weird computer programme that was meant to tell us what career we should go for.... mine came out as funeral director or musical instrument maker o.O (talk about random careers!!)
I don't think many people know what they really want to do at that point, which is crazy when you think that's when they are meant to be making those decisions ;) I can see why a lot take a gap year before university ;)
Very true - that's why I like it when everything still comes sealed in plastic laughs
But you could say a star (galactic blob) is an inanimate object, as is a gravestone :P .... as long as it has eyes, I don't see that being a problem personally ;)

exactly :D yeah but it's their own stuff lol but that's my hope
true, but they set the standard for blob images, so I'd reckon you should be ok with the toadstool - even if you couldn't get an official overlay, you could still use it as the pet profile overlay, couldn't you? (I haven't read up on overlay rules for a loooooong time :P)

I guess you could play music during funerals. 👼 That is so random, and probably not too helpful. :P We didnt get much career advice either and had to figure it out for ourselves for the most part. :)
:nods: Even tho if you take a break from studies, it can be hard to get back into it. :)
Happy for you. :)
Yeah, I have to go to facebook groups where they sell stuff or our version of craigslist. lol Love how I know about craigslist even tho its not used here. 😆

hehe it seemed two really random career options, but also things that weren't going to be easy to get into (I wouldn't have even known where to start with learning to make musical instruments!) :P in the end, I went straight to working in a department store while the others went on to University - it meant I had three years of earning money while they were getting their degrees :P
That's true - I did a couple of online courses when I was at work (just so I had an IT qualification, seeing as we didn't have that option at school), and I started doing a couple of archaeology courses at the University when I worked there but they cancelled those before I had done enough to qualify for the certificate at the end (I think you had to do 10 courses in total, and I'd only had the chance to do two before they decided to stop running them) :P

I reckon there are not a huge amount of jobs that involves making instruments. :P Work experience is valuable too! :) Plus, you dont need a student loan for that. :)
I would have been so annoyed if they cancelled the course like that. :P At least it was just something you did besides work I guess, or did you have plans on using it forward? :) I first started studying to become a kinder garten teacher, didnt get on too well with the work experience part being evaluated (really messed with my mind!), and later found I wanted to become a librarian. At least I was able to use the credits I earned from my first studies for my next. I didnt have to take the last year- which means I could skip the bachelor thesis. Bonus. lol

cute ha today I believe you cant hide the images anymore. But hopefully this way will work.
what a pain
nods it's not something I've ever come across! And exactly - having 3 years working my way up to management level in retail, worked a lot better for me ;) I actually got an assistant manager job that I later discovered my boss had applied for (and I beat her to it!) :P
Nah, it was one I'd always been interested in and wanted to learn more about, but I didn't want to do archaeology as a career or anything ;) I'd hate having someone watching me to evaluate anything, whether that's work experience or in an actual job :P 😮 that was awesome on being able to use the course credits to skip the final year! :D
Thanks :d I did have it saved to use yesterday, but I figured I'd use the newly wearable stuff then instead ;) I thought you can still use another image as an overlay on the profile (without paying for the custom overlay), unless I missed a change on that one?

it's really cute :D I don't think so... i could be wrong though
:d Niamh was insisting on using the top seeing as I got it the other day ;)
Maybe send in a ticket and see if that idea would work as any kind of overlay?

That is pretty impressive. :D You must have done a good job there. :) I never made it into a management role.. then again I am not really a leader type person. :)
That is good then, that it at least wasnt meant as a career option. :) :nods: I truly hated it and I was not able to perform as well as I knew I could have which I were able to relax a bit more. :)
Even more lucky that the year after they got rid of that option and everyone had to take the 3rd year as well to get the degree. ;)
Yeah, its a bit sad there are no game shops anymore. I guess online retailers and digital downloads ruined the market. :(

I'm still amazed they picked me for that job laughs but I realised after working there for about a year, that I wasn't really cut out for management roles in that shop - I'd rather either do admin behind the scenes, or be on the shop floor properly, rather than being a manager who still has to meat a sales target!
oooo that was perfect timing then! That would've been awful if you'd waited a year just to fully make up your mind, and had to do the 3rd year too!

Having to meet sales targets sounds like it can be stressful for a manager. :)
Having to write the bachelor thesis would be a lot of addes stress for me, so I was thankful for sure. I still eneded up taking some of the 3rd year classes tho. :)

it wouldn't have been too terrible if they'd told me what to expect before I started - but they seemed to assume I knew I would have a really high personal sales target to achieve as well as making sure the management stuff was done as well o.O
Yeah, that sounds like a really challenging thing to do, especially to get it done to the standard and style of writing that they would expect! But were the 3rd year classes interesting at least? ;)

That does sound like a difficult gig! :) But I guess at least the pay was better? :)
:nods: Its really strict! I managed fine tho when it came to writing assignments for the most part. A lot of the classes were really boring to be honest. Like learning about cataloging. :P

oh yeah, the pay was a lot better than my previous job (I was a department manager at that shop) ;)
That sounds like it's quite a snooze-worthy subject! I'm surprised they didn't find a way to make it more interesting though, so it would keep your attention ;)
