My grandson celebrated his 8th birthday at Chuck E Cheese with his friends and family! He's growing up too fast! I'm tired after all that excitement lol.

Hi guys! Hope your Saturday was great! We had four inches of snow -- thick, sticky huge flakes -- and it was gorgeous! It was too warm out for it to stick to the roads, which made my husband happy. He calls that kind of snow a "working man's snow", since it's pretty but doesn't hinder. Because of the warm ground, it melted within a few hours, but it certainly was beautiful!

I hear you! There was a heavy snow fall in Jerusalem some years ago, broke a lot of the trees around my son & daughter in law's apartment complex. That winter was so cold, and the people here do not know how to drive in the snow. My husband took a heater over to here place but couldn't get all the way because people had abandoned cars in the road. He carried the heater and walked the last mile to their place! I hope it doesn't get that cold or that much snow again this year! Congratulations on your grandson's birthday! Is it my imagination or do the grandkids get older faster than the children did? LoL ;)

Looks like a fun hobby. I had a similar soft toy, not a my little pony, but it can with different parts that could be attached with velcro anywhere on it. I liked it so much I never gave it to the kids to play with. i wonder if my grandkids play with it or if it's still hidden somewhere... Your friend gives you a ride to and from school? Your license issue has not been resolved yet?

Working man's snow! I love that expression! Working man's snow is the best kind! Cool wins. I only got that one from all the games.

Is the weather nice by you? Our area had rain yesterday then beautiful blue skies, then rain then beautiful blue skies. My son kept letting the nice warm air out to be in the nice chilly air outside. He said it was beautiful. I am in a wheelchair until I get the cast off and staying indoors unless I have to be taken somewhere.

How you holding up on your neck of the woods?

Something weird happened today too, I was doing some of my quests and my inventory was full so I went to clear it. And when I looked then this appeared No idea where it came from.. this is the second time something random appeared

Wow!! That's a crazy story! And yes, grandkids grow up much faster LMAO!! I have a crazy winter story for you (and whoever else wants to read it). Many years ago, when the kids were little, I had to bundle them up and put them in the car to pick up hubby from work. It was late at night and snowing pretty good out there. On the way home after getting him, I hit an ice patch on a long, straight stretch of the road. I could feel the car slowly lose control. The car began to turn and we were sliding sideways down the middle of the road. Now my dad always taught me to never panic and how to turn the wheel. After what seemed like an eternity, I managed to get the car turned back in the correct direction... but now I was in the wrong lane!! Up to this point, there had been no traffic. I saw a car heading right towards us as soon as I had straightened out. I didn't want to jerk the car over quickly, because I knew this would send us into a tailspin. At the very last second a driveway from a home showed up on the left (everything before that was all wooded land) and I shot the car right into it, just as the oncoming car passed by us!! It took me a minute to regain my sanity before I backed out to head the rest of the way home. Meanwhile, my boys in the back were laughing and shouted out, 'THAT WAS FUN MOM! DO IT AGAIN!' I'm like hell no! We're going home now!

Did you not pick up hubby??? What a story! Tomorrow will tell you my driving in the snow story! ;)

How was everyone's weekend?

There is a time to work, and a time to rest. Balancing the two is not easy. Especially when mixing in other parts...

I'll have to pack a lunch for tomorrow, my mother wanted to eat out for once. We paid equal parts, so I can also read more before classes.

Can be very scary indeed! That's why I live in a warm, desert type environment! 4 months a year of cold, the other 8 are warm to hot. And it's below the snow line!

Oh, I didn't understand why you had to leave early then, but I guess you did because you did. I hope you hear from them soon.

Years ago my husband, who always drives, wasn't driving because he had had his appendix removed. We were going to his folks (back when we lived in Ohio) and the weather turned ugly very suddenly, and DARK. I don't see well in the dark. Similar to your story, I started sliding all over the road, and after I stabilized and managed to stay on the road my BH gently asked me if I can get back into the right lane because I (like your story!) was driving on the wrong side of the road. Fortunately for everyone else who could have been, I was alone on the road. I still shudder thinking about it. That and the many times I drove my junker to work in the snow while scraping ice off the window, with a rug on my lap because it would never get warm enough... sums up most of the reasons we moved. I told him he gets to choose: Arizona or here, and he said: let's go live near where your mom lives. And that's the other half of the story :D

Eeek! My hubby's mom lives in Ohio and their weather is SCARY! We went to visit her about 5-6 years ago and it was in late spring, early summer. We're on the highway when all of a sudden we drove into a WALL of rain! I couldn't see anything in front of me! So we pulled off into a rest stop and waited maybe 15 mins to see if it would pass. It wasn't, and we wanted to get to her place before dark, so we got back on the road and followed a truck most of the way through it. I was very fixated on the tail lights LOL.

I know the feeling! Since we lived in Ohio and (most of) my family was here, we decided to get married in June, in Israel. Before we left, I planted new plants and bulbs to greet us when we returned. When we came back everything had died.... of frost! ....In JUNE! (or maybe it was the end of May...) I was so glad to get out of there. Traded 310 days of rain for 310 days of sunshine! :D

Wheelchair only because I was wobbly on crutches and fell on my broken foot. Then I got it into my stubborn head to REST my foot and that's what I am doing! Hoping that Sunday, my next appointment, he will say we are leaving it off. 👏
