Here's my loot from the carnival from Thursday to now. I'll have more carnival tickets than I'll ever use, but I can't resist trying for the Morostide prizes!
Carnival Loot
Afternoon now, I took a short trip to Mexico to help some aunts with some chores. Got 300 Pesos, which is what I normally ask for. After crossing back I loaded some firewood from an orchard's dump.
Later I can go with my friend to continue with whatever he has to do.
Yes, going to Mexico has always been something for weekends. I imagine the same is possible in some bordering countries.
Well my brother is down some, his dog, Mia died. We don't know if it were from age or exposure. Its understandable if he's in no mood to go to work.
We'll take care of the carcass tomorrow. Not many options here...

Looks like I have classes tomorrow, no mention of an institutional holiday on the calendar. Why would I want to be home?
Anyone do anything nice this weekend? I've slept most of the weekend thanks to headaches. Only left the house to walk to put out birdseed, but that's not terribly unusual for me. Tomorrow we have to take my husband's truck in for an oil leakage -- goodness only knows how much that will cost -- and then tonight, he hit a deer and banged up the hood of the spare car. Hopefully that's the only damage. We won't know until he can open the hood in the light. We're not having a lucky month!

I'm caught up in homework, but the clock turns when it comes to deadlines for resubmitting assignments. I won't be content with less than A's.
Now the reading is where I'm ahead, no reason to slow down.
I also spent part of the afternoon bringing another load of firewood, about equal parts branches and trunks. So later on I'll be swinging my axe and hammers. Maybe I'll put on Il Trovator...

My husband hit a deer last night coming home and dented the front of our spare car pretty badly! He hit one with his truck last year. They are prolific in our area and are active at night and he comes home late, so. . . He's had plenty of near misses, but he has actually only hit one these two times. (Oh, and he was driving the spare car because we've got to take the truck in for an oil leak today. sighs)
It's a long weekend here for government workers, here, for Presidents Day. Not a lot of businesses close for it, though. What is your long weekend for?
I hope your husband is okay! Our stores, etc. Are all open but my work is closed :D my Fiancé has to work today though. Federal government isn't closed. It's called Family Day today. Just an excuse for a holiday xP
