I think it would be good if you listed all of the NPC pets (With links to their profiles) so we can see who they are and who owns them.

for Kain - Archan. glade. gotta be green like Cringer/ Battle Cat from he-man, glade because he secretly is a big ol' cuddle kitty softy who loves butterflies and buggies, but has to hide his love from his bug-a-phobic master. bonus points for the paranoia induced when some of his friends accidently skitter to close to Kain.

NPC Kain should have something that sings and eats bugs, so a Lain. Named silence (small s).
NPC Jaxon would never occur to him to get an actual pet. If he gets one, it should have a pet given to him by NPC Ian, and it should be totally inappropriate. Chibi Kanis. Name: Doomed.
Alexander the Ontra is already a pet, so his minion should be a Wishbook , Bitabook, Book Worm, or Bookmark. Called Lexicon.
NPC Charity should have a whole slew or Porri minions, she just can't stop adopting them even though she hasn't got a pet to give them to. They're more malign than she allows you to notice.
we definitely need a list of the NPC pets already out there. We really need to make sure we represent as many different pets/ colors as we can.

Idk if you're open to giving NPCs more than one pet, but I've been having fun imagining Kain also having this "seeing-eye" pet of sorts.. at first I thought of a graveyard mahar, but it would also be funny if maybe he had this little Chibi(?) Experiment that he's training to assist him with locating certain things around his shop? but because it's still "in-training" and kinda inexperienced atm, it's prone to making silly mistakes often?? like maybe Kain asks it to go fetch him a fire amulet for a customer's order and it instead brings back this random potato it found or something pffft also monkeys like to groom so it can keep bugs off of him i guess?!!????

You could also post pictures of NPC-owned pets in the 'pedia. That way if someone's looking at the Kumos species entry, they'll see, "Oh! The Wizard owns Luna", that way they learn the connection between the NPC and their pets.
Would be even cooler if you guys could even do custom overlays for them. I seriously love that feli drew. it brought a smile to my face, thank you. been sick as a dog recently, still trying to feel better

Emma doesn't have an actual pet? She should have a Scootle, since she's the one who discovered it. Not sure of the name, though.

- oh heck, I love Battle Cat - surely he'd be a tigrean though! The idea of him riding a tigrean makes me laugh though. (Yes, he has to ride his pet, it's in my head now!)
- I love the idea on Jaxon's pet, that seems very fitting! Or maybe if he had adopted a harvester, Ian potions it sweetheart...
- oh my gosh don't apologise I love this headcanon! And hey, this is basically a group effort where we all get to create more pets, right? It's way fun to think about. (And yes they can have more than just 1 pet! Kain is getting a LOT of suggestions)
- it's something we used to do, but only the really notable characters I think. Some of the pets do have custom overlays already! But as far as time goes, if we're drawing a pet it will generally be a new site one - which is why I think this would make a great user competition once we have a few more NPCs paired off with pets.

- no, because they're a different sentience level and anthro 'pets' are that way because of their interaction with the spirit world (through Shengui Guo). They no longer have the ability to be paired to an owner.
I don't think any of them would have a pet, either - but possibly a minion. (We don't have a way to display JUST a minion at this time, though! And I don't think I have the strength to choose between all our minions for some of our anthro pets)

Johannes should have a bovyne!! But I maaay be a little biased on that opinion. -Bovynes are underrated. -Johannes is punny, so his pet likes to listen to his "moosic" -I mean have you ever seen videos of cows listening to music?? xD They're so precious.
