Okay, thanks for answering! It's better to have hiccups now than at Survival, although bugs at the start of a holiday seems to be a tradition too.

I don't wanna ping staff cause I don't want to bother them but @ Amber and @ Keith, I fully understand why you guys handle things the way you do, and appreciate the level of transparency you DO have with events. Subeta has a lot of things to manage and keep an eye on during the events, and I know it can't be easy. Thank you for everything you guys do!

I didn't say anything earlier, because I get heated really easily and knew that I wouldn't be able to make a civil response to what was said a couple pages back, but I wanna say now that you guys are doing great! & I don't think the "trolling" on Amber's part is unprofessional. The fact that someone would go as far as to say they can't believe it's "accepted" by other users is frankly worse than the trolling to begin with imo, lol. The idea that site staff have to be robots who live to appease their users is ridiculous.

fellow 2012 high fives I still have the latex I used for all those coverups. I remember when a couple of custom items came out that had a vague shadow for a nose and they were the most popular things on the site because of all the zombies who wanted a way to coverup and have at least some sort of a nose! Is it weird I'm feeling kind of nostalgic for all the weird coverup schemes?

Every year I hope for more plot too! Here's hoping, although we did just get plot with Morostide (WHICH IS AWESOME, JAXIAN 5EVA) but yeah, maybe someday!

Yeah, I want to touch on this. None of us are getting rich working on Subeta, we're all underpaid (I don't get paid at all) and do it because we really love this site, and the users. We could transition to a Neopets/Gaia style "never talk to users, get the most cash out of them as possible" model, but I imagine most of the team would leave pretty quickly. We joke and play around on the forums because for the most part we also play and love Subeta.

@/Coraychi I doubt Amber minds if I posted this, since it's my own comment box, but I think this the most fun I've had waiting for Survival. It might not be professional, but staff interaction is what makes Subeta Subeta. It's fun to have banter with the staff. It's the only thing that gets me through my retail job too, when I can have fun like that with my supervisors sometimes.

Amber is precious and puts a shit ton of work and love into the site. As do ALL of the staff. It's really sad that they put in so much time and energy to get holidays ready for us while simultaneously being badgered and bad-mouthed by certain entitled users. Have some patience yall, events are supposed to be fun. ♥

to be fair, that was all Ariel! I gave her the idea that we shout out at Avel essentially challenging us and she did a great post hahahha.

I get that some people see how and I interact with users sometimes is "unprofessional" but we like to joke around with you guys so that you know like it's completely fine pinging us over anything. We want y'all to come to us with questions! Things you enjoy! Whatever! We've always tried to be as approachable as possible. Sometimes that means we troll some users :x

We obviously can't spoil all our secrets, but seriously. If you have comments/concerns/questions, don't hesitate to ping one of us. :)

Professional isn't even a thing that crosses my mind unless it's inside a ticket or some kind of technical explanation. Essentially "lol get hyped for survival" is the last thing I'd think of. I loved this site because the staff seemed like real people you could actually befriend. shrug
