My notes say average of 7.7 core stats per tome (so not including level & intel) and 1.9 Intel per tome. Never tracked level obviously. :P

30/30 BQs done! Turns out I can finish them all if Crawbeast is the final challenger.

I got a pet out of the pound with a spectacular name (Guinea Pig, and I will probably make it my zapping pet because holy bovyne, that name). And now I'm wondering if I should blow some csc to auto train it up to maybe T4ish. Plz send help.

Don't forget zapping can make you lose stats, so if you're going to do a lot of it, I wouldn't waste any sP or CSC on raising its stats until you decide you no longer want to zap it.

So I just bought a Swashbuckle. It always seems to be a recommended weapon and I'm probably never going to get to level 100 in Item Hunt anyway, especially not anytime soon. Besides, at about 80 million it was probably either cheaper or at least close to the same price as doing it that way anyway.

Edit: Four amulets from Quentin today, three tomes from the Mage. 29 amulets during quest-a-thon and only two tomes. What's your deal, Mage?

It's not tooooo important to me if it loses stats to zaps honestly, even if I paid in csc for them. I kinda want to try with it what my roommate did, which was give up training sometime in T2 or early T3 and just spend BQ experience on strength and health. She's progressed pretty fast, and I think it would be faster if her weapon/scroll/book budget wasn't something like 0sP. It might be neat to see what would happen when you have actual money to back that kind of pet up. But I'd need to get to the point where it can actually beat challengers in levels 1-5.

- Congrats on hitting 30 for BQs! If you can beat Crawbeast, then you should also be able to put up a fair fight with the Unstable Snow Fairy and the Critho-whatever-his-name-is. Crawbeast was actually the opponent I last was able to beat, with Prodigy being the only blocker now. Good luck!

Why didn't anyone tell me Crithbolcan would be this easy? Is Core of the Island worth putting in my armory or should I just have it in my wardrobe? It seems to me that already have a couple of better one use blockers.

congrats on all the wins! i don't know if the core is a Recommended Item for any particular challenger, but it comes in handy sometimes -- i think i used it against cinthilocks as a budget one-use heal (30% isn't too shabby imo)

I know, I thought it would be IMPOSSIBLE. It's nice when you skip over the hard challengers in BQ then get it at the end.

- I'm a math teacher and somehow my estimation of how much it would cost is way off haha. I won't get to T12 soon, even with tomes. I haven't earned much sP lately (ugh work).

speaking of challengers, does anyone have advice as to who i should prioritize buying during black friday? i have crithbolcan, cinthilocks, flamagia, sophie, and mama forj and meatslab, among others (mostly this year's fear challengers and some of last year's land challengers)

i know i should be looking at and (though the first one's available anytime, so, no rush) but i'm not sure if there's anything else that should be on the list

- Get all the research notes and you get the Cabinet free, IIRC.

There was one loss, but I was being cocky and hadn't worked out my healing strategy yet (when health starts getting light green, switch from The Ether to Blackmoons War Plate which worked as a really good blocker and allowed Natasha and Aftershocks to heal me back up).

Now to put the new Aftershocks Scroll into my shop, hopefully to pay myself back for buying one a while back.

i was thinking about doing that but that's... a big commitment since i'd have to buy ~11 of them and there's other stuff i want to buy during the sale x: so that'll have to depend on how much i can save up during october, i guess! [sup]i wish challengers came back during the month like collections do[/sup]

- True, and some of the easy/med opponents aren't very worthwhile having. Some of the loot is nice, but it's pretty deflated now. Maybe focus on the EH/Impossible ones.

- Congrats on being Crithbolcan! He's not too hard, just really tanky. I usually skip him in BQs cus he takes like 5 minutes to whittle down his health.

yeah, that's probably the best way to choose o: i'll have to go through laurey's list of challengers later!

- In terms of loot drop, Tatuvichwa and Prakherash are probably the next best ones to get. TBH can't even recall what ANY of the other Impossible challengers you don't have yet drop, so obviously not noteworthy :P For EH Vile Carrier and Sierrac have loot weapons that I still use, don't think the rest are anything to write home about.
