Most living things do tend to enjoy breathing! lol
You're a good person for taking them in, it looks like they'll be pretty spoiled from now on ~

There was also the Secluded Shrine Women as an unreleased challenger as well, so it might make sense if they had a scroll loot drop (though IDK how good of a scroll it would be),
Regarding new items in directory
I'm both surprised and saddened that Insektdammerung isn't a weapon.
It is, it just doesn't have stats yet. :) I'm going to be gone most of this week without my laptop, so I'm adding some items before the BAs etc have a chance to work on them ;)
I am so going to need a million of these.....

Oh! Yay! Excellent... :)
Pretty new items!
Are we thinking Kain for the challenger?

They don’t usually give weapons stats right away so we there is still a chance it’s a weapon.
Also might be worth holding off on bqs for a bit

Yeah, Kain seems the most fitting. He is kind of a cowardly wimp. Although, it seems his fear might revolve around insects? The mole warrior minion has a dead fly impaled on the lance, and the hammer refers to killing insects like a bug zapper. A silly, but common fear. Bugs are awesome warriors.

i want it to be kain so bad give me kain lore. give me kain-related loot. give me kain
i think part of it is just education. some of these pets are marketed as like, not needing a lot of space? or being low-maintenance, i guess?? idk it just makes me think of the first time i had fish; i had a betta in one of those horrible tiny plastic hexagon bowl things because i was ten and didn't know any better. and one time my mom came home with another one... that was a party favor (!!!) living in a plant vase that was 70% root ball...........
thankfully we Learned Things About Fish and could upgrade to a big ol' tank with a filter and live plants and everything, but looking back i'm just like... damn, those first two fish deserved so much better x:
which is a long way of saying i kinda get what happened with your new girls p: (except for deciding that the best way to be done with them was feeding them to snakes. i draw the line there, that was... not acceptable :U )
[edit] be nice to kain >:U /s
e^2 oh no it's a prize shop... i hope i didn't lose points by not following directions in the forest...
Or is he.....hmm....I'm looking at his entry and trying to think what his fear could be
the gelly war news posts always have him being kind of a big baby (hiding in his shop from the gellys, etc)
but his description has him out and about adventuring with laure, so idk. he's a sometimes-wimp
Maybe he jut doesn't like Gelly...lol. I mean, it is fairly wiggly, jiggly and unpredictable... ;)
I'm kinda thinking maybe to trigger him, we may need to think about silent things? Something that would make it hard for him to feel our vibrations...and make it hard for him to hear us
I guess that's why my betta fish lived as long as he did then, I'm guessing. Cause I put him in a decently large tank, and he had two African dwarf frogs for friends (Speedy and Jaguar). I was so sad when he died.
Well he's blind, not deaf, which fits with the golden mole being used as a minion. Perhaps because he can't see, his sense of touch is hypersensitive to compensate? Maybe he just dislikes the feeling of bugs crawling on him.

Yes. That makes sense. I'm also going by what the description says for the minion, about using vibrations. If we use something take makes it hard for him to feel our movement, then he wouldn't know where we are. Same goes for if we're quiet. If he can't see or hear us, then we can take him by surprise.
Ah, yes. Hmm...I hope it doesn't involve the wardrobe again. That crap gets annoying.
I hunt moles down at the farm I work at (the buggers are constantly destroying the yard and are a hazard for the horses), and the only way I can stab them is when they're coming up to the surface; so I have to make sure I'm silent and step lightly to avoid making vibrations. So you're right, it might require either of those (making no noise or even vibrations) to unlock him.

Yeah, I had a betta that lived for about two and a half years and I was devastated when it died. I didn't have a big tank for it, but I did have a decent-sized bowl. Some of the things I see being sold as habitats are horrifying.
