Any news on your mom? I hope everything is okay bear hugs
Thank you for asking, love! She lost a lot of blood during the surgery and had to stay under closer watch yet she is back in the orthopedic ward now and already had to walk a step with her new knee. She is a tough one, though. I am sure she´ll cope. She is already scheduled for reha on the 13th of Aug, she´ll go to a nice village she already knew bc she had done reha there for her hip replacements. Look at the cute handmade angel I brought her for watching over her:

Oh I'm so relieved to hear she's okay! That must have been so scary. If she's already made it through a hip replacement I'm sure she'll sail through the rehab for her knee. I bet that adorable little angel will help her feel better too ;) It's hair is so cute.
I´ll let her know my friends are thinking of her! ^-^ There is this research study, you know, which says that people who have others thinking of them / praying for them after surgery, they recover much better. Positive energy!
Yes, isn´t it totally cute with the hair? I fell the very minute for it I laid eyes on it. The girl creates beautiful angels, all uniique. I would have made my mum an teddy engel yet I am not that quick, I usually need 3 months for a bear, LOL

the angel you got for your mom is very cute! I thought you must be busy with her in the hospital. She is in my thoughts too :)
I love your HA, especially all the snow fairies.
Thank you! Today, we only phoned, I had to do the July accounting so the bills can go out before we drive up to Sylt. However, mum already walked with the rollator, she is unbelievable.

I hadn't heard that of study, that's really cool! You make teddy bears? Do you have pictures of any of them? BTW, I love your HA today - such gorgeous coloring.
Oh thank you, it's only four items lol. The fairies are all one item . I really like yours today too.
thanks! it's my "friendship day" HA but with a background I own :)
mine is also only 4 items.. background, polar bear, giraffe, and eagle/heart 😁
up already, that is so amazing! What a great lady she must be.
I've never actually had lasagna, which makes no sense because it sounds delicious; although I'm not a big fan of red sauce/meat sauce, but cheese and pasta YES please. But I do have two HA's for you.
Trying to make lasagna for the first time, cookbook in hand, all dressed in the colors of the Italian flag. I swear that's tomato sauce everywhere NOT blood:

Oh, you really should try some veggie lasagna! And you can do it with cream sauce instead of tomato, too! ^-^
And yes, the study really exists, it´s amazing!
I am going to post some teddy pics later in the pictures thread and ping you there! <3
Yes, but I am always worried the first days after her surgeries because she has three phlebothrombosis in one leg and normally takes aspirine which she had to discontinue before surgery, bleeding would be too severe (and still, she bled so much). It has always the danger of lung embolism and her first one was overseen by the nurses and docs in reha and if she hadn´t called me that very night and so I kicked up a fuss to get the doctors into action, she would have had a high chance of dying back then. So I always prey on her for symptoms of this.

that is a serious possible complication, no wonder you are worrying!
Veggie lasagna can be delicious, also reasonably healthy!
Hubby often calls my mum Jacky Bauer bc she is so though. Despite the heat, she is training all morning on her 3th day after surgery. I would lay crying in bed, lamenting and demanding high dose analgetics. I am very susceptible to pain and a real bad patient, and a wiseacre, too, LOL

ah what a difference ... I honestly have no idea which I would be more like, nor my mom.
