Okay, I'm going to post 3 cause they all go together & they are 3 of my favorites.

All night long their nets they threw To the stars in the twinkling foam — Then down from the skies came the wooden shoe, Bringing the fishermen home; 'Twas all so pretty a sail it seemed As if it could not be, And some folks thought 'twas a dream they'd dreamed Of sailing that beautiful sea — But I shall name you the fishermen three: Wynken, Blynken, and Nod.

Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes, And Nod is a little head, And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies Is a wee one's trundle-bed. So shut your eyes while mother sings Of wonderful sights that be, And you shall see the beautiful things As you rock in the misty sea, Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three: Wynken, Blynken, and Nod.

In my childhood, I lived in a house where the windows had little holes in their frames for airing. In spring, many a lady-bug found their way through the holes and I used to build them little houses out of paper and feed them. It´s one of my oldest memories and also this lullaby:

Lady-bird, Lady-bird, fly away home the field mouse is gone to her nest the daisies have shut up their sleepy white leaves and the birds and the bees are at rest.

Lady-bird, Lady-bird, fly away home the glow worm is lighting her lamp the dew's falling fast, and your fine speckled wings will flag with the close clinging damp.

Lady-bird, Lady-bird, fly away home the fairy bells tinkle afar make haste or they'll catch you and harness you fast with a cobweb to Oberon's star.
