HEY MACAR-ENA PARTY
Macaron or Macaroon? Well, May 31 is definitely National Macaroon Day! However the confusion is natural. The origins of macaron and macaroon are the same and many of the ingredients overlap. Both use a fair amount of sugar to make these delightful confections. Both use egg whites to make the cookies rise and give them a light texture. However, the French macaron (which actually originated in Italy) uses almond flour at its base while the American macaroon uses shredded coconut to great effect.
Macaroons and Macarons deserve to be celebrated and recognized for their own characteristics.
Macarons come in all kind of colors, with sprinkles and other yummy adornments, yet Macaroons also have grown in versatility over the years. There’s the child-friendly chocolate chip macaroon or even the elegant-enough-for-a-tea-party chocolate dipped macaroon. There are actually red-velvet macaroons!
Challenge: Design a pair of HA´s, a Macaroon one and a Macaron one! Post the pictures which inspired your designs, too!
Like always, you are allowed to use all wearables, including CWs, and you don´t have to own them. Please don´t post HAs you already used in other Subeta contests!

I love both macaroons and macarons. I have eaten macaroons all my life, but only discovered macarons recently. I tried buying ones in a bakery but they were WAY too sweet and also too expensive... the best ones I have found are frozen ones in the grocery (really delicious and also not so expensive, not too sweet either).

Thank you for another fun contest ;) I don't think I've ever actually had a macaron (they sound delicious) but I love macaroons.

I like macaroons very much, they are so nice to bite into, very soft at first yet then, you feel the cocos. For my taste, macarons are a bit too sweet. However, they are very much on vogue in Europe at the time being. We had some food stands at the castle fair I visited today which offered some artful macarons, too:
You could even buy macaron necklaces there. Out of resin.
i like to bake and I'm pretty tempted to try to make my own.
