Hard to say. Good for binge-watching. Series 1 was very good, 2 could have been better, then it was cancelled anyway. Yet I liked the idea, seeing humans in the future around 4028.

Yeah cable is pay way too much TV but there really isn't any 'normal'/free TV in the US. Some networks are suppose to be free 'over the air' but I know some people who rely on that and most of the channels don't actually come through.
Yeah I never mind talking about sci-fi either, even if it's the same conversation lol
I loved Two - but I don't watch iZombie, even though it looks really fun. I feel like I've been watching Five forever (ever since Kingdom Hospital) and of course The Android and Three from Lost Girl :D
Galaxy Quest and The Fifth Element are so good.
If you get the chance you might want to go back and check out 9. He was a really good Doctor plus you'd get to see the beginning of Rose's (and in a backward way Captain Jack's) story.
I caught the first season of Wayward Pines when it was on Fox but missed the second season :(
Ah, Captain Jack! Naturally, I love him, too! <3
Oh, I donΒ΄t know if you would have really liked season 2.
SPOILER! Do not read if you want to be surprised!
Cliff hanger and also almost all protagonists got killed, LOL

I can't say I'm that surprised by that spoiler lol
I'll have to see if it's available on any of the platforms I have access to then! c:
Oh, that's a shame. Free tv is ok here - ABC shows the best stuff but I watch anything I like from them on their app. xD
Ah, I haven't seen any of those! :o Am I missing out?
They're two of my 5 favourite movies. <3 It's those plus Moon, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the Mummy. ^_^
wayward pines
It's been a while since I saw the first season but didn't a lot of the main characters die that season too?
Kingdom Hospital is pretty old now (maybe late 90's) it was a TV mini-series based on a Stephen King novel, if I'm remembering right. I liked it at the time but I'm not at all confident that will have held up well lol. I feel like Five played the 'creepy little girl' in movies/tv for like 10-15 years. I remember watching something with her in it with a friend and my friend was like 'wasn't she the creepy little girl in that other thing like 10 years ago? How old is she?' lol
I really liked the first couple of seasons of Lost Girl. I felt like it kind of lost it's way at some point (got to bogged down in Soap Opera-y stuff and too much... umm... 'bed hopping'). But I watched the whole thing and regret nothing and unlike pretty much everything else we're talking about it actually got to end it's story on it's own term not a cliffhanger lol It's a fun show, with really strong female characters. I should just google it, but it's late here and I don't have the energy for it, but I feel like a lot of the creative team for Dark Matter also worked on Lost Girl, I seem to remember seeing the same names in the titles - the casting over lap and the general feel of the two shows also leads me to suspect it too.
Oh man Moon is such a great movie! Do you mean The Mummy with Brendan Fraser? That's one of my all time favorites too (along with The Fifth Element)! I also love Jurassic Park. Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor) and The Fall are two of my other favorites.
Yup! It has Sam Rockwell in it. It's about a man who works on the moon, alone apart from a robot. Well worth watching!
Yes, yet in the end, I think only one was left, LOL. Many new characters were introduced in series 2
Lost girl is great!
So not much conversation then?

If you liked Lost Girl you should definitely move Dark Matter up your 'I should watch that' list. I don't know if you were team Lauren or team Dyson but if it sweetens the deal for you - Lauren plays the ship's Android in Dark Matter, which is a major role. Lost Girl was really good but I always worry about recommending it to people for some reason....
Oh, good to hear! I am looking forward to it. I love Succubus stories. I read the series from Richelle Mead, do you know it?

I haven't heard of that, no. Just in case I gave the wrong impression, there's no succubus in Dark Matter.
There's more conversation and emotional depth in Moon than you might expect for a movie about a man alone on the moon. It's a really good movie. And a small bit of trivia: The director is David Bowie's son.
Not always, but he does talk to the robot (and it responds). xD Or to the computer, I think. And sometimes he gets messages from Earth.
I'm trying not to give the plot away aaah
Oops, missed your last post!
Bahaha, so 5 was creepy? Now she just seems adorable. That's hilarious!
Hmm, I'm not really into soaps or soapy shows. x) Since you're so positive though I may juust give it a go. Yay for recs! I do like the general feel of a lot of Canadian shows. There was one not-so-sci-fi show I liked... Being Erica. It was more mainstream but cute enough for me. x)
Yeah, the first Mummy movie! I refuse to watch the latest one (bleh Tom Cruise) but I enjoyed the Brendan Fraser ones. I still haven't seen Jurassic Park! And I haven't heard of the other two at all :o I will look into them.
(Also I obviously adore your avatar, should've mentioned it before now! :))
No no, I know, I was only referring to Lost Girl. ^-^
Like this cinema movie about the man all alone on Mars? The Martian?

That was about a man trying to survive on an inhospitable planet, I think (and I enjoyed watching it!). This is about a man doing a job on a moon base. It's an excellent movie, I just don't want to spoil it. c:
Yeah Five played the cute 'creepy' girl in a bunch of stuff for years lol I think she was even in the first Silent Hill movie...
I wasn't sure if you meant the old The Mummy or the Tom Cruise one. instead lol I love the Brendan Fraser one so much (especially the first one). I saw the Tome Cruise one - no shock it's not good, I thought it was kind of a mess and very much a Tom Cruise movie. Honestly to me it felt like they were trying to launch a series - that was more of a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen then The Mummy on top of it all. Overall boo.
Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor) is a Russian film based on a Russian book and it's the very rare occasion where I actually liked the movie more than the book lol There's a second one too Day Watch but I didn't like it nearly as much. The Fall isn't sci-fi but it's an absolutely gorgeous film staring Lee Pace and totally adorable little girl and it has a bit of a fantasy feel to it. YOU HAVEN'T SEEN JURASSIC PARK? WHAT? Sorry. Is it too horror for you?
Oh okay - I just wanted to make sure I hadn't said something confusing lol
Just a movie! c:
Trust me not knowing that then, never watching horrors at all. x)
Tom Cruise is so... not me. I don't think I've liked any of his movies! I was so sad that they were going to remake the Mummy with him. Why not... anyone else? xD
Interesting! I may give those a go as well, if I see them. ^^
lololol everyone says that. Idk, just haven't!
I have a vague memory of Five being in Atlantis for an episode or two...
Yeah I generally don't like Tom Cruise movies either. I did like Interview with the Vampire (still not sure how he got cast as Lestat), Minority Report and War of the Worlds (I didn't like it the first time I saw it but it's grown on me over the years).
I love Jurassic Park (and Jurassic Park III) but I just generally love dinosaurs and Sam Neill. I didn't like Jurassic World at all though :( I'm hoping this new one that coming out this summer will be better but I'm not holding my breath. The special effects in World were great but I didn't like the story at all. I don't want to watch dino fight with each other, yuck
