I stepped that for a long time. I was really torn emotionally when they gave us the option to remove and readd skins. It felt like a lot of time I spent as a zombie, rotting, covering up when I needed to blend in ...

But ultimately I jumped at the chance to have a real nose again (said the squid mask which also has no nose)

Survival is pretty much the only time I'm active on this site, these days, so I'm super excited.

I hope it starts today! I love getting new skins. Spent a while picking out my outfit for the event to distract myself from waiting. :x

It should, yeah. I seem to remember being teased with seemingly excessive and unrelated news posts for approximately a day and a half before it started, for at least the last couple years (I think. Pretty sure.) So look out for that.

Okay lol. 😭 This is the first year I’ve returned since I first used to play several years ago so pretty excited to be active for this event lol. Last I played was when the butterfly virus was released so been quite a long minute. How do you collect the candy hearts? I noticed their currency now?

Yeah I'm guessing it will probably start either tomorrow or Friday, but we'll see. Definitely soon though.

And you get the candy hearts by kissing other users on the forums once the event starts (and when other users kiss you). The items go into your inventory, but you can turn them in at the shop to be able to use as a currency to buy the shop's items. The hearts are also food items that you can feed to your pets or put in galleries or whatever else you may want to do with them besides spending them in the shop.

Is it possible to get old viruses still? I’ve missed quite a few and would be nice to attain them. Btw, ty for the info. :)

If this year is the same as the past 3 years have been, then yes it will be possible to choose any of the older strains to become infected with on the VIP page (which becomes available once the event starts).

There's usually an FAQ put up during the event as well, explaining how the VIP system works and everything like that.

So I guess not today, it's after the usual time that they start the event, better luck tomorrow..

I honestly am SO excited to see the new skins. I was a baker kiss for y e a r s and still hold onto that skin with pride cause I had it from the start~~. Now im collecting all the cute strains I can~~. Ive got most that I want already, but I cant WAIT to see the new ones!!

Oh well....maybe tomorrow.

Do they start events randomly during the day or right at midnight? 😖😖

For the past few years or so, most events have started in the evening (like 5 or 6 pm Subeta time), because I think that tends to be when the most staff members are available in case something goes wrong and they need to fix stuff right away. And also they need to be around to add all of the new items and then activate all of the event-specific stuff, like in this case the kissing and infection mechanisms and things like that.

So I would guess it will probably start tomorrow or Friday, most likely around the same time again.

Me too, hopeful yet highly doubtful. Now here's to hoping that it starts sometime tomorrow or Friday at the latest. Any later than that and I'd be a bit frustrated, given how many different strains there are to obtain.

I'm guessing the same thing. Though I have doubts about whether or not they'd have the event start on a Thursday. Although, I think maybe last year's event started on a Thursday, but who knows. As long as it starts by the weekend, I'm good.
