It sounds like you celebrated nicely ^_^ and for what I can tell, you'll have a really good time on New Years as well :D My Christmas was very quiet, simply watched tv with my husband and his sister while having dinner, then video phone calls back home to his parents and mine. Gift exchange at midnight, and asleep by 12:30 or 1 am LOL

And New Years plans are very similar to these lol.

(My 26-29 was a lucky arrangement of General Error and Flamagia, which are the only two I can beat in the section. Used my 1 skip to get the Snow Fairy.)

Also why the heck does it say to start level 31 when you get back to the BQs? Bad coding, much? :P

Books are amazing...I'm really hooked with this one.

On the topic of New Years, our little town has stuff going on from like 4PM onward...there's going to be entertainment and food stalls. We're even getting some kind of laser show this year. All our excitement ends by about 10:30 though...we're a quiet town. I won't even stay up to watch the Sydney fireworks...

It's a little sea side town, and there are LOTS of old people...that being said, there are some young families as well, but it would be a complete zoo if it went on to midnight, no one would be able to go home! lol

I'm reading The Book of Dust by Phillip Pullman...it's kinda a prequel to his Dark Materials trilogy...have you read any of those? The Golden Compass (or The Northern Lights depending on where you live)

Ooh, I've read those books! It's been a while though and I don't remember all of what happened, but I do remember enjoying them.

I think BBC is supposed to be making a television series based on them sometime soon. And then there was the movie, but it changed so much stuff and it wasn't received very well, they ended up not making the sequels. Hopefully the TV series will turn out better.

They movie sucked big time. I was so upset. The Book of Dust is another trilogy...and he's doing these 22 years later!

So this one is La Belle Sauvage and the next one is called The Secret Commonwealth, and that one takes place where Lyra is 20. And is due out next year...

A quote from wikipedia: The Book of Dust takes place before, during and after the original trilogy; Pullman described it as an "equel", rather than a sequel, which "will begin and end with Lyra" So that would mean that La Belle Sauvage is taking place before and after...or maybe it will end right as things are starting...who knows. All I know is, Pullman better not die before the last book is written (he's 71!)
