Nope still can't beat Familiar. She keeps getting crits (a lot of the time right on the first turn) and hitting way too hard. I tied with her twice and lost when she had only 599hp left and I had no more healers. I need more stats sadly.

Pretty sure you need to do one more quest then quit to unlock him. Do quest 76 then quit 77. Just to be safe. But someone else may have to confirm. [edit]

You should be good to quit Item Hunt tomorrow to unlock him, but I just kept doing them after that point until I got a ridiculous one and that did it. At long as you quit before level 100, there's no reason you can't keep making money if he asks for reasonable items.
