Settled in for some grinding tonight and finally (finally!) got Anzo to tier 11. Now he can finally use all the fun weapons!

- well, it's mostly random - and I have had my share of poor luck with random number generators (or dice - I'm known for my bad dice rolling) so I'm reasonably sure that you will also have another spurt of good luck eventually. It would definitely be nice to have her unlocked since you can beat her in BQs. Hope it doesn't take too much longer for you to find her.

- nice to see you too! Everything is fine - just a little bit battled out from before the reset, combined with being very busy (but good busy) recently, in part due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Hoping things are going well for you also.

Hello I am new to battling and I had a question. When you autotrain it gives you as many training sessions as possible in 24hrs (correct me if I'm wrong) but will it train past 2.5x your level in that time or are you stuck at 2.5x your level?

My main pet Hanekitsune is the main pet I want to train first and Zen is the second that I want to train. If you have any advice it would be appreciated.

Oh and how do you train unevenly?

🌟YAY!!! I finally reached 5000 food items! My ultimate goal is 9000. 🌟
My first Gourmand pet would appreciate anything from this list that looks yummy.
Still need Morostide candy if anyone is trying to eliminate sugar from their pets diet

Auto training is only efficient for a couple days, 2 weeks tops, but it will keep training you past 2x your level.

Uneven training is by far the most efficient way to level a first pokemon. You focus on HP and defense, and only train STR when you can't beat opponents fast enough or can't overcome a challengers healing like when you run up against Surge in battle quests. I was doing 4HP:1Defense, and then largely ignored STR until I needed it.

Thats a simplistic way to look at it, I did a bunch of math to determine if training HP or defense would give more surviability, but I don't want to type out all the math involved with that one :P

If you want an even simpler way to look at it I would say do this:

8 HP: 2 Def: 1 STR: 0 Speed

Then once you hit tier 8 defense 1:1 with STR, but the math gets more complicated. If you use my method ping me when you hit tier 8 and i'll give you some advice on how to even your pet back out.

That's good to know. I have been ignoring everyone except Verdugo since the reset so there is a lot of catching up I need to do with event challengers and throwback

Thank you very much for your reply it helps.

On some of my other pet I wanted to train them for speed for non battle related reasons. Is speed completely useless in battle? Also if it trains past the 2x level will I have to train level next or can I train a stat that hasn't gone past 2x level?

- Hi - seems like a long time since we've talked (or maybe days just seem to be going by faster with so much to do lately :-) ).

Glad to know it was useful information for you. Unfortunately, I don't remember what weapons she used (the scrolls would have been Aftershocks and GoTF) but I'm sure that won't be any problem for you. LOL

- welcome to battling! Battlers have many different opinions of the best way to train or the best distribution of stats for their pets. Although high health often lets you beat challengers sooner than you could otherwise

Speed is not completely useless in battle. It is used to determine whether your opponent can get a critical hit (double damage) on you and whether you can get a critical hit on your opponent. Battlers have varying opinions about how important speed and critical hits are (and there are Critical Strike Tear Crystals that can be used to modify your weapons that give you a chance to get a critical hit regardless of your speed).

You should be able to train a stat that hasn't gone past 2.5 times level - even if some other stat is higher. I don't autotrain, but I have been pushed past the limit by things like an Oracle reward and that's what happens for me.

Wishing you much fun and success in the Battle Coliseum!

I train up speed because I hate being crit hit by my opponents. When your speed is lower than your opponent's speed, there is a chance that they will do double damage to you. The greater the difference between your speed and their speed, the greater the chance for them to do double damage. The maximum chance though is when your speed is 3k below theirs. Once you are at the same speed as your opponent, they cannot crit hit you. Once you are above your opponent's speed, you can do double damage to them. Crit hits are what helped me beat meatslab the furious, baenwurath, and mutant scientist. By crit hitting them, I was able to do more damage than their heal or make it so that their over heal didn't heal them for much. For most other opponents though, you don't need speed. Again, I find crit hits to be annoying so I train speed on all but one of my pets.

No it has been awhile. I haven't been around much since the holidays, other than to do BQs so I get to T13.

Haneul moans and groans for a few seconds, but gains 3 points of strength!

That's always nice! Just wondering...does anyone else suddenly picture their pet just collapsing on the ground while moaning and groaning, then jumping back up when this happens?

OMG - logged on just to make absolutely sure I've been to the bathhouse, start training again and do a few other end of the day chores at about 11:29 PM Subeta time only to see an announcement that 5 quests were reset because they are now giving out Fireside items - Yikes!!! I haven't quested and clicked that fast since the Wizard Quest used to be seriously timed (do you all remember?) - and I had to stuff a bunch of items into my shop to get them out of my inventory to be able to finish, but I got them all done. Yay! Now to start a new day and do them all over again - at a more leisurely pace this time around. :-)

Those little ones really learn fast and can sneak up in tier before you even notice. Congratulations on your growing pet army.

Tos is just 33 stats away from T10 so that should happen sometime in the next couple of weeks - even with my slow just training and no boosting. I'm really going to have to start thinking seriously about adding some battle stuff (weapons or scrolls that everyone can share?) and also about when to start boosting and what build to aim for very soon here. :-)
