So January didn't go so well.. 30/31 days done of BQs, because Subeta kept crashing and my patience had run out that one day... (there was more to it so it wasnt all the crashings fault.)

So I've been taking a bit of a break. I'm still visiting the site every day, but not doing a lot of the more repetitive things which means it's been a few days since I last did any BQs. None of this is new to me, as this is how I've been doing Subeta for years and why Galaxielle is still only T11. :D

26/30 for BQs which means a new month a new goal let's see if I can make it THIS TIME.

Yes, there was a lot of battling at the end of last year. And I''m sure your great guide took a lot of work as well.

I know you will get your ME whenever the next Gelatin War happens. And you can always borrow a Gelatin Slayer if you need one for anything special. You probably have better options anyhow since it has no heal except when fighting Gelatins. Still - it is a nice weapon to have handy (at least it still helps for Tos and Tharg).

Hmmm - the Unstable Snow Fairy is from an old Luminaire plot, is she supposed to return yearly?

- no I would never want to insult you - or Killer Threat - or even your ferrets. :-) I just go through the thread and comment as I come across posts so it was a response to the post where you mentioned getting to ten. I did sort of notice later that you did some more battling but then you also ran into all the site lag, so I didn't think to change my post to you (sorry). Congrats to KT on his 17 wins and to Dameon on his 10 wins as well. :-)

That makes sense to save your boosters for T13. It's such a big tier to get through, I'm sure it will help to have a little head start. :-)

- wow - you're so hard on yourself. 26 (or30)/31 days of doing BQs in January is really great. We're all entitled to a day off or a break now and then. It's not like the Bathhouse, you don't have to start all over again if you miss a day. I think you should give yourself more credit for all the things you do and all the work you put in to do them.

Oh - and congratulations on your new weapon! Which one did you add?

I am actually looking forward another Gelatin War because I want to try my luck against the Gelatin Wizard (I need the Gelatin Concoction!), and am also looking forward to see how many less battles I need for Tziety to reach 5m DMG :D

Yes, I need the Gelatin Concoction too, although it will be awhile before Tos can use the Maniacal Essence (one reason why the Gelatin Slayer is still helpful). Those Wizards were just too hard for her to get to ten wins last time.

Well, I know Tziety will grow in skill before the next Gelatin War, but remember, that giving out a core for getting 5 million in damage was likely a one time event. Usually they're only awarded to the top battlers in the boss battle, so it's a competition to get one. That's part of why everyone was so determined to take advantage of the opportunity.

Ah, I see. Well, maybe she will show up again this year then.

If you never fail to reach your goals, then they are probably not hard enough. Goals are to motivate us to do better and you did great. And not quite making it means that you can just try again and keep improving.

Nice purchase. I did look at it, but I had just recently bought a when it came out. No heal, but it's usable at T8 and has a chance to freeze, so I'll be using that as my water blocker for now. Water blockers are really useful so I'm sure you'll enjoy having it. And you can always use it as a pretty background if you ever replace it. :-)

I woke about 30 minutes late :P But not only that, but since I joint-do them with Wiz & Saggi quests, they take longer to complete, but I force myself to quest that way ;)

Plus it was faster ending BQ at level 25-26 (average) than on 30, but now finishing them on 30 is more fun ;P

I just finished ALL my quests though, and only got 3 amulets off quentin, meh :( And it's only 11 am! P What am I to do with the rest of the day? :P

I think I only managed 5 wins against the Wizards can't remember I already have a Core, so worst case scenario that I don't get it, I can still combine mine with the concoction to get ME ^_^ Obviously, I'll try my hardest :D

Well that's certainly true, you are beating new challengers who might take longer. My BQs are getting to be faster again. Tos doesn't have too much trouble with anyone up to Level 25, so as long as I don't have to fight the pesky squirrel, they're not so bad.

Glad that finishing BQs at 30 is fun for you. That helps make up for the extra time.

Wow - I always am thrilled if I get 3 amulets from Quentin. I think 2 is about average for me. Of course, with a gold account active, you are doing more quests than I am too. I haven't done any Quentin quests yet, maybe I should go do them.

I'm sure you'll find something fun to do! You're sort of halfway through the day part of the day already. LOL Maybe some more of your videogaming?

Yes, it makes it so much easier when you already own a core. I know many top battlers tried for many years to get one before they managed it. We have been very lucky in that regard. I have no idea what they will do about giving them out next year. They've sort of already said not to expect a repeat, but I don't think they'll go back to all day long boss battling either, so we'll just have to wait and see. They've done such a good job making boss battling more reasonable and more fun both, so I look forward to whatever comes next.

I have more fun with the last 5 challengers of BQ than in the first 25 levels :P You're doing pretty good with Tos as well! :D Hope the pesky sql gets easier for you soon :)

If I recall correctly, I normally get 4-5, but since it's been too long since I did all quests, things could've been tweaked (or maybe I had been lucky those times?)

Well, it could also be my usual lack of luck with RNG things. I try not to notice too much and hope it all averages out - although I confess I do get excited when I get more than my normal. :-)

I don't think there is a known answer. We don't have Gelatin Wars every year, but it's not always every other year either. So we just wait and see when it happens.

I think it was (or was it ?) who suggested that if GE froze me on the first turn, to withdraw and try again. Mods suggestions included Critical Strike Tear Crystal, Parched Baguette Crystal x2, and Blessing of Natural Armor Tear Crystal... it was for PBB

And I know it was who gave me this advice against GE, hope it helps you too :)

Phew that was hard! 6 losses & times I had to go and heal myself fighting against Buttwinger (15x because not all fights ended with a full heal lol)

- well, Tos is well below those stat totals and has already gotten wins on General Error (she's an even build with 1647 health and strength, 1645 defense and 1640 speed right now). Right before the reset, Tos managed 3 wins, 1 tie, and 75 losses while she was still T9. And Tos only has 3 scrolls - Aftershocks GoTF, and Shriek (1 each) - she doesn't have the AP for more yet. I think her first win against GE in BQs was actually with just the first two scrolls before she earned her Shriek and I raised her AP so she could use it. Sometimes I forfeit if I get frozen, but sometimes I actually survive a one round freeze so every once in a while, I just let it go. The trick with GE is to outlast his Psycho Smasher scrolls. So I have to count as he uses them. After they're gone he is much easier to beat. But I rarely outlast them even using AoN because those full blockers only have 1 mod slot each so it's hard to get or keep up a Parched Blessing. If I get lucky with the blessing, then I have a reasonable chance.

As far as weapons, I found it was more important to use the weapons that I have two parched baguettes on as much as possible, so I use my Blessed Trident and Shinwas Short Sword plus AoN, STS, Phoenix Quill, UltimaPlus Tag (heal plus an extra chance to freeze) and Deluxe Death Shard and Recycle Blaster. I don't usually bother with the helmet since it only really gives me a one turn reprieve (we're both frozen turn two) but DDS also does some damage which I prefer. I find it lots harder to get a parched blessing to activate against GE versus using the same weapons and mods against other challengers, but maybe it just feels that way to me.

Good job getting those 10 wins against Big Banner with FairyTale (I love that name!).

Sounds like you created your own personalized strategy against GE , and it seems to work fine as long as the blessings activate. Don't give up, you can only get better as Tos' build goes up ;)

And thank you! Those wins were hard, i don't have a lot of good weapons for FairyTale (I love her name too! ❤️), but I do what I can with what I have :D

I'll keep Auto-Training her, and battles will eventually get easier :D I'm in no rush though :D
