It's okay :) in that case I think she does mainly dark, light and physical. I think pairing a big light block with Flayed Lord Breastplate might help and chain freezing too.

Lol got to level 90 in Item Hunt and then he asked me for a 40 mil item. ;~;

I don't have any of those weapons. Light and dark blocks I have nothing good.... well the gutting knife but that's it. No thank you, I don't borrow weapons I don't feel right doing so. Thank you though.

- okay. I respect your choice. We all have preferences in how we battle (just like I haven't been using EXP to boost Tos) and need to do what works for us. After all - it's a game and we want to have fun! Rita will be back again next year so you and Cynde will be able to easily beat her then.

We finished all 2,800 about 5 hours ago. Just done packing for her :D She's leaving for the coach station in about half an hour so I'll probably be back home after that. Haven't done any quests and haven't trained all day.

Yeah, at that point he seems to like asking for old Cash Shop items or other retired things that are high in price.

I'm not sure if it's actually possible to complete Item Hunt anymore without spending a silly amount. Maybe you could get lucky and he'll ask you for cheap-ish items, but I dunno. 90 is the highest level I've gotten to so far, because whenever I get there he asks me for something dumb.

- neither you nor Cynde suck. I couldn't get a single win with Tos until I borrowed shield. Being able to block all three of her big icons and still attack just made a tremendous difference. I'm amazed that you were able to manage one win, to be honest. That is already doing a great job!

... I give up I give up... I have a lot of choice words for her but I'll be respectful and keep them to myself. I don't care about the losses I'm just sick of getting headaches from getting so close only to have my behind handed to me.

- if your AP is high enough - lots of freezing scrolls might work. Tharg has very minimal AP (30 now) so that's not an option for him. The key is either freezing, or blocking - so RV, STS and any way you can freeze - plus the biggest attack you can manage so you can kill her before she crits you. Curse damage, singed mods and crit strike tears can all help.

- she has a nasty habit of getting a critical hit just when you think you are getting somewhere. Anything you can do to up your damage and kill her faster helps. Curse damage, potions, changing your parched mods to singed - whatever you can think of. Shards to help block and any sort of freezing you can manage also help. Maybe take a break and try again later or tomorrow? Sometimes it gets too frustrating to just battle over and over without stopping.

Did all I could but the lack of healing sucks... not to mention nothing wants to chain freeze her and I'm sick of weapons lacking proper healing unless you're very high tier. I mean I get it LOL I know nothing is supposed to be easy, not asking for it. I'm just bitter, usually happens after a ton of losses. I've got to up my game it seems. There's always next year.

- Gift of the Forj can help with healing. And Phoenix Quill of course. Most of the freezers aren't 100 percent, so using more than one at a time can help up your odds - I was using Frostbite Amulet with Rapier of Error together but an infinite use freezing weapon plus a freezing scroll would be even better.

I was told that I would outgrow Phoenix Quill eventually and I think that Tos and Cynde are starting to do that. Blocking becomes much more important than healing because you just can't heal as fast as the challengers damage you if you don't block the right icons. It's a transition in how to approach the battle that we have to get used to. T9 is hard because most of the big blocks start at T10 but the healing is already starting to be inadequate, so you have to really work sometimes to find a compromise that gets the job done.

Unfortunately, as you get to the higher tiers you really need so many different weapons for so many different reasons that it's really hard to own them all yourself. So you will need to train longer and have more stats to make up for using lesser options if you prefer not to borrow. Nothing wrong with that as long as you aren't disappointed when you need to wait. Honestly, your results are amazing given what you are using.

And, yes, I sometimes feel that way after a bunch of hard fought losses. Battling can be exhausting - almost as though we were personally doing the actual work. I know you will be back to your usual cheerful supportive self soon. And yes, there is always next year. Nothing says were have to beat every challenger with a certain tier pet or at a certain number of stats. Take things at your own pace. After all according to the news post these are supposed to be "friendly battles". LOL

- what level is your pet? At T9, the Gelatin Slayer blocks dark and the Hydragellos Maniacal Core blocks light.

T8 haha still have around 221 stats to go until T9, though i don't have a gelatin slayer anyways xP
