MW would a be a nice addition if you can get lent one, I think thats mostly what you have to worry about. Otherwise Syringe (for ice block) + Trident/Swash is what did it for me.

And doubling up on the freezing scrolls!

Did he deal lots of water while you were fighting him? I've got the which blocks some of his water but I died mostly to his other weapons. Tried stealing two of his Maelstrom at one point, but I think I'd better just go with blasting. I'm mulling over swapping Swash out for Trident for that elusive blessing. Why is he such a pain? 😅

Oh and what scrolls did you use against him?

It's not that he dealt a lot of water icons per say, its just that when he does use them he tends to double up on them and do anything from 80-120 in a single turn, and when your not blocking 'em thats when they get ya! Thats why I preferred to have a water blocking blessing, and block out his wind + some other icons (ice or earth would be good!) So you could try using your OHS!

I wasn't able to get Shinwas Short Sword before it was pulled, but oh well I got the other two at least.

Now there are a bunch of new things to save for. IDK if I'll ever use them as weapons, but I want the wearables. :P

Not sure how I feel about the elemental crystal mods being taken out. Where are they going to be restocked I wonder...guess those two NPC battle shops since no one ever goes in there for anything otherwise. Don't even remember what they're called lol

Was really hoping more stat boosters would have been put in. Those are always a great way to sink tokens. I am eyeing that sabre though cause I need an attacker with some fire, light and wind, so not too bad.

Yeah, no way were they gonna remove those staples from the shop. Maybe the elemental mods are being revamped stat-wise? It'd be nice to see them as loot drops for beyond 10 wins in any case. I'd battle opponents beyond 10 for those elemental mods. especially if the unreleased ones are finally released, i'm still adamant about these

True, maybe the could be adjusting them. 2 or 3 extra icons doesn't really seem like it would make much difference, maybe for lower tiers but I dunno.

the tokens (i'm trying to get tokens and start working on the components to put the helmet together (i'm not that high of a tier, but i need to start working on saving the tokens up, to be able to make the helmet when i DO get to that tier)

ok. so i'm battling these challengers, and i notice that i don't get a token every time a battle is finished. OR every 5 battles. is there something i should be doing besides just trying the 5/10 battles against each challenger?

The tokens are given out randomly, but I think you can still earn tokens for going beyond just the 10 wins. So if you can manage it and you really need the tokens, it might be worth a try for opponents in the difficulty group you still need tokens for.

You can also get tokens from defeating the opponents in BQs, so be sure to keep doing as many of those as you can. Saving tokens for the helmet and mecha can take a while, but you'll get there eventually if you just keep battling!

Good luck! I think once you get to the point where you can consistently beat at least some of the challengers in the difficulty level you need, it starts to feel like it goes a bit faster. I only just recently got strong enough to beat more of the Impossible challengers in BQs, and now I'm really close to the 100 tokens I need for the last component to make the Mecha.

Once you get strong enough to beat the VH and EH opponents, you'll be in good shape! In the meantime, at least there are other freezing items you can use.

Yep, doing BQ every day is a good way to get battle tokens. If you need assistance, let me know. I just spent some battle tokens but they accumulate before you know it.

it does make me feel better though (about all the training i've been doing) i get so depressed, when i can't beat those hard challengers. lol

hey beautiful! heh. I dislike those BQ's so much hahahaaaaa the other day, i only made it half way through, before i had to quit. (who was it....some one that i've only seen in the BQ's) but they had like 10,000 health. lol. no way i could beat someone that high in health. :D

It helps just to do as many BQs as you can, the way they're set up you're not supposed to be able to beat them all unless you have a pretty tough pet.

What tier is your pet right now? Mine is almost Tier 12, and there are still days where I can't get all the way through 30 because I can't beat all of the Impossible challengers yet. Every little bit helps though, and progress can be slow but you'll get there. 😊
