My "so glad it's no more" memory is how quests used to be. Having 30+ of each a day and having to copy and paste everything while having 3 shop search windows open. If you wanted to do all of your quests it could take hours before you were finished.

Oh yes Saggi and Wiz used to give out items. Wizard used to give out 15 point tokens sometimes. I remember when he gave out Subeautique and potions from his quests. He also used to ask for 1-4 items.

I think Wizard still gives out 15 point tokens if you take too long to give him his items, but I don't remember because it's been a while since I've done that.

Oh yes he does but before they changed things you got a 15 point token for finishing a quest. :)

I remember the Longcat 4-chan hacking fiasco. I remember the personal items that all staff had named for them.. IE Debilee's Dream Dragon, Brokenkat's kat.. all have been renamed. I remember chatting with Keith and Debilee daily on mIRC And the item to go with that.. the mIRC Egg that transformed into the bunny. Subeta's first help site, before Subetalodge.. Subeta HQ. I loved that site till it went away! I remember all of the downtime..and having no way to find out when the site would be back up. OMG.. I remember when Keith was 13!!

I remember back before the currencies page was a thing, and to make any wizard token purches (eg token shop or vending) you had to actually have an appropriate number of tokens in your inventory. It made vending awful, because you'd break, say, a 1k token and it'd just split up into more and more loose 2 pt tokens that'd clog your inventory until you'd slowly (slowly) spend them all.

I also remember way way back when subeta had its own oekaki. And a submission-based art gallery that you could get a trophy from.

I remember back when they first rolled out HAs and absolutely nobody's looked good, but no one had any standards yet, so everyone just kind of went hog wild with it.

oh man this thread... I've been here since November 2009. ;w;

Subeta HQ... unlimited (slow) vending... the awesome description for prize get... rushing to dragon's hoard whenever a new holiday started - and the holiday shop! I loved restocking from the holiday shop. ... the fact that the site seemed to be a lot more functional back then and less broken imo. still miss the old wardrobe... the old front page/news page that showed little HA previews and had this section that showed the latest forum posts? if anyone has a screen cap of that layout I'd love to see it. the old forums... 3mil for 100csc... the masquerade murder plot that they never gave out achievements for even though there was a section for them for years until it was quietly removed... oh and the old achievements system that worked a lot better and you could have it as a widget on your profile.

Nice to see a thread like this, lets see what I can pull out of my 12-year history on here and that hasn't already been mentioned.

-Cults I never did join one, but they were a big deal that lasted a surprisingly long time.

-Journals Not something I put much time into.

-Chat in the sidebar That thing got pretty fast and pretty hectic from time to time. I received my one and only warning for commenting in there though I don't remember what it was for.

-Captcha codes for every item you wanted to buy from the mainshops They were usually on colored backgrounds with strike-through marks at random, making it harder to read.

-Reflecting damage in battling Once upon a time you could turn your opponents icons against them.

-Element trees to increase your damage with the corresponding element There was a hard to find page where you could invest so many points you had earned into an element and then diversify it further. I remember putting what points Kilroy had into fire as he was mostly using fire-dealing weapons at the time.

-Pets at low, low stats using godweapons to smoke opponents in the extreme to impossible level Long before they introduced the tier system, pets of any stat range could use any weapon, if I remember correctly. And more than a few had these super weak pets that they'd try and earn wins from using the advantages of their equipment.

-Retired challengers Replika, Lindorm, M4-L1NG, Vampire Dog, and of course Maleria herself, plus a few others.

-Lower thresholds for plushie/beanbag/trading card achievements I was a major plushie collector when I first joined up. I'd spend hours with one tab having my current collection open and then the plushie parlor in another tab, refreshing, and when I thought I saw a new one I'd copy the name and ctrl+f in the collection tab - which more than once got me because I had a space in front of the name or after from hastily highlighting and it wouldn't register that I already had the plushie in question.

-No Battle Quests, and a much more varied(see; chaotic) approach to it BQs have been a great addition to the site. You were on a timer(around 30 minutes) to beat an opponent, and if you couldn't get it done and get back in time, even if you won in the end, you still did not earn anything from Reischen. I think they also reset to a lower level of opponent if you lost, but I might be mistaken.

-High scores for beating opponents This was another big thing. People would get up into a hundred wins against some opponents, and the top 20ish battlers I think it was were displayed for each opponent. It might have been the top 10 though.

Oh lord! That was my first exposure to 4chan, too, our was a great lesson in never being a troll!

I.also remember the monthly donation presents being the only real real-life cash item, and they were RANDOM...they were like $2.50 or something a pop, but man when I was young and broke the pressure was ON for that angelic matter to come out of the box!

Do you have a wyllop? Befriend my pet Poopie!

The very first GA I bought was 50k sp, but this was when 100k was considered a lot of sp on the site.

Back then in order to buy one you had to get a seller to buy one for you in real cash and place it in your name if I remember correctly.

"I remember the Longcat 4-chan hacking fiasco." Could anyone tell me what that was about? I've only been here 2 years....

I wish people had saved screenshots of low level pets beating the tar out of impossible opponents... I honestly am meh with training so I might have taken advantage of that, LOL.

Stocks? You just bought shares of things and sold them when their prices got high right?

-I remember the Keith Q&A's as well! I didn't watch them much but I watched them every now and then.

-I also remember spending a whopping 8mil on an Angelic Potion to get my Angelic Darkonite. Now they're ten times the cost, in terms of sP.

-I miss being told if I own a Wishlist item. To this day, I still want it back.

-I kind of miss the Account Worth page, or whatever it was called. I know it's not that old and was removed not too long ago but it was kind of cool seeing a list of items (even if it was inaccurate) and being like "OH I didn't realize I owned something that is actually valuable" lol.

-I remember the site being down for like, 2-3 days as well. Not a fun time.

It really was fun to look at! I found out I had items I didn't even realize I owned just sitting in my vault or in a gallery ahaha. It also helped me earn some extra sP for those items that I didn't really care to hold on to.
