It's fun to see how much the art quality has improved since the site first started.

A bit of catching up now that visitors are gone and TBT challengers have switched (and before Wayward Squirrel 5 starts later today and takes up all my free time). Sorry to be so late responding.

, - thanks for the support. I haven't gotten as far as General Error again (yet) but I admit, I didn''t really think Tos had any chance to beat him. I was just pleased to have made it past Level 25. Still, if you don't try, then you can't possibly win, so ... Even then I almost fell over when Tos actually managed that first win.

And now 81 is trying to pretend that she's one of 's pets and tackling all sorts of big scary things while she's still small. So far it's worked pretty well. (Guess I've learned a few things watching Oranos. :-) ) And, of course, this time around she is ahead of the AP curve (at least for my current scrolls).

All your pets make me hungry.

While the heal does work better for pets with more health, I found that was the best infinite use scroll for my T3 to beat vampire dog, whom I am convinced is what eclipse was before he became eclipse.

T3 is better for vampire dog because you at least have the icy freezing wand for a chance to freeze and the shrine of Apollina that helps you heal more and block more dark. Feather explosion may be really good for this as well but I don't have that scroll anymore.

Haha Oranos needs to get stronger fast to keep his big brother in check. Even though I've had him beat sanddragon, GE and saggi I don't always have him battle them for BQs simply because it takes too long and drains my resources. Once he is more consistent at beating them it will be better.

- I had the Father Time Scythe for freezing and it was working pretty well for me, but didn't seem to want to freeze Vampire Dog.

Is it dark blocking that I'm looking for with him? I haven't had time to pay much attention to that yet. 81 is only T2 and hasn't quite managed any wins on Vampire Dog yet with Aftershocks, but she did get a win with Morosbane. I'm guessing she could probably get at least one more with Lucky if she had one and read a few dozen more books so she could use it. I'm thinking she may just need to wait until closer to the end of the month when she will (hopefully) be T3.

Yes, I have noticed that early wins with lower tier pets tend to eat resources if you let them. :-)

I didn't realize that the Recycle Blaster could blow up and turn itself into a Recycled Wad that would sit in your weapon list. Since it took so long to happen it must be pretty rare to get a taste of what I do to those challengers.

Yeah, dessert names... not good for my diet. Must keep exercising!

That's good to know, that RB is in my current weapon set, maybe I'll start using it in every battle...

Does it only stay like that for the current battle and then go back to normal?

It was probably because of the heal on morosbane since morosbane would heal 81 for over 300% haha. It's like when I let my little ones use gift of the forj, complete overkill. Go big or go home- get her to 50 and give her the void xD

you mean when you were battling you had a recycled wad in your set after using the blaster? Were you also using the soma tablets, truth serum or a weapon with a chance to steal? If you used both at the same time there is the chance you will still the wad from your opponent.

I have a notorious sweet tooth. Cakes are my weakness haha. They also are not helping to diet. I just wanna lose 5 lbs T-T

Went back to normal

I was also using Soma Tablets, but the battle text seemed to say that I blasted my own Blaster. So I think it blew itself up from the text, but it's possible I had another one in a million and stole the Recycled Wad from Maleria's cat after having blasted one of its weapons.

- it was a combination of the heal which kept her alive one round where even a Phoenix Quill might not plus that 40 icons of damage which added to two T2 bombs made enough of a dent for 81 to barely survive that battle. But my damage seems to be a whole lot less trying the same thing for win number two.

Yep - that happened to me recently. Used the blaster, then used the UltimaPlus Tag for it's heal plus chance to freeze and guess what it up and decided to steal. :-) Fortunately, it's chance to steal is low so I was able to win the follow-up battle.

- if you aren't saving your stealer for healing or some other reason, it might be better to steal and then blast if you can manage to wait on the blast. (Although my battle text did clearly say that the UltimaPlus Tag stole the Recycled Wad.)

It was Maleria's Familiar, who can one shot me and has kinda freeze/steal protection after the first turn. So I take I free turn after freezing it to double blast with Soma and the Recycle Blaster.

It's better than Chase at least? I usually leave levels 25-30 until later in the day so I don't get too frustrated by getting one shot or chain crit/frozen.

- that sounds like a good strategy for you so you won't be frustrated. After all, if you have beat these challengers before, then you know you will be able to do it again. I know it's frustrating when it takes multiple attempts, but at least you are sure it can be done. Good luck with any remaining BQs for today.

I have Chase unlocked now, but it will be a loooooong time before I'm close to ready to challenge him. :-)

On the path to tier 6. It's going to take me a long time but well worth it. I almost have enough for the reborn wand so I can have my RIWoD ready for when that day happens.

The battle text when you use the blaster always says this when you use it:

"Your Recycle Blaster charges slightly before exploding into a cloud of mist that obscures your vision for a second. I wonder what has happened? BANG! The Recycle Blaster blasts the ******! Wow it's brand new now! cough The Recycle Blaster needs to recharge! It won't work again so soon... Oh, no! Your Recycle Blaster has broken for the remainder of this battle!"

If you are also using the soma tablets after the recycle blaster then it has the chance to steal the wad back, especially if your enemy doesn't have that many weapons.

Yeah a ton of icons doesn't matter if your strength is low. Your enemy could still block out most of the damage just by having higher defense and partial blocking the icons. The void scroll does 30 - 40 icons of dark and blocks 75 of all element types and has a high chance to freeze :D

Do you perhaps still want help with T3 set for Vampire Dog? I've just got 10 wins with my tiny T3, w/o using scroll (because he's got zero AP XD). Here's my set:

SPOILER (click to toggle) + + x2 +

Another dark-blocking option: Death Charm I think Shrine of Porin can be replaced with Shrine of Apollonia, though I haven't tried with the later.

Wins 1-4 went pretty smoothly for me, but starting from win 5 I used Dark potions for added damage :D. I took a bunch of losses though, 7 losses and 3 ties for 10 wins I think.

I hope it helps. If you've got all the wins you need, please just ignore this post :D.

- yes, I was just talking about The Void Scroll with so I looked it up. :-) Of course if I actually had 50 AP, I might think of other ways to use it. There are just so many difficulties being T2 after having just gotten used to T9 :-) - I just have to try and remember how I managed it the first time around.

- and only two below T3 weapons in your Vampire Dog set and I was already using them. I think 81 might need to train some more before she manages to beat him a second time. Good news is I'll settle for five wins though. (Actually, I'm very happy just to have managed one. :-) )

If you and are looking for a dark block plus healing the Shrine of Apollonia is better than the Shrine of Porin because it blocks 6 dark and heals 20 hp for ten turns (also blocks 6 Earth and 6 Wind. Heals 20 hp. 15% freeze protection and 15% steal protection - no curse damage though). And they're selling for under 10K (although did say she already has one).

Yeah Apollonia is good :D. I wish I had enough space to take both shrines into battle :D

I think 81 can stand a chance at 10 wins before the next rollover. Morosbane would be darn helpful when she's got more stats :D
