Lol my zombie skin already has its own eyebrows, but I don't go as a zombie all the time so maybe eventually I'll use them too. I just thought they were neat because we didn't really have any expressive eyebrows like that which aren't part of an eye/eyebrow combo.

Yeah, the seasons go by how they are in the US. The summer solstice starts like around midnight between June 20 & 21, so it will probably change sometime around then. They usually have a news post a week or a few days before as a reminder of exactly what day they will change it.

Winter Solstice here is June 21st and Summer is December 21st. Mind you it doesn't seem to have the same impact here is Far North Queensland then it does in Adelaide, South Australia. Here the day length doesn't change a whole lot, unlike Adelaide where it changes dramatically between the shortest and longest days.

Anyway enough blabbering from me. I still have stuff to do before the end of the game day.

Spent Wednesday accumulating all the battle eggs I could get and then fed them all to 81 after having boosted her AP to 15 via Mystic Spindle and books. Then spent the day battling with her (although I wonder if I should have eaten the eggs somewhat later because I also spent all day training Level - ugh until right after I finished with the TBT challengers when she finally gained enough levels to be able to train another stat again).

Did battle quests with 81 Wednesday and made it all the way through Level 10 before she was brought to a screeching halt by Mechalag at Level 11.

Also managed 10 wins on the Spirited Coin Shrine and 5 wins on Vehnam (sort of got stuck there) without needing to use any of her accumulated EXP to boost stats, so creating her last month in hopes of beating the TBT challengers was a success. Today she easily got 10 wins on Goo Hund, but so far is unable to get a win on Vampire Dog (even substituting a borrowed Morosbane for Aftershocks and getting a lucky freeze with my Father Time Scythe didn't quite do it because her health is so low she gets killed even when using a Phoenix Quill). She has 2 losses but did manage 1 tie. Wondering if I should just wait until I train some more before continuing. Guip, on the other hand, easily got 10 wins on both challengers (what a difference a couple of Tiers make :-) ) even when I accidentally sent her into battle against Vampire Dog with the Tier 2 weapon set (I hate when I do that :-) ).

So far 81 has 10 wins on all the Easy Challengers (except Aboxalypse who I skipped for time reasons) as well as Erdoo, Lizard Minion, Manticat, Muffin Man, Tide and Vulty.

I don't know how you all do this regularly. I wound up battling (or prepping for battle) pretty much all of Wednesday and then was almost as exhausted as though I had been in the Battle Coliseum myself. You certainly have my admiration for all your persistence and accomplishments. They are truly well earned.

Tier 2 is hard. I am now spoiled because, while Tos faces difficult challengers, there are so many useful weapons and scrolls. Aftershocks only heals 6 HP for poor 81 so great as an attack scroll but not all that useful as a healer. I wound up using things like Jewel Encrusted Quill and Mystical Orb of the Gods and thank goodness for my Phoenix Quill. No stealers, Father Time Scythe for a freezer, no good defense or hard hitting weapons and can't use Shinwas Temple Shard let alone my new AoN (I did use a Negating Pylonic for the fifth win against Vehnam). Guess this is why you want a Rainbow Vortex! Got good use out of Purple Love Shield and actually have a Rainbow Vortex Blob Doll in 81's default weapon set. Was lucky enough to have a Lambent Guardian Crystal as well as a Batwing Blade (although the crystal worked better for most of the opponents she has faced so far). And who knew the Water Battle Wand blocks 5 physical and has a mod slot?

I do have a Blackmoon Hand Blaster, but couldn't find any safe time to blast except with opponents where I really didn't need to. I found that with such low health it was freeze (if possible), block, hit hard, heal as much as possible and hope. Blasting would have meant giving up hitting, blocking and/or healing and there just wasn't any time for that. Also, the resulting weapon still does 13 icons of damage - not all that helpful for Tier 2. On the other hand, since I found the Blackmoon Hand Blaster in my vault, I do now have a double blast possible for when I need one for my higher tier pets (still need to get those Soma Tablets eventually though).

All in all a good learning experience, but still, I can't wait for Tier 3 when I can at least use a Shrine of Apollonia and a Sparkling Quill. :-)

- don't you also have a Phoenix Quill? That might help at Tier 3. And Icy Freezing Rod of Doom is a good Tier 3 freezer.

You'll find aftershocks is more useful for pets who have higher HP. But int he meantime, it still defends and attacks -- so I wouldn't count it out just yet. With so little HP, smaller pets will find things like the healing quill weapons more useful than scrolls -- unless they have high intel and can easily fit morostide or gale force scrolls into their set. Good Luck! :)

- 81 has an AP of 15 thanks to Mystic Spindles and lots of reading, but that was part of the plan. I wanted Aftershocks for the damage since an extra 24 icons per turn is a big deal at Tier 2! The defense is nice too if the icons are helpful for a challenger. I just hadn't realized at first that 7% of a small number is a really small number. :-) Aftershocks still works great - if you have enough healing elsewhere to survive a few rounds. :-)

I did manage one win on Vampire Dog with 81 by using Morosbane but now very stuck trying for a second win, so that's going to have to wait for a while.

My teeniest pet (T1) has an AP of 42 (intel 676) so even she can equip a lucky (19 AP) scroll. She has to use divine d instead of aftershocks though. Just need one more AP point... lol

My T2/3 scroll set is a lucky, gale force, and aftershocks. After that, for the larger pets, my other scroll sets are serious.

The benefit of having the ability to equip a lucky scroll even at T1 is that I won't have to change scroll sets when I run everyone through the TBTs. For most pets, I won't even have to change the weapon set -- lucky will cause enough damage. :)

- that would do it!

Unfortunately, I'm not lucky enough to have a Lucky Scroll (or a pet with high enough tier to win one) :-) That was sort of the idea of borrowing the Morosbane Scroll (40 light icons, instead of 50) and it did work once. Right now, I'm still pretty scroll deficient which is why I'm just starting to raise all four of my pet's AP. My biggest pet (T9) still only has an AP of 37 which is more than enough to equip Aftershocks and my one Cobalt Eternal plus a Death Delusion. When I finally get around to buying/earning/making scrolls I'll need to get a bunch of books out of my vault and start reading!

Morosbane and Gale Force (available in the battle shop) are almost just as good and those are in my larger pets' scroll sets.

Don't forget about all the quill weapons that have a nice heal on them. Stuff like jewel encrusted quill at T2 which heals for 50, or sparkling quill at T3 which heals for 100, or rainbow quill at T4 which heals for 150. While most quills are OPB, they act as full healers for your tiny pets and they rs at NPC shops, so they are also affordable! :)

- I have several quills - including bronze and sparkling - I would have used sparkling, but 81 is still only T2 and had to settle for jewel encrusted which is in her default set.

I wound up scrambling for every OPB bigger heal weapon, preferable with at least some attack. Shinwas Healing Wine can be used as a weapon - it's OPB, takes the healing slot, blocks 1 of every icon and heals 50-75 hp (and, of course, later you can use it as a stat booster). Jewel Encrusted Quill only heals 50 hp, but it also has a nice attack. I wish I could equip two, but Mystical Orb of the Gods heals 40 hp and at least has a 6 icon attack (plus mod slot). I also needed water defense (I think for Vehnam) and wound up with Cape of Scales - T1, blocks 10 water - semi-breakable. I'm told you can equip more than one, but I didn't wind up trying that. I decided to think of it as the T1 version of AoN for water defense - although I find it confusing how a cape that doesn't even reach your ankles provides much defense against a snake-like challenger. :-)

ROFL! :D

You reminded me of some weapons I need to toss back in my armory! Thanks! :)

I have some appointments today, but later on I'll start with my littlest pets on the TBTs if time permits. I normally run them through from highest on down, but you've piqued my curiosity... ;)

- thank you.

All my pets have to like to read - reading is a big deal in my family. I do have lots of books in my vault. Books and reading are a favorite activity of mine (in real life too). I wanted to have a pet that had read every book on site so I started buying them well before battling. I just put any expensive ones in my vault - just in case I needed them for some other reason. :-) Of course, there are still tons that I don't have any copies of, but I do have a fair number that I should be able to read, at least to Tos if I ever get enough scrolls to really need the AP.

- that was my problem too! 81 is only T2 - but she was using either an Aftershocks or a Morosbane Scroll besides (of course, she did not get killed the turn she used the Morosbane Scroll - a shame she couldn't bank all of the 300 hp it generates :-) ).
