If I understand it right just means they won't use this format for regular plot boss battles. Whether or not we're going to have this format for annual events like the Gelatin War remains at the BA's discretion :P. They might keep the format but up the damage requirement, or they might come up with something new entirely - that remains to be seen :).

Last year I think it was for like top 50 or 25 overall (something like that) plus the top pet in each tier (but no doubles, so if you were in the top 25-50 you couldn't get a second for having the top pet in tier 12 or 13 as well). That's how I got mine last year, I was in Tier 9 I think.

I'm not sure how it will be next time, they could do something similar to this time and just raise the damage amount maybe. I know they said they probably won't use this exact system for other plot bosses, but the Gelatin War is the same pretty much every time and we know what the prizes tend to be.

Thank you! In the past, it used to be only the top 25 battlers that got a core. Then last year they did top 25 overall and then top 10 of each tier. I like the way they did it this year, but I think they need to up the amount of damage to win the core to 10 mil. With the new battling system and releasing the hydragellos at the beginning instead of the end allows people to do a lot more damage. Even Oranos who didn't get to battle as much since I was away at the beach managed to get around 1.5 mil damage in.

If Hydragellos came at the beginning of the war again next time, I wouldn't mind them upping the damage to 10m for the core , even 12.5-15m LOL

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if the damage amount is increased for next time. Although still fewer than 200 Cores went out this time, so it's not /too/ many I guess, but I know this was kind of their test run since they hadn't done a system like this before.

I still think it would be cool to see something like was mentioning though and to have a new Genetech combo weapon with the Cores and some other hard-ish to obtain item. That would help to remove some of them from the system.
