- you don't have to beat him ten times in one year to earn the achievement and the concoction. So it is still possible that you earned the achievement in the past. Do you have a Gelatin Concoction in your vault? Or could you possibly have sold one? If you really think you just got the achievement this year, then you need to file a ticket. Good Luck in getting this resolved.

I have no Gelatin Concoction and never would have sold it. I made out a ticket and will see what happens and thank you! :)

And if you think grinding minis with the new UI is tiresome, just imagine the old one. Still mindless, but with 3 times the clicking. Grinding out those wins on the old UI was one of the most mentally exhausting things I've ever done on here.

I've done some grinding since I started getting serious about battling. And, actually, I personally prefer the old UI by far - and find it to be a little less mindless. Without preselection, I actually had to at least think about which boxes I was checking,. And when I turn preselection off in the new UI I find it takes a lot longer to use than the old one did - it's not 3 clicks equal 3 clicks, for lots of reasons that I have thought a lot about and that are not just getting familiar with a new way - but I don't want to go into them all in this thread.

And, by the way, I am willing to make an educated guess, that the speed of battling the minis, is one of the contributing reasons to the lag.

I know that you love the new UI - and I am honestly pleased for you. But even after this Gelatin War (and if 1200 battles against the Hydragellos didn't get me familiar with the new UI, then I am never going to be), there are some things about it that I dislike enough that I don't enjoy myself battling any more and am wondering whether or not I will continue - or for how long. Which is a shame, because I was really starting to have a lot of fun with both Tos and 81.

I'm really trying very hard to give the new UI a fair chance (in fact that was one of my reasons for working to earn that core, since I do already have one from last year), but, at least, for me, familiarity does not alleviate contempt (to corrupt a famous quote).

I would like to be extremely clear here that I much appreciate both and for working to try to make battling better and for really paying attention to user feedback and for putting in a lot of work to try and reach a solution that is good for everyone. And I still hope to be happier with the end result.

For now, back to the Battle Coliseum. Tharg has about 80 of the 350 battles or so he need against Hydragellos.

have you tried adding custom CSS for the battle page to change a bit? I find it easier to visualize and to plan when I can see everything I have. Using CSS, (and 's CSS to make it larger!) I see the battle screen this way now:

- I did notice talking about some of the Custom CSS changes, and I might need to try some of them. But they don't address all of my problems with the new interface. In any case, especially given how much work has put in and how hard he is trying to make things work for everyone, for now, I want to use the interface without modification and see how I think and feel about it as I go. Once most of the changes have been made, I can think some more about Custom CSS (and I really need to learn to write my own, given my programming background - I just don't seem to find the time to really play with it much). I do like the scroll layout much better in your picture, so I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks for sharing with me!

Here's a strategy I'm using currently that's working okay, even though I'm still taking a lot of losses I've been able to get to 9 wins.

I'm using my slayer + helmet first turn, and then hoping he doesn't freeze my I use weapons + smasher scroll second turn to freeze him again. Then I'm out of freezers, but I put lots of natural armor crystals on my slayer and am using that and my Trident to hit him with, and I only equipped one healer and the rest of my slots are weapons. That way if he keeps stealing things, at least I still have things to hit him with. It's not the best strategy, but it works with what I have.

Hopefully you can get more wins on him later!

I'm going to try a bit longer to get this last win I need, and then you can use my Slayer for however long you need it for after.

It's good to know that the core is the top prize, didn't want to stay at 5mil and possibly miss any extra rewards.

Also, just a thought, but are you using a Rapier of Error? It does have a 10 percent chance to freeze if your speed is over 1300, so that could give you some extra freezes if you have room for it. Or would AoN help? I'm battling with Tharg right now and he can't use it.

Thank you! So glad to never have to worry about that again, except for the 5 wins next time for loot. But the 5 wins this time wasn't so bad for me, it was the 6-10 wins when he became a huge pain in the ass.

I was only using critical strike and blessing of natural armor crystals, which are both cheap so don't worry about it. Plus yeah, I'm probably just going to put it back in my wardrobe anyway.

It's great you don't have to worry about him again ! He was a huge pain in the ass wins 1-4, and particularly worse to get the 5th win in for me.... I'm so happy though, that I managed to get 5 wins. I can definitely wait until the next war to try and get the other 5 wins. I'm proud of being able to finally get the Wizard achievement halfway through and get some loot. :D

Thank you very much for the congratulations too :). I haven't tried stealing with Menecuda but he's freezable when his blessing is not up (or runs out - does it ever run out? :P). Curses, healing and blessings are enabled for both sides (though he heals via blessing rather than his weapons). I'll need to battle with him more to see how stealing works, but I won't probably try it until I've got ME. I actually went into the battle with Gel Slayer thinking it would have the 10% heal but later learned the hard way that it didn't. It was not a very wise decision on my part and I don't want to make the same decision again :P (almost got killed heh).

Did you get the Hydragellos core as soon as you do 5mil damage? or was that one you already had?
