the extra orb and feathers is nice, and i like getting the offense/chain rewards upfront instead of having to wait for the season to end, but trying for a deathless run was like pulling teeth. i feel like i'll have to keep a close watch on my rank during my t18 weeks... i kinda wish they'd left it at 7-wins and made arena assault 5-wins instead, haha

Bikini Tharja is definitely a weird choice for armour. I have my own issues with her because she was one of my favourite units in my Awakening run through, she killed everything and was also a bit of a socially weird nerd. Heroes has turned into something she isn't, and it's really making me not like her, and I resent that.

Also the new arena change - I like it, I think. It's nice to get an extra orb as a reward but yeah, I thought that it would reset once you've run through 5 because lord knows I need an excuse to burn through the 250+ duelling swords I have. Perhaps it'll reset each day.

So guess who beat Kana Infernal with Fliers?! I was trying out the new enemy music off feature because Dusk Falls is ace and managed to do it.

I definitely think RNG screwed my Leon as well because him and Python just missed... everything (or it felt like it). Also, on my god that Genealogy tip is truth. Chapter 1 took me so freaking long to do because I moved my units into a corner before realising what would happen and it made it so much harder.

Speaking of which I LOVE the enemy music being off. It even applies if you have battle animations on. We get to hear all the music in all it's glory now, it's wonderful :')

- I'm with you re Arena be 7 and assault be 5. It's suck a slog trying to get a deathless run in the assault. my secondary teams need some (read: A LOT) of work. I got to 6 today, then had two units die and just game up :(

Congrats on finally beating Kana though! My fliers failed, so I just went straight up tank. I had to switch Nowi's C back to threaten res, and her Ignis back to Bonfire, but she did it, pretty much all by herself, with a healer, and tactic buffs. The stupid enemy attacked priscilla with panic + causing the buffs on the red dragon to become debuffs so Nowi could take him down in one hit.

haha, right? Similar to Stamina potions, I don't even think twice about using one of my dueling swords... but I also complete my full run of the arena and then... stop for the week. Once I hit 7/5 there isn't really motivation to go through again (I'm not a huge OH MY GOD I NEED TO MOVE UP person. In fact I'm a "Perpetually seems stuck in Tier 18" person), so I was really hoping this would give me that motivation. Alas, it does not.

[edit] OH MAN yes if they made Assault 5 wins instead, I'd be all over that. I hardly remember to do the assault just because it's frustrating and tedious for me (though probably easier now that I've fleshed out a LOT of my units... now it's just remembering to go actually Do the Thing)

And with the last few hours left and a 4.25 pitty bonus plus spending a card on it, I fail to get anything besides Haridan from Wings of Fate >_<, I had better luck with the LEGENDARY banner in retro spect.

Bleh, shame to end on such a rough note....hopefuly next banner will be better, this did nail me on Arenas some though.

Thanks for the tips! I'm slowly working through Shadow Dragon, had a bit of spare time on a ferry ride yesterday (and this time had taken my tablets for motion sickness, phew) and have managed to beat chapter 7 on Shadow Dragon. The same turn reinforcements are truly... something. Especially the one that appeared, charged Cain and only missed KOing him with a Ridersbane thanks to like, the 68% hit rate failing. Poor Cord wasn't so lucky. I also managed to kill the thunder mage priest guy because I had no idea who was supposed to recruit him and I had zero internet access (apparently it's Marth or Jagen, eh). Bord is also a goner. I'm kinda loving Castor and Merric is so so useful, early Excalibur (which I'm trying to conserve) and targeting Res, when most foes have 0, is pretty nifty.

I think... Leon was kinda my MVP of Echoes, no matter how many times he missed. When he finally unlocks Hunter's Volley all hell breaks loose. Also Dread Fighters are broken across the board so like, Saber, Kamui and Gray were all pretty handy. I also loved Sonya's design and character (her art in Heroes is top notch, her lines... not so much) and have a soft spot for Lukas, whenever I see a built Lukas I feel happy. My cavs and pegs weren't anything special tbh, plus I mucked up when recruiting the sisters so they were way less useful once I'd already trekked through the desert maps with Leon mostly soloing.

Nothing exciting to report on Heroes bar pulling a 4* Shigure on my first blue orb today, a pleasant surprise!

Oooh I turned off animations some times ago (I think when we got the first TT) but I might put them on again then! :o Also it's not much, but I like how we get some HM when we finish a Tap battle level now. I wish it was already around for the last one, I played that last level sooo much to try to S-rank it because Twilight of the Gods is so good! (I didn't get the S rank but was quite close sometimes)

I think I should say more often that I don't plan on spending more than 15 orbs on a new banner, because last time I said that I got Olwen as my free summon, and this time I got a +Spd/-Res Ishtar in the last orb I opened! Also finished Ursula infernal quests so it's a pretty good day for me so far! :P Only have Xander and Robin to finish now.

rolled a couple blues hoping for reinhardt merges, got... ishtar. i prefer my The Reinhardt or corrin, but she's neat. (also i saw no reds, i really hope lene gets demoted...)

i don't have enough patience to try for deathless assault runs x: i do like, one mid-difficulty run at the beginning of the week, and then three easy wins for the daily feathers the rest of the week.

and man, i don't know how to pronounce any of these names. i think ylgr might be like "eel-grr"??? i'm not even going to try and pronounce hrid.

... Lol, if I get a deathless run it's usually advance, then easy x6. I usually try the first day on advance, then usually have someone die along the way. so I just surrender after I get to three, then it's advance int, and surrender if someone dies, then advance easy until I get deathless, then easy easy easy the rest of the week.
This week is the first week that I actually got all 7 on intermediate difficulty without any deaths. I changed up all my teams this week, I think it helped. (all the teams now have at least one unit with either reposition, drag back, or swap.

I've become pretty decent at getting seven deathless wins for Arena Assault, I actually kinda enjoy it. I'm not really... pushing my score so the battles aren't too challenging, circa 700, but it's cool to use my full roster of built units. I don't get too many chances to pull out my Tobin or Shiro, or whoever else, too often.

Also lol @ another tap battle starting tomorrow omg. And another Grand Conquest again?! I ended up tier 24 and missed out on 25 by like... two small lances. :c The requirements were pretty punishing as I had become pretty good at acing maps on Lunatic with my fliers and spent all my big lances on it, too. Hm.

- I know, I'm so sick of tap battle already! This one has lasted too long!

Last GC I forgot to use my lances before the end, so I ended at Tier 21 but still had 11 lances I could have used. I mainly just did AB on hard mode. AB on hard mode usually got me full points, where as actually TRYING on lunatic usually didn't result in any attacks on the fortress, and full points on hard gets you sightly more than getting all but fortress points on lunatic.

I guess they're pushing another GC so soon so we can see the changes with the teleportation; should be much easier to gain territory now the enemy can't retaliate. The prizes are great (lol I have 305k feathers atm) and I've taken to just spending all 8 lances at once just because it's easier and saves so much time so can't complain too much, but wow is it soon.

And yeah, I thought this tap battle was way too long. The new daily quests are the pits, fighting the same bosses on loop is so dull.

Also grooms vs cyl2? What do we think we're going to get?

Edit: just did my arena runs and found out I'm quite close to dropping from tier 18 hmm, I guess the changes had a big impact on the boundaries as it's usually easy to promote. I'm running B!Cordelia, Inigo, Fjorm and Ryoma at the moment but only have a merge on Inigo and no dual rallies. I keep thinking about working on Fae and Effie (or Nowi, but have zero for merges) so might have to commit soon haha.

i did a lil google sheet calendar since i don't like the in-game one, and that was my first thought lmao -- who asked for a month long tap battle? i like tap battle, but not that much, and not when the current one ends today!

and yeah, i think a lot of people are hovering at the edge of t19. i was set to drop into t17 but i finally managed a deathless run today and it boosted my ranking a lot o: went from something like rank 27k to rank 512.

- Jealous of your feathers! I had almost 200k, but then I spent them all getting +10 Nino. I want to upgrade the L'Arachel I just got to 5* to give res tactic to someone too, but I don't know who, and I don't really want to use my feathers on that either.

I've never really looked into how arena scoring works. I'm still getting 680-690 per battle. I'm slotted to move back down to T18 from T19. but that was expected. So I don't think the changes have really affected me that much? I wonder if the shorter cycle is encouraging people to forfeit if the score isn't maxed though. With only 5 scores added, those small differences between the 685 teams and 690 teams are more significant, and the crest cost to do it is lower.
