- managed to beat infantry with Nino, had to bring Ephraim with lance breaker to get rid of the lunch cavalier, so he actually ended up being the MVP (needed his rally speed to give Inigo enough speed to not get doubled by the blue tome guy as well) Got Armour and Cavaliers too, missed the flier one, but meh, who don't need an extra GHB unit in my barracks right now. Michaelis might not get done, my day today is too busy :( Plus there's so much other stuff to throw my stamina at right now! lol.

- All banners hate me :( I still can't believe I ended up with two RED pity breakers on the last one when I was trying to pull for Myrrh. Green orbs hate me. Arthur has been replaced with Cherche as the unit I continually summon, so I've started merging her now too.

I actually just managed to finish the Michalis quests with a stroke of luck.

Fliers went first, straight down the middle. Easy with a built squad, to be honest. I used TA NY!Azura to tank the blue flier and it was pretty easy from there. Elinica took out Michalis while Cordelia destroyed both of the red fliers.

Next attempt was Cavalry. Pretty sure I used them to clear Infernal in the first place and somehow remembered the outline of what I did. Went down the right with Reinhardt to kill the red cav and Brave Lyn to kill the blue flier. Repositioned her out of the way with Sigurd and it was followed from there.

Tried taking the right with Infantry but failed my first attempt as Brave Bridal Cordelia didn't have the raw power to take out the Iote's blue flier and it all fell apart. Went down the right with the same squad - Bridal Cordelia, Azura, PA!Azura and Celica (to easily take out Michalis) and found it much easier. Just had to dance and Reposition with Cordelia once we took out the red flier on the left.

Last up was Armour and managed it on my first attempt. Used W!Tharja, Amelia, Effie and Black Knight to take on the left. I gave Tharja Close Def 3 so she hits 48 def when initiated on, backed with a Fortify and Ward she goes all the way up to 58 so was happy to park her on the left and let Ignis proc on the red flier and Michalis. The red flier didn't die but managed to work it out from there.

Yeah the boon IV display glitch happens with a handful of other specific IVs. +Spd NY!Camilla is one of 'em, too, dunno why they haven't fixed it.

- I thought that I did Horse emblem for Michaelis before, but it seems like I did it with horse +dancer. I can't figure it out now. Maybe Priscilla and her panic attack can help out dropping all those buffs. But horse only gets another Michaelis, I want dem orbs! I can't figure out infantry. My flier team might actually be able to to this one, since they can hop over the mountains.

managed flier emblem for michalis but ran out of time for the other emblems. oh well, there's time. and now! xander is back! still haven't spent my 20k flags... wondering if i should push to win his +2.

I'm glad it was Roy C: Him and Hector are the ones I wanted the most, and I have a soft spot for him as Normal Roy was my very first 5* and he carried me through a lot of my early FEH-ing.

Great to see Xander back but his infernal is so hard, I can't even beat it with Horse Emblem and they hardly ever fail me. Found a video online that looked like it was going to work... so used my remaining 20K feathers to give her Brave Bow+ then realised it's because they have a merged BowLyn that lets her tank damage a bit more. Hmm. Glad he's coming back next week to give us more time to figure it out XD

Yeah this one is really tricky, definitely the hardest revival thus far. :c Really hard to bait anything successfully.

Took me three attempts with Cavalry, in the end I swapped Sigurd out for Eirika to take the right side. She managed to remove the red sword and beat both green tomes on the enemy phase. Reinhardt and Eirika proceeding to take out Xander while B!Lyn hit the lance unit and removed him. Then, with just the healer left, I just had to protect Eirika from a hit and won from there, Cecilia had an easy ride this time.

Infantry took two attempts. First try involved Celica taking on the right, as Eirika had previously, then the green tome, then dancing her out of her as she couldn't survive the green tome cav. Didn't work, though, as I ended up overwhelmed after that. The answer to my problems was my new Sanaki! I gave her Swordbreaker 2 + Draw Back from Sully (... from two Sullys because I only managed to select Draw Back first time whoops) and QR3 seal. She went right and attacked the red sword, danced her and attacked again to take him out. I drew Azura back with Linde. Then Sanaki effortlessly took out both green tomes thanks to her default TA3. Xander came down the middle where he was met by Linde alongside Azura and PA!Azura and managed to make quick work of them!

Just did Armour and it kinda played out exactly how I wanted it. This time, W!Tharja was positioned to take on four foes - Xander, the green tomes and the red sword. I gave her Fortify Armour from Effie and positioned her within Ward range from BK so she barely flinched while proccing Ignis on all bar Xander. It was pretty easy from there, though. The lance swapped with Xander so I closed in with Tharja and Effie but didn't attack to avoid an Ignis proc from him. He poked Effie so she retaliated with Brave Lance Bonfire and took him out, which left Xander as easy prey. This was much easier thanks to Tharja but I imagine BK could do it with Ward support and QR3.

As you might be able to tell, the key to success, for me, has been a strong red tome user! Only problem is the red sword is actually quite bulky and gets Drive Res, too, which means you need to reach 61 attack with a red tome, and double, to take him out. Infantry probably has an easier time as you can dance your tome user, so the requirements are less strict, but Swordbreaker is a quick option to make things easier. Standard Tharja could work, I think, but her Res is a little shaky. I imagine Celica could work if you go DD3 (mine uses L&D3) but you need to be able to take out the green tomes, too, so it's a balance.

No idea what I'm gonna about Fliers though. The map is so restrictive with positioning and I don't really have any who could bait, hmmmm. Gonna have to scout out what others are doing.

Ah... I don't have Eirika and sadly Leo never came home fore me either so I am missing a red mounted tome user. Did you run Gronnblade or Gronnraven on your Cecilia? (I have Raven on mine at the moment, she's +res... actually worked well for me especially as she runs iceberg, but she rarely doubles... maybe I should look at some other IVs for her.)

I do however have a Sanaki, so I'll finish off getting her to L40 and give it a whirl! Might be time to look at building up regular Tharja as well. My Linde has desperation + ardent sacrifice, so I might try a different set of skills on her for this map.

For Fliers, I've tried Hinoka with her refined spear and Cordelia with firesweep moving straight up to Xander but they can't one shot him, and then the green mages kill them any way. I am thinking that I might put some more skills on Michalis as I think that my flier team really needs some bulk to take on this map. I've also heard that Beruka makes a great tank for this map, but I don't have the feathers at the moment to invest in her at the moment

I run Gronnblade+ on her. She's +Spd and runs Darting Blow 3 so she can go all the way up to 41 speed with a Hone buff, which is useful. I think bladetomes thrive outside Arena as you're going to encounter far fewer troublesome bow users, so it's nice to have her as a nuke.

Yeah Sanaki really came through for me, despite being +HP -Atk. I didn't even have to give her a special, like even Swordbreaker 1 would work as she never lost any health to the mages and can still double Xander if necessary. My Linde is standard Blarblade+ with Moonbow/Fury/Desperation but Xander has such a monstrous health pool that she struggled to OHKO him anyway, but Sanaki can clear up if necessary.

Edit: I totally cracked and used a stamina potion because I was so damn close with fliers. And I did it! Yes of course all that skill inheritance (including 20k feathers for Gronnblade+) was worth it for two orbs. Used Spring Camilla, Cordelia, Elincia and NY!Azura. It was so haphazard and pure circumstance that I could solve all the issues I had but so happy I managed to work it out. Flier Formation ended up being surprisingly helpful, alongside Heavy Blade Galeforce from Cordelia for both taking out the green mages and tanking Xander.

I am still working on Horse Emblem, I have seem some techniques where you use Gunnthra or Cecelia to block the blue lance and then use TA Xander to counter the green mages and it works to an extend but I am still getting stuck because Gunnthra just dies after a while... back the to the drawing board.

Well just tried tap battle and after three attempts and switching my team, I've given up. I literally lose all of my hearts on the first three enemys so my sense of timing is not on par with the game, I've tried the adjust timing option as well so yeh....going to have to sit this mode out as I don't want to lose my temper and rage over a rythem game. It's not worth a possibly thrown phone --;

fingers crossed we get a fourth roy so you can have roy emblem 8)

i've been poking around reddit looking for emblem vs xanders i can match without too much additional investment -- it's looking like i'll have to promote someone for flyer or infantry emblem, though. really shoulda tried for a ranged flier, i guess p;

took some rushed fishing for SI to match a team and a couple of false starts (and a prayer that fred's res would survive the cleric), but i managed to get my regular horse emblem team to finish infernal. turns out if you can stack 2 fortify buffs + res+3 (or maybe ta3?), then you can safely have reinhardt deal with the red sword, and swap him out with xander, who can tank both green mages and survive (if buffed). (draw back reinhardt out of the way, ofc.) from there it's mostly a game of shuffle and cleanup. i had reinhardt deal with xander (sorry buddy, your aegis didn't help against a Buffed The Reinhardt ft Moonbow), and then fred smooshed the lance and the cleric, but the guide i was referencing went slightly differently.

gonna try armor emblem next~ but not for a bit, i have some other things to do, hah.

e/ got everything done but flier emblem. need to buff up my caeda, and give michalis drag back. that or build a cherche

The hot springs scene was kinda cute haha, I liked it. Alfonse, Sharena, Anna and Fjorm certainly enjoyed themselves! Poor Virion tho, someone include him on my behalf.

I was born without any sense of rhythm and co-ordination so I empathise haha. Are you tapping as the white squares focus on the units, in the red zone, on the summoner at the bottom of the screen? Honestly you could probably just spam the button and make it through as there's no real requirements to advance aside from surviving.

Congrats on making Infantry work! And you'll get Cavalry to work soon, I'm sure of it. Adapting other people's strats is always a good way to go haha.

Did Fliers and Cavalry on Narcian so far. Armours are gonna be a real test because tanking that choke point is brutal.

Used Cordelia, Elinica, NY!Azura and S!Camilla for Fliers again. Pretty easy as you can target the archer with Hit & Run and then it's easy to stay out of range and pick them off. Just bait them back and forth using the mountain range to split them up, as some will go down the corridor on the left while others will come back to the right.

Cavalry was much harder. My strategy hinged on Sigurd being able to tank the blue swordbreaker tome (needs DD3 at least. Mine is -HP and managed it with 1 HP left, but also has a single merge, Ward Cav would make it easier if you want to give up an Eliwood). Reinhardt takes out the red sword then gets repositioned down by Sigurd. Sigurd tanks then they all get out of there. Brave Lyn and Reinhardt cleaned up the rest of the foes, really, with Camus adding some chip damage to take out the bow cav but is largely interchangeable. I used this video for inspiration but my run played out a little differently.

Infantry looks pretty easy. Seems like Fjorm can just solo all bar Narcian with healer support.

I would love a Roy emblem (green Roy for final Roy plz IS)

Ha the final prize for tap battle was unusual, definitely not what I expected. It was still a nice little orb mine though.

you should give it another shot! The level of your heroes doesn’t matter so you can use whoever you want C: I will say that the rhythm can be a bit strange, I’ve hit enemies before and lost my streak. The best way I’ve found is to wait until the box flashes red before tapping, sometimes it’ll recognise the hit but you’ll lose your streak. What level are you playing?

Finally beat Xander with Horse Emblem, sent Reinhardt to kill right red sword and then used TA!Xander to swap him out and he tanked the mages. Rest of the map was mopped up by Lyn and Cecelia.

Also got Xander with Flier emblem, despite lacking a mage flier I managed to do it with Hinoka, Cordelia, Airuza and Elincia.

Narcian was easy to beat with Fliers, Cav needed a bit more work. Just infantry and armour to do now but I really need to invest in my armours I think- they need a few more skills and buffs to really to get through this.

(the GHB have been really good at thinning down my barracks as i skill inherit to get wins, haha)

Infantry was easy, as I suspected. Fjorm tanks the left side with QR seal, with Rehabilitate to heal up and a dander for the healer. Any red sword that can take out Narcian works. I used Ryoma.

Armour was harder but did it after two attempts, surprisingly. I outfitted my entire team with Ward Armour and Swap and took inspiration from this comment (yeah that's me replying) using a squad of BK, Effie, W!Tharja and W!Lissa. The winter units weren't particularly pivotal; Tharja just had to soften up Narcian for Effie to KO with a Bonfire while Lissa mostly tanked behind BK.

ALSO my Arena Assault squad scored 4903 this week, a new record! Still not enough to bump into top 10k though whoops.

Pulled again on Love Abounds... I only seem to get one green orb per summon circle so it’s expensive. Did end up getting pity broken by a Deirdre. Feels kind of appropriate given the theme.

I’ve beaten Narcian with fliers and can so far. Fliers was Hin, Cordy, Airzura and Elincia. Got Elincia up to take out the lower dagger and then repositioned them out of the way and then kind of fluffed it from there. Elin took out the right while Hin and Cordy took the right... I used Cordelia’s fire sweep to take a chunk out of the manakete and finished off with Hinoka

Cav I used Xander, put vantage and quick riposte on him and he tanked the first enemy phase and took out a dagger user and severely crippled the other one. Once that was done it was a case of moving everyone around to avoid any big hits... I do remember though the blue manakete was a team effort between Cecelia, Lyn and Reinhardt.

Still working on infantry but I’m close.

I found armour pretty easy for this one, was the first team I went in with. I just put W!Tharja - backed with three Wards, Close Def 3 and the Drive Def seal - in the range of Naverre, green hammer and both ninjas and she took them all out with Ignis whoops. I think a BK could work instead, just give him the QR3 seal. He'll take a little more damage along the way but I think he'd be able to survive as Tharja came away almost unscathed. There's also a spot that's slightly less intense without Naverre to duel but he's pretty weak. I think the hammer is the biggest concern but with such stacked defence and colour advantage... I think she took 9 damage.

Fliers were easy too. Same team as before, they work pretty well. S!Camilla sniped the hammer to get things moving and it was easy from there.

Going to go in with Cavalry when my stamina restores. Planning to use Reinhardt to take out Naverre and Reposition and Draw Back his way out of there. I've always thought Naverre has the easiest GHB, personally.

Edit: Yup yup managed it. Reinhardt lacked the fire power (used HB seal for 1 turn Moonbow, could have done it if he was +Atk) to take out Naverre so had to use B!Lyn to take out the hammer instead and worked back from there. They clump up between the trees so was easy to pick them off.

Used Sothe, Celica, Linde and Azura for Infantry. Sothe did the heavy lifting. He was able to double Naverre with a hone and +Spd seal which brought him down to 1HP. Peshkatz is my fave, so great for maps like this where everyone is close together.

First set of quests I've done on my first attempts!

My armour emblem is still struggling :C I'm using BK, Effie, W!Tharja and OGHector, but my Tharja can't tank the daggers, Navarre and the Green Hammer, and I don't have enough Ward Armours/SP to inherit on my prefered team at the moment. I tried playing around with the seals and even swapping out Effie with Draug (promoted him to 40 so I'd be able to get Ward Armour) but the second dagger with Poison strike kills her, and quite spectacularly. My W!Tharja has 31 def iirc, BK has 36 so he faired slightly better but still gets taken out in second player phase.

I haven't really super invested in Armour Emblem before (I don't really like their limited movement) but I think I'm going to have to make some SP for BK and Effie hanging out in the training tower.

I did however get infantry after I borrowed your hint regarding Sothe. I really owe you an e-cookie or something, it's been very helpful so thanks C:

It took almost all of my 280 orbs, but Fancy Doublet Hector finally came home! Going to save up some more orbs before continuing to try for Lyn.

Man, Navarre GHB is a walk in the park compared to the last ones. I didn't manage any infernal wins on Michaelis or Xander (Xander I hadn't even beaten lunatic mode!) Narcian I didn't even have a chance to try cus I was too busy.

i skipped narcian and navarre in favor of quests -- fjorm and friends feels like it took forever, i really do need to 5* sharena. i managed to clear most of them with the dev maps and then 10th stratum (still gotta finish monthly quests), but finding an armored unit for sharena to beat up was difficult ><;

(whispers i rolled on the tempest banner and got ninian within three rolls i'm cry i've wanted her forever and now i can do tempest team ninian / fancy eliwood / fancy hector / regular lyn)
