Drew had slipped out to the bathroom and then come back and helped himself to some more food before settling in his chair again. He was a bit surprised to see the little group he'd been with had acquired another new girl. He smiled politely at her (). Drew heard her mention that she had attended Ilvermorny, but before he could talk to her about that Millie and Emmett () called everyone to attention for the last presentation.

He listened to the information about Castelobruxo, having never heard of the school before. "I like the fact that the robes are dark green," Drew grinned.

He listened with interest to the discussion about capybaras. "They mostly eat grass and water plants," he said, "but I'm sure carrots and melons are like a treat to them and they'll eat them if they can get them." ( and just in case you guys are around)

"I agree with Poppy (), this has been a really fun workshop, Millie and Emmett," Drew said. "I've enjoyed it. It was a great introduction for my first workshop here at Hogwarts." He smiled at Millie and Emmett.

"Well if all else fails I guess you could use an impediment charm on it... so you can run away or toss some grass at it." He patted Millie's shoulder.

((ooc okay so I just now notice that I pinged Mangus instead of your real user name LOL. Don't know if that means I am so into the rp or that I was just too tired last night LOL I just hope I didn't bother anyone else with using the wrong ping))

Drew chuckled a bit, getting a mental picture of some poor unfortunate soul running from a crazed capybara and throwing grass as they ran. "Hey, Magnus, maybe you could draw a picture of that too," he suggested. "or we could import a few capybaras to join the flobberworm uprising."

(haha it amuses me and many have done it--even long time friends xD thankfully the Magnus user is not active :) )

"Totally a new drawing. Such mayhem should be captured by itself--for maximum carnage. Besides, its been ages since I've seen 'ow they look so I'll 'ave to get a book--but yeah I'll totally draw someone running from them and trying to chuck grass at 'em."

() "You hate divination and astronomy?? Those are my favorite!" Niki seemed to get a little overly excited, but she was starting to enjoy the conversation and feel included. "Yes, gettin' a fat head or a big head is the right colloquialism, ." Niki giggled at Magnus' face as she said it. "I love it here. Everything is so interesting and different from back home. Not that Ilvermorny was home... I mean, it was in Massachusetts," She said Massachusetts with such a thick accent that she suddenly stopped talking for a moment but continued, "for Heaven sakes. That couldn't be further from Texas."

Niki looked over at Sauvage, "I've only been here for 'bout a month. I was at Ilver' for about ____((will fill this in after I find more info)) years.

Millie started talking about another school so Niki turned to listen, though she didn't hear much before she zoned out to day dreaming. A boy nearby () made a comment about adding a new creature to the drawing and Niki snapped back from her zoned out state.

((OOC: Sauvage, I think that rule is because they can't/don't want to monitor the threads in another language.. so I think, as long as you are doing it in story form and right after, in the same dialogue are telling us what that french is, you'll be fine... plus, in the groups I dont think they are monitoring anyway, so someone would have to be mean and report you for staff to even notice...

I cant find any information on how many years a kid goes to school at Ilvermorny.. at Hogwarts kids go for 9 years, Right?... I wanted to say that Niki only has like, two years left, but I'm not sure where in grade level you guys are...))

Magnus nodded. "Glad you like 'em, but yes, absolutely unequivocally 'ate them both with the intensity of 1000 suns. I mean 'ow the 'eck do you get a W ta mean a chair in constellations? Its so abstract. And I get enough of the moon three times a month so... I don't really care what is in retrograde... and don't get me started on me inner eye---i think mine's blind. Now potions, 'erbology, care of Magical creatures...them I like."

When you live where there's no lite pollution, there's a billion billion stars to see. I like learning about 'em. Why don't you like the moon?..." She said with a puzzled look on her face. " 'Erbology is too much to remember for me. But Care for Magical Creatures! Oh man!! I could sit in that class forever. I think it's one of the only ones I can ac'ually pay attention to."

"I 'ate the moon because I'm a werewolf," he said as normally as the word flobberworm was flying around from his mouth. "I liked looking at the stars when I didn't 'ave to worry about snacking on me friends or what planets orbit what..." he sighed wistfully.

Niki looked at Magnus for a long moment, not sure what to say. She did seem a little shocked and at a loss for words. She had never met a werewolf before, at least not one that had admitted as much. "Oh, my. Well ain't that sumthin'?" She said, her accent getting thicker. "How'd that happen? You gotta be bitten by another one, rite? Who would do that to a kid?" ()

"Bit or ripped to shreds by claws," Magnus said. He pulled up his shirt so she could see his back littered with scars from what was a brutal mauling. "Bloke was stalking me apparently. Looking for a kid to kill and I guess...eat. 'E'd done it before on purpose but the aurors couldn't prove it. This time, an auror was stalkin' 'im in return. I snuck outta the orphanage and went to me alcove and the werewolf was there. Paul, the auror that saved me, shot some spells grabbed me and took me to St. Mungos. 'E met up with the bloke on the morning of the last moon cycle, earning 'im so permanent facial scars cos the bloke clawed 'im with 'is human fingernails with the moon cycle--but 'e got the guy."

() As Magnus told the story of his mauling, Niki couldn't help feeling angry at the werewolf that had tried to kill a kid. "I can't really comprehend that kind of evil. Killin' is bad enough, but a kid that hasn't even had a chance to really live yet? That just ain't right." She pondered for a moment, "So, what do ya have to do on a full moon now? You go out too far away from everyone else to be a harm? Is there not a potion or somethin' you could take to keep from turnin'? "

"I take wolfsbane for a week including the days of the full moon. If I miss it, I'll turn into the werewolf--Anyway, I still turn into a werewolf but keep 'ead so basically just a tame wolf for three nights. Its extremely painful though and takes all me energy. Ask anyone, I look like death by the third day. Sometimes I can't even leave me bed cos I'm too exhausted. The potion makes me comatose for at least an hour. Not supposed to but considering me age and size they think its cos I'm so young. It was worse when I was bit... out for the entire night. I was almost nine years old. Anyway, so I was adopted at 10 and now Dad and the auror who saved me life werewolf-sit in the dungeon. Mostly since I think like meself we just play games or I sleep. But they are there just encase...something 'appens. Injury, or student wandering buy... that kinda thing."

Drew listened as the two Ravenclaws talked. He'd already heard Magnus' story one time but this time was a bit more intense and when the younger boy showed his scars, Drew's hazel eyes darkened to brown as they did when he was angry. "Whatever they did to him was too lenient," he muttered.

Looking at the girl, he said, "I'm Drew by the way...one of those Slytherins you mentioned earlier that were everywhere." He smiled to let her know he wasn't upset or anything. "So you are from the States too? And went to Ilvermorny? What house were you in?"

Magus shrugged. "'E got the dementor's kiss. And then shortly after was found with wand wounds like the ones on me back--died from 'em."

Drew bit his lip at Magnus' comments. "So...someone got him too," he said quietly. "I'm glad he won't be able to hurt anyone else though."

"Yep. there was a brief inquiry but no one really dug too deep. Guess they thought 'e got what 'e deserved. Though even if 'e'd just gotten the kiss, they'd still 'ave to you know, secure 'im during the full moon." The boy shrugged again, "I'm glad 'e can't 'urt noone no more... but it don't do me any good."

"No, it doesn't," Drew agreed. "And it's not right or fair, but..." he searched for a way to say it so that Magnus wouldn't think he was making light of things. "I can't imagine how horrible it is for you," he said to the other boy, "but you have a family and friends who are there for you no matter what and who will do all in their power to help you through everything. At least that part's good."

"I am lucky... because if it weren't for the Lees visiting their relative bitten by a spider, I'd never been adopted and my 'ome would still be Saint Mungos. So, yeah I agree...though I lost a lot of things in being bit."

Drew couldn't help but shudder at the thought of being bitten by a spider. To someone that both despised and feared spiders, it was on the same level if not worse than being bitten by a werewolf. "Well, I'm really glad they were there. My mum says that everything happens for a reason, it's just up to us to figure out what the reason is. I have a hard time with that sometimes though when really bad things happen."

"Its like Gandalf said, 'So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.' But yeah... it ain't easy when you've got a 'alf mad creature leading you into the land of the enemy--tons of orcs and an evil eye watching you as you go to destroy a ring of power."
