Evenin' KSrs Belated happy Mother's Day to all our KS moms.

Mom had a bad night last night. She was uncomfortably cold - it was only in the 40s here and we turned off the heat ages ago - and she didn't want to wake up either me or my brother to turn the heat on. I just shook my head at her. Heat is on now so hopefully she'll have a better night. She slept some during the day thankfully. Supposed to be sunny tomorrow and in the 60s so I am hoping she will go sit outside in the sun for a bit too. Didn't do much for Mother's Day for her, she was feeling better yesterday before her bad night, but I did get some Chinese takeaway and I made jello (strawberry banana yum). I bought her a nice Life is Good tshirt as her gift. She loves their ts and sleepwear.

Delayed. We have to go. This spring we need to finish fixing the stuff that has to get fixed on her house and then see about putting it up for sale. Cannot not delay much longer.

Morning all, I'm going to have a rough week end. Yesterday hubby was mowing and hit the gas line. Had to get the fire department and then a plumber out to work on it. sadly it won't be finished until Monday IF it doesn't rain. sooooo, back to the 1800's, heating water on the stove. at least our cook stove is electric. the only thing gas was the hot water heater.

So other then that how is everyone doing?

That royally sucks! I hope they get it done by monday.

I'm doing alright. Can't really walk much right now. Lots of pain, but doc said I should be meeting my little guy soon. So there's that.

Oh no! I'm glad you do have the electric stove, though. That's a plus. Hope it gets fixed soon! How is your mother? It doesn't sound like you get to see your mother much. Hope that changes if you wish it to. Why so much pain that you can't walk? Walking around was all I had to lessen being so uncomfortable when each of my kids were born. But I hope it eases up for you and you get to see your little boy soon. As soon as I saw each of mine, I fell in love and thought all I went through was worth it. I was so relieved they were ok.

I remember my mother and I went Christmas shopping in early November when my daughter decided to show up. Mom said walking would help. We were in a long line and the labor started. My mother yelled out that I was in labor and could we please get checked out quickly? It was like the parting of the red sea. I was embarrassed but so grateful to everyone and told them so. I think it was mostly women but there were a lot of men too. Then having started the process my daughter true to her headstrong nature even now, changed her mind and it was another three hard days before she was born. My son was completely different. I waited at home about three hours until it was obvious he was coming and soon and then went to the hospital. I was just so shocked because my daughter took so much longer. Even knowing the second birth is usually faster, I didn't expect this. lol Waited in the ER for about an hour and a half. Kept asking for meds and they said I would get them as soon as I got to the labor room. I went from 6 to 10 dilation on the elevator ride, and everyone knew it. They put me in a room and a cpl minutes later she checked me and suddenly I was rolled down the hall while the nurse is yelling for a dr and I asked for meds again and she said there wasn't time. I was yelling they lied all the way down the hall. lol Maybe ten minutes later, if that, my son was born. Whew.

Not sure why it is so bad, but I'll start walking and it feels like he is grinding against my pelvis/cervix and it's bad enough if I have to walk far I'll have to take a break.

I was only 1 cm dilated on my last check Wednesday, so not that much progress yet, but the most pain I've had in general this pregnancy. I had issues with my sciatic for almost all my pregnancy, but it's been easing up a bunch so it makes me wonder if it will be soon..

He must have been pressing against it and it got better when he moved. It could be nothing, him just changing position. But it will be soon if he is moving into the birthing canal. Last Wed and you were dilated but haven't seen anyone since? OMG I would go and get checked again. My daughter was positioned much higher than my son for most of the pregnancy. It felt like she was karate kicking my ribs. Got so sore I worried she might break one from the inside. My son was positioned lower and my back hurt a lot more with him.

When I had my BPP/NST on Monday they were shocked I hadn't gone already because of how darn low he is sitting. He has been a heavy pressure all this week, but I hadn't been dilated at all on Monday. Wednesday they said my cervix was still high, soft, and dilated a bit. So, my doctor was thinking it would probably be some time this week but as she said, he'll show when he wants to. It's just hard to do much of anything with how it hurts to move lol. But it's practice pain- is what I tell myself.

Yep, he will show up when he's ready! One good thing like you said earlier is that there will be an end to all this soon and you'll have a baby to show for it. :)

ty both for the well wishes and hopes it gets fixed Monday, but with more severe storms coming in and lots of tornados around us, we are trusting in God to see what happens.

That being said, I was reading some of the back posts and I almost felt like I was the one having the baby lol.
I was in labor 47 hours with my first. The other two were a breeze.

Was going to drive to NJ tomorrow but my brother is suddenly not well so we're going to wait until Wednesday to make the 9 hour drive just to make sure he is okay. He should be but he's not the best at taking care of himself.

She's much better. Still coughing occasionally but she's getting energy back and we are ready for our long drive east. Only trouble is now that we are postponing another day we'll be hitting all the tourist traffic for the holiday which I am not looking forward to. Ah well, have to do what we have to do.

I've seen the terrible weather happening down there. Hope you remain safe and that the gas can get fixed as soon as it is safe for them to do so!

Hope your brother gets better and glad your mother is recovering. Best wishes on an easy long drive and yuck on the traffic. :)

no not fixed yet. everything in order just waiting on gas company to turn it back on. probably won't get here til this afternoon. lol
