I forgot about Cranky Carrot :P Last year and the one before we had Cursed Effigy (without being Tormented, thank goodness). I think we've got the Cranky Carrot too, as a RE challenger like Ice King.

According to Wikia the Spider and Scary Chairy were both part of a plot, so I think they might come back as TBT challengers.

I thought so . I added them to my possible Throwback challengers document :P If they come back, I'll have them ready to add to my guide hehe

Cool. I'm kind of hoping they'll come back too, especially Devora. She's listed to be around Chase difficulty so if she makes a comeback in or around October this year we'll all be ready for her.

I think the event challengers rotate between TBT and holidays. Devora was here last year but not the previous year. If there are new challengers for a new plot this year then the old challengers could become TBT challengers.

My T4 with less AP just got 5 wins on the forj rekindled :D That is good news for my T4 with a lot more AP. He should be able to get those wins and more on other opponents.

Do not underestimate the annoying fish beast. His death rolls can be a pain, especially when your strength is low and he spams them when he's down in the red. =P

By the way have we got any decent infinite water-blocking scroll? By decent I mean around 10 icons. Ocean Currents doesn't seem to block that much.

Scrolls: Soothing Current, Cobalt Eternal (used them all), Gelaspell

Currently have him down to 25355 / 35000 (took a pizza break), but he hasn't started using his second wave of weapons yet.

Thanks! And yeah, I'm planning on buying most of them. I'll try to get the harder challengers first though, since those are more worthwhile. If I don't get the easier challengers this year then that's fine, I'll get them later.

Thank you :D Have you got the Paintbrush blades? Perhaps you might want to try pairing it with the Trident, or pair the Malignant Rift Staff with the Trident. Slot any of your empty slots (that doesn't have a Parch) with earth defence baguette. You'll take him down more quickly (and thus avoid the third stage of weapons) by using two attackers.

Have you got a healing scroll? Gelaspell has some nice defence and offence but after he's got his blessing up you can't freeze him so having some heal would be better imo.

The reason I asked was because, and maybe you've known this already, that if you buy all the research notes and unlock all the challengers, when you visit the Challenge an Opponent page you'll get a copy of the Research File Cabinet for free. So if you collect all of those research note series challengers you can sell your free RFC for a profit :D Sorry if this is something you've known all along :D

Damn, got him down to 17225 / 35000, but he crit me and that's about it.

I was doing pretty good with Malignant Rift Staff + Flayed Lord Breastplate + Gelaspell, and whenever I needed healing I switched the Staff for the Trident and the scroll for Soothing Currents.

Whenever I used Trident+Staff I felt he made me more damage than using one attacker with the breastplate. I never saw him move to his second set of weapons, though.

Yeah, he's generating those at a snail's speed XD I think you might be better off with Trident + Malignant. The Trident has a blessing that blocks 175 earth, 175 water, 175 magma, which the island deals. Or you can try this path perhaps: Trident + Breastplate Whenever blessing is up, drop breastplate to use Trident + Rift

Pbbbbth. First time I see her in ages and she gives me something I'll have to leech off later.

In fact, I used the trident+breastplate until te blessing kicked in, then I switch to rift staff+breastplate

I'll definitely try again , because getting through half the HP was further than I expected to in the first place.

I'll try using Trident + Rift whever the blessing's up ^_^

Oh I didn't know that. The Trident is sure a godsent for that opponent, especially when you're still waiting to buy other weapons.

If you need help with strategy, I think can help you out, though if I remember it right he had an infinite healing scroll at the time he beat Crithbolcan in BQs.

The trident is amazing though! I love it This is the first time I've used the breatplate since I won it XD

[edit] Attempt - frozen+crit, but survived with almost no HP, decided to forfeit because I wouldn't last the turn.

I love the Trident too, especially for its blessing. Very powerful indeed :D Oh I forgot to mention that you can use the Rapier of Error every 5 turns to set up a curse for extra damage, of course it's safer to do so under protection of a shield or the Trident's blessing.

I think Feather Explosion is the most affordable among the infinite healing scrolls atm. It's something to consider as an upgrade but if you're willing to wait until you earn Aftershocks then it's fine.
