You might end up passing me eventually if you save your EXP for boosting. I tend to go a bit slow with training, although I'm starting to save up some stat boosters and mage amulets for tomes now that I got the shop till achievement. Before it was more tempting to just sell all of the expensive things I got so I could get the achievement faster. :P
idk if its me, but she freezes me a heck of a lot more too than in BQs parched is my favourite mod for a reason lol
Our sets are pretty similar except instead of trident + anchor I used my syringe and nachos healing stuff. I loooveee the fire its one of my fav weapons! I paid 100m for my syringe, so wasn't cheap at the time haha. Worth every penny! I wish I had a trident, so I just added water dmg cystals on the fire and syringe. I found the curse off the healing stuff is great to build up your blessings and blasting, as it only allows your opponent to use 1 weapon after.
other than that pretty similar stats, I think I used RoE too for curses, don't remember lol
Can't remember for the life of me how those 4 loses against Flamagia outside BQ went, but seeing as I lost, she probably stole my things, or froze me to death :P I need to get my hands on more parched! But I need to save up more crystals haha
Maybe! Or maybe not... who knows? :P Are you not saving EXP for boosting? I get you with trying to sell everything for the achievement, though my situation was the other way around. I stopped selling things and throwing everything into my gallery for the Hoarding achievements (45k unique items). Only sold whatever extras I got that could already be found in my gallery. That took me YEARS. At least 8 years. So glad to be done with it lol
[edit] do you mean the ? Is it worth to spend 4.4m on it? If I do, I'd have to think what would it replace on my set though... but I like the way it sounds lol
Nah, I usually use my EXP right away. I might experiment with saving some, but IDK I'm fine with my current system I guess. I'll probably save stat boosters though until I hoard a decent amount, or until I forget I have them and then find a nice stash later to boost with. :P
Ugh the hoarding achievements. D: I got the one for having like 40k total items in a gallery or whatever (cashing out those 1 point wiz tokens took forever too), but I only made it to a little over 20k for the unique items achievement. I'm kind of glad all that nonsense is done now though, it's nice to be able to sell more things without worrying about silly achievements. Although I am still working on the filled wardrobe ones, almost to 12k I think!
I actually got the fire torch when you recommended it in a thread in Set Advice late last year. Got it for 20m. Still think I was damn lucky because just weeks later when some new challengers came along it soared to 60 mil lol. I like it a lot. It's one of my staples against fire-based opponents now glares at Flamagia
I thought you paid less for the Syringe. I remember reading you mentioned in your post (also from last year lol) that it used to be going for 45 mil? Perhaps that's where I got my (wrong) impression. That price I can afford, but after blowing my money on the Trident I was low on budget and can't pay near 100mil for it anymore. Luckily the extra health does make up for the lack in the Anchor. I guess I'll have to wait until I'm strong enough to win it from the Mutant Scientist. Must say the Research notes series and older challengers have awesome affordable weapons. I haven't seen one that good this year. Hopefully they'll have something interesting to offer in the later half of the year.
Does it make any difference, though? Using EXP as you get it, or saving it up until you decide to mass-boost with it?
UGH Yes. The hoarding achievement! The Super Shop one, the one with cashing out wiz tokens) was EASY because I had a lot of extra copies of junk laying around (though never thought of cashing out tokens for that until much later :P)
I have both. The 45k unique items was horrible lol, I thought about quitting so many times too, but I already gotten past 20-25k items, so I couldn't just throw all that effort and years away. I managed to get to 45k before it retired, THANKFULLY. (I did get loaned about 200 items or so at the end lol)
-looks at Cursed Liquid Fire Torch's price- 65m sob While it's not that expensive... it's expensive lol
It scales from t9-t11, heals 35% at t9 then 5% less on each upper tier. It's basically a bomb, and it deals 31-47 icons at t9, 34-55 at t10 and 40-70 at t11 The curses activation rate is also contricted by tier, t9 50% t10 75% and t11 100% - but its such a nice curse 'cause it limits your opponent to one weapon in the round after. I love this weapon and have used it since t9, and its in my default set.
Ahhh I see, thats awesome! Thats when I got mine too, but I got it at 50% off in someones thread sale so it only cost me like 10m, and I still think 60m for it is really reasonable. It's great for fire block, and the blessing you get at 40% health makes it even better. Giving you the 40 water defense is just amazing. I paid 89m for my synringe in the shop search around a year ago now, I never really saw it go below 75 myself when I was thinking of buying, but when I was reconmended it I believe it was 50 or so in SS. How much did you pay for trident? I used my fire torch for water block xD [edit] If either of you wanna borrow my weapons any time its fine! You wanna try out the healing stuff or syringe anytime just let me know! I don't use my syringe as nearly as I used anymore!
It probably doesn't make a whole lot of difference, you likely get to the same point at the same time whether you use them right away or save them. It just might feel more satisfying to save them and then see a bigger jump all at once instead of gradually over time. I just like spending mine right away, but personal preference ~
I know a lot of people were upset with the shop changes at first, and especially because of the achievements. But I kind of like it now, one less headache for me. :P
I forget what triple threat does -- and I'm too lazy to look it up. Wish the hovers still worked... Could you be a dear and hook me up while I get the ferret out of my coffee?
EDIT:
Never mind -- the site finally decided to finish loading posts... lol
Great for you for getting it at half price. Even at 20 mil it was still a great buy for me, such a nice update from the Prodigy Staff. The block is more reliable and it comes with a 70-icon curse too, which is awesome in itself.
I paid 230 mil for my Trident. I have had some awesome luck buying a couple high-end weapons this year. If the streak doesn't break I'm saving up hoping to buy another later this year.
True that, either saving or spending EXP right away doesn't make any difference if you plan to hoard for a short time then spurge. However if you hold onto your EXP for too long you might miss out on challengers thus potential EXP is going to be wasted :P. I think it was only a month between my first win against Malerias cat and Chase, so if I had held on to my EXP for two months at a time I wouldn't have completed level 30 BQs more consistently or earned more EXP that way, so it's something to consider unless you enjoy taking time making progress :D
Btw if you ever make your way to level 30 and faces the Unstable Snow Fairy, you'll stand a chance against her I'm pretty sure.
Sure here you go Triple Threat 10-15 :block🔥 10-15 :block🧊 10-15 :block:wind: Heals 7%
Not as great as Ocean Currents, but since I won it for free from Tatu I think I'd better make some use out of it. Luckily it provides partial padding against the Forj's ice fire and wind damage and some heal for when the Anchor wants to screw me up with its erratic heal XD
[edit] I derped too much today lol.
That's a good point about being able to defeat new challengers earlier on than if you saved for too long.
I haven't really been trying against the impossible challengers yet, the couple of Flamagia BQ wins today were my first attempt at any of them. Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm able to beat a few more!
Woah 230m? Was that this year? I remember offering 350 on one last year and rejected D: I'm saving up for OHS atm, the 450 price tag makes me a little mad as I can compare it to swash for a much cheaper price lol. I might bypass it though and get a natasha instead as I think its probably better value + come in handy when I'm ready to get my cronus blade
even if its heal drops from 35% to 25% that's a lot of heal still, especially if the curses activation rate is 100% by tier 11 (where I'm at) I think it's definitely worth investing in, plus it's only 4.4m :o I see my OHS fund going back to 0 again in the nearby future LOL (I spent what I already had saved on my Prodigy Staff :P) Also, thank you! Might take up on your offer one of these days :)
yeah that's what I thought. It's probably just a matter of perception, and it's definitely a personal preference, since by doing it daily you're most likely to be able to beat a challenger you need instead of waiting a whole 'x' amount of time to do it.
Regarding shop changes... I wasn't really upset, but found it funny when the mob came with picket forks and torches because the limit was too low, and the restrictions were ridiculous, etc., etc., all the while staff pointing out it was in test mode and the limit would go up :P I had already gotten the hoarding achievement, so I welcomed the change :P Only thing I don't like is that I can't filter items in a gallery the way you can do in a shop (it has fewer options), but it's not a huge deal anyway :P
You got a point there. My plan is to EXP boost the day Throwback challengers are announced, but if I haven't been able to cap on them, I'll spend the EXP before they retire to give them another try.
I might also boost whenever a regular/MC/Cash Shop challenger is released too - this is something I hadn't even considered, but only if I can't beat it or beat it enough to get the loot or reach the cap haha
Hopefully I'll be able to get Chase/Malerias Familiar/Crawbeast next month, but we'll see... it would be lovely birthday present from Tziety :P
All I know is that I need to be strong enough (with good enough weapons too) to take Unstable Snow Fairy by the end of the year when she returns during Luminaire. This must be the year! ;P
Yeah it was either early this year or December last year I think. I made an offer of 2,300 CSC when CSC was going for 10 mil per. Even taking inflation into consideration I still consider it a great price if I bought it now.
Good luck saving for your next big purchase. It won't probably take you long to get there but if I may suggest something I think you can wait until the next event/ boss challenger comes out. Who knows they might release an earth blocking godly!
I know, the first Impossible challenger is always a big milestone. The EXP payout at level 26+ is really good so if you run into Flamagia often you'll earn more stats and when you decide to spurge it will help reduce the wait time for beating the next imp challenger :D
Don't worry I was worried about the same thing as you reg. Snow Fairy. My friend encouraged me last year, saying I'd cream her this year :D (that was when I was still a T10). Well seeing I got 10 wins against her last Christmas I can see that you're going to cream her this year too :D If you want to train evenly I think you'll get 3000 speed and by then the Sierrac Basal Ice Flail would prove helpful against her :D
I think got his wins against Malerias Familiar when his stats were around 2,500. I stalked his pet so I remember XD. Granted, he had quite high health at the time but I see you're investing in health and strength too so you can give her a go when you're there or perhaps a little bit higher in stats.
The exact details aren't known really but I'm pretty sure its something to do with opponents defense vs your damage before crit.
Well it was said as such, it must be the hard number difference rather than the % difference I suppose? https://subeta.net/forums.php/gotopost/57641786
FWIW... You will use Natty way more than OHS -- so you actually might wanna buy the pea shooter first. Yes, it's a heftier price tag, but it is great against stealing foes as well as blocking fire.
Wow! I didn't realize the Fairy was beatable on T10. I probably could've beaten her last year, however, I think I might need a weapon upgrade, so I'll do that during the year. I'm glad encouraged you last year! You must've felt SO PROUD. I love that feeling, of seeing how the effort pays off.
I'm only about 700-800 stats away from 3k speed, so I think it's pretty much doable :D BTW, was it you or who pointed out you boosted two stats, and train the other two? Mind's a bit foggy right now lol
Crawbeast is the worst until you start battling prodigy, then he is the worst. There is always someone who becomes the worst x.x; PW are really great for her because they do 10 water damage and block fire :D
Huge congrats on your wins! She takes a lot of patients (and water potions) at T11. I got a few but then waited until T12 to get the remaining when I had more strength at that point. Her magma armors are brutal when your strength is low x.x
There is always someone to fight that's for sure....like dick bear the mage....I just have the worst luck with him.
New weapons are always fun!
That was me but it could be the both of us. I boost strength and health and slowly train defense and speed.
