Wow - got back home after a day out and found 3 pages about Vesnali in this thread (and a ton of flowers on my doorstep - thank you)! You guys are all really excited - so nice to see. :-)

Hope you don't mind me talking about battling but I am getting totally wiped out by the Raging Storm Sylph (today's Level 25 BQ - first time to that level) and am wondering whether it's a lost cause. I barely make a dent in that 11,000 hp before I die. Basic problem seems to be that I really don't have any serious defense - unfortunately Blessed Trident isn't a big wind blocker until T10 and Tos is only T9 :-( And I don't have any other useful big blockers. (light and magma aren't helpful here.) Might need to do more training to get past Level 25.

Any suggestions? I know this is really a T10 challenger and Tos is not a high health build, so it might be time to get out of the Battle Coliseum and go collect flowers. :-)

He is recommended for T10, but you can beat him with the right equipment at tier 9. It may just take a lot of losses and getting the right blast. I used blessed trident and the charged tower shield for my T8 to block wind, physical and dark but the sylph also does a lot of ice damage. The best thing to blast is is supercell surprise that boosts his attack and defense by 100 with each use. The wind up punch is also nasty and another good thing to blast if you can't block all the wind. For scrolls, I would arm yourself with typhoon of valor to block all the wind. Aftershocks or feather explosion is a good infinite use scroll for him. You will also want a healing scroll like gotf for emergency situations. negating pylonics, regenerating pylonics, wind shards, ice shards, darkness shards and death shards are all good for him.

I'm not sure if there is really a good option for him at T9 other than the charged tower shield. The malice cannon might work. Cobalt eternal scrolls will also block ice, dark and physical just not wind so depending on what you blast the cobalt might be better than the typhoon of valor.

- thanks for the information. I don't have a Charged Tower Shield and there don't seem to be any for sale, so something to try and borrow. Meantime, I can try my Maliss Cannon but it doesn't do any healing. I have one Cobalt Eternal and could make (I think) a Typhoon of Valor - but they're both OPB and if I borrow a GoTF I only have the AP for a single cobalt or typhoon. Sounds like I should see if I can borrow a Charged Tower Shield and try and make do with my Aftershocks and Cobalt Eternal, unless I can find a lender for GoTF. I don't mind losing a lot of battles if there is any reasonable chance to win one. Guess I will equip my Maliss Canon and see if that helps any. Unfortunately no freezing or blessings, so no help from my Deluxe Death Shard or Shinwas Sword blessing. Oh well, the worst thing that can happen is I'll lose a lot and run out of time. Heads back to try some more ...

Oh yeah I forgot about no healing so that won't be a good option either =/ You could try the Ice King Clawed Gloves or Trusty Blades if your strength is below 1600. Sierrac flail might be an option.

I would definitely bump your AP up so you could equip an infinite use scroll, gotf and at least 3 typhoon of valor or cobalt scrolls.

- well, I have the Ice King Clawed Gloves, so I could try those. I don't think I'm going to be able to find and read that many books and then still have time to battle in the next couple of hours (this is just a Battle Quest - they reset at midnight Subeta time). I'm thinking it doesn't make sense to borrow weapons and have to buy/replace mods for a single day's BQ. I will go back and see if I last more than one or two hits with what I have on hand for a bit though. Excited just to get this far and I'm sure I'll be back again if I can't get it done today. I'll try it for a while and then go out and enjoy all the flowers. Thank you, as always, for great battle strategy tips. :-)

Nope - you and your amazing Oranos may have beaten him once, but no matter what combinations I try, Tos and her poorly equipped arsenal are mostly only lasting one or two turns. Lack of blocks and my lower maximum health means I'm also not healing enough. I will be back to defeat this sylph ... just not today. :-)

No I wouldn't borrow weapons for daily BQs unless the person you are borrowing from doesn't use that weapon anymore so you can borrow it for an extended period of time. You won't be able to face him this go around with a lot of intel but the intel boost in general will help make battling easier. The more scrolls you can equip the better off you are.

- yes, that's why I have started reading to my pets again. Gulp gained an alchemy point today. Only 48 more books until she can use Aftershocks. :-) And, yes, I am reading to Tos as well.
