- by devalued you mean affordable, right? :-) Seriously, though, congratulations on your purchase.
- you're welcome!
Well imo 750 for a 100 icon fire blocker with 10% heal is already affordable, no reason it should be more near the cost of OHS
thank you :)
- OHS? Anyway, I was (mostly) just kidding, at least about the Natashas.
Battling is one of the extremely expensive things to do on Subeta. As I've said before. I wouldn't mind if it was just the cost of one or two of those things (even two Natasha's) but you seem to need so many different weapons - blockers, healers, stealers, freezers and then special ones for certain challengers, and then scrolls as well,. And that doesn't even consider the cost of the books/stat boosters you need to buy to get the AP to use the scrolls. I am the last person to want to devalue the hard work and time and effort that you and others put in to manage all that, but it does look very intimidating from where I sit (and I am far from poor). It is one of the reasons (the main other one being the long hours of clicking during event boss battling) why I don't battle more seriously and/or regularly.
Yeah I figured you were :p
You really don't need too many different weapons for all but a couple challengers. It's just nice to have variety so certain ones are much easier with fewer stats. And the cost of everything is what makes battling kinda rewarding to me. If it were free and everything was handed to you, there would be no pride of growing stronger really. It provides more long term goals than most other areas on the site
It really just takes time and effort. Take it day by day and don't think about t11 weapons until you're a lot closer to t11. The fun of battling is trying against opponents, losing, training, and trying again. Things aren't as fun when you're at the top and can beat everything with no effort
Congrats on your wins! That is a big improvement! Yeah that dirty bird was a major pain in the butt for my T8 pet. I stuck with it just for the experience, but I went through a lot of shinwas blessed waters lol.
LOL what are you doing buying two natashas then? Planning on some back alley deals? ;p
I filed again this year with turbo tax. They were offering to file state for free as long as you filed before march 16th. I think H&R block was also offering 75 bucks if you filed with them, which is around the same price they charge to file for state so you kind of got state free that way too =P
I think all my luck ran out on my BHH snag LOL. Also to add to what said - you don't have to start worrying about T11 weapons yet, but I would definitely start saving up all the sP you can so it is a lot easier to buy the things you need when you are ready.
I'll probably see if any friends need them and if not, stick them in trades and charge more for them than I'd charge a friend haha

I'm sure there's probably quite a few battlers lurking in here that are close to T11 if not T11 that are probably looking for natasha
Oh my goodness, Natasha from the free shop? :(

- Oh OHS! You really did get a good deal on those Natashas. Couldn't have gone to a better person, congratulations. And I know they will also wind up in good homes, so a win all around.
Yes, I can see that actually being at the top might not be as much fun as getting there. That's true for some things in real life as well.
Everyone is different and certainly entitled to their own perception, but for me, extreme cost is not something that makes things worthwhile. Certainly the time and effort are part of what makes it feel good to improve. And long term goals are good, they are that much more rewarding when you finally arrive. But I tend to be a saver, not a big spender, so the thought of buying a billion sP of battle stuff (or more?) is a bit scary. Anyway, I'm not going to worry about it. And I am certainly impressed by your accomplishments and those of many of the other battlers I see here. (as well as their generosity and encouragement to newer battlers including myself.) I will take the advice of both yourself and and just keep saving and not think about it too much for now. As you say, I have a loooong way to go still to T11. :-) Meanwhile I am going to enjoy the process and continue to be proud of my accomplishments as they come.
I am also enjoying the friends I'm finding along the way. That, to me, is the best part.
Anyway, for now, back to real life, finance and taxes!
You know what is scary? As powerful as my armory is, back when you could see a break down of your account worth, 50% was made up of my wardrobe and only 20% was in my armory x.x

well it was a good deal when it lasted. I got refunded and had to delete them ;_;
t11 does have cheaper options too. it really just depends if you want to own the best things or if you want to make do with cheaper options. once you're strong enough though, you can earn your own really good weapons like cronus and MW which don't cost a dime. it's not all about having billion sP weapons, but if you want the best things available, then that's what it takes.
- I can see where that would be scary as well. In my case, as you have perhaps noticed, there is almost nothing in my wardrobe, so it's not a problem. :-)
- aw, that's a shame. On the plus side, if all the weapons that were accidentally sold from the Free Shop are being deleted that will keep them from devaluing at least.
Hmmm, yes being able to earn good weapons is an exciting thought. I am really looking forward to that! I am a bit confused though, is best just best for event boss battles because they generally do more damage per turn? Or best in what way? In any case, it's good to know there are some affordable T11 weapons too.
Battle Quests done for today.
Yeah I'm very happy that it's being handled that way actually. rip profits but I'm not upset. I felt kinda sketchy trying to resell here haha.
actually a good boss battle set is not generally a good set for normal battles. I wouldn't use natasha against a boss, but for a regular challenger that uses a lot of fire, a natasha is your best choice (other than the other 100 fire icon blockers which are almost impossible to come by) defense is really important, most weapons do similar amounts of offensive icons but what really makes them differ is their heal and defense.
- yes, healing and defense do make a big difference, I am seeing that already. But doesn't it also matter which icons the challenger blocks versus what icons your weapon attacks with? And what do you use against a boss if it's different?
That's must be it. One of the reasons I stick with battling XD.
My luck seems to have pick up yesterday, only to drop today in the free shop XD. Managed to get a couple of items from Blackheart there. Nothing overly expensive but it's always nice to see that I can get something other than shop items from there :D
Aw I'm sorry for the loss of potential profit :( There seemed to be a couple of the Oracle Staff of Enlightenment picked up from the Free Shop too and staff decided to get them back and compensate the buyers; I just thought they let the earlier ones 'escape', sort of, but it seems they have decided to withdraw all of the godlies mixed in the free shop item pools too.
If you heal and block enough, you'll be able to survive against a regular opponent. Unless a severe amount of icons get blocked, your damage shouldn't be too different weapon to weapon. Against bosses though you do want as many icons to go through defense as possible. I use two attackers that do the most icons along with an offensive freezer and it's the one time I use a bomb. I don't look at defense because you're gunna die no matter what
Yeah I saw that. I'm glad it got handled honestly, I'd prefer things like that get cleaned up than let slide and weapons get really devalued
(laughing} Good point! Of course, until recently that's how I felt in the Battle Coliseum will all the challengers. :-)
- yes, the ratio of good finds is not high, but they are there. Glad you found a few. I just try to keep remembering that if everything in there was amazing the economy would fall to pieces.
