Aw, how cute! But that's super lame about the pet food! Sometimes those things get really ridiculous... Lots of really mislabelled stuff... And sometimes the pet stores themselves don't know what they're talking about. I went to one pet store, and I saw they had hedgehog food, which I thought was crazy, so I asked if it's legal to have hedgehogs as pets here, and the lady said no, of course not, that was just for feeding wild hedgehogs. And then I discovered that our local humane society HAS hedgehogs, and YES, they can be kept as pets. :O I SOOOOOO want one!!!
And that's funny about yoghurt... I've never had a pet that liked yoghurt. But sometimes they like crazy things! My mum's new cat has a serious thing about peanut butter of any kind. She had a package of peanut butter cups set aside to mail to us, and the kitty ripped the bags open and ate all of the peanut butter out of three or four of them. :O
Also, about the wild pets... A proper red foxx shouldn't be kept as a pet. That would be terrible. But actually, albino red foxes are completely legal to keep as pets, and I would love to have one of those. They can't survive well in the wild. Because of their color, they're too visible, so they don't stand much chance as hunters, plus they can fall victim to bigger predators really easily. So actually, their best chance at survival is to be a pet or get a spot in a zoo. So technically, if you have one of those as a pet, you're saving its life. And apparently they make really good pets. They're very affectionate, but also very smart. Like the perfect cross between having a dog and having a cat!
And as for keeping rodents uncaged... My husband totally had pet mice or hamsters or something like that that lived in a drawer in his dresser... They had their bedding in there, and slept there, and got there food there, but they were also free to leave the drawer and go wherever they wanted. Crazy business! That was ages ago, though. But I guess they mainly stuck to his room, and he was careful, so they never got smooshed or anything. But then, you certainly couldn't have cats, or dogs, or anything like that!
While dog food isn't specifically dangerous to cats, it's not healthy, either. It would be kind of like feeding them empty calories, like people eating too many potato chips, and having too much soda, instead of eating their fruits and veggies... There are really important vitamins and minerals and things in cat food that would be missing in the dog food, since cats need those things, but they're dangerous for dogs. Taurine, for example. A little bit wouldn't hurt them, but you wouldn't want too much of their diet to be dog food...
Exciting... Do you have your exam results back yet, or do you still have to wait awhile?
Oo, happy birthday! Do you have any exciting birthday plans?

Aw, what a lovely pet!!! :D
Welcome to the group, !!! :D hugs
Hey guys! So this user named came back from hiatus AND today is his birthday as well. He seems to like stickers so could everyone send him stickers please? Sending potions also might work since returning users tend to shift around their pets. :)

Thanks! I didn't know what ingredient it was that was bad for dogs, I always figured it was ash they add to the cat food. My dog gets sick when she eats their food. Most of the ones I feed are street cats and don't stay around long. Sadly, my favourite ran away 2 years ago before I could get him neutered. The males that have been neutered mostly stick around, the females eventually take off and only stop by to visit once in a while. I figure they are more likely to get adopted if they are "fixed" and I usually don't mind. I miss Rumble though. He was by far the most unusual cat I had ever met and I still have a soft spot for him.
Well, then, I hope you find an amazing outfit at a great price. :P
Yeah, the extras, especially if a dog consumes cat food a lot, can shut down its kidneys, so its very dangerous long term for a dog to eat cat food. And a cat on dog food will get malnourished. Just a little bit shouldn't do much harm for either, but yeah, it's not good.
That's so sad about your kitty, though. :( Yeah, un-fixed kitties can be a bit wild. We had a farm, and the toms would come through for a year or two, and then take off for another farm. They never stayed long, and neither did the ones born there. Only the ladies stuck around. :(
