The London attack is sad, indeed.
By the way, any one here know how these Subeta artists draw their art and submit it on here? Also, is there more of a demand for artwork alone or for custom clothing art?

I'm sorry to hear that D: I hope things get better soon.
Welcome, !!! :D
Hello ! There are various user-artists here on Subeta, and they do different kinds of art, like Custom Wearables, Pet Overlays, User Profiles, Pet profiles, Cutom CSS, among others. When you want to create a CW you can draw it yourself, draw it yourself with another artist/s, or commission an artist to draw it for you C:
I understand that. What I don't know is what kind of software these artists use to create their art or if plain art commissions are more popular than CW commissions.
[tot=PiplupMagby34]
I don't know if art commissions are more popular than CW commissions. Art commissions can be done either traditionally (with pencil, for example) or digitally.
To create CWs we use digital art software, like Paint Tool SAI, Photoshop, among others o:
If someone draws art traditionally, how exactly do they upload it to Subeta? Through imgur or photobucket?
[tot=PiplupMagby34]
You can scan the drawing or take a picture of it o: And yes, Imgur and Photobucket work C:
- Welcome! :D
- That's plain awful. Why do people think attacking others is going to do anything positive?
I've seen the aftermath of the Pulse shooting last year... people who lost their friends. A community scared to even step foot outside in fear that someone will hurt them based on who they are. I don't care who you are... no one deserves to live with that sort of fear. No one deserves to lose a loved one over a disagreeing viewpoint. It's sickening how frequent attacks are.
...On a lighter note, I know the big university around my area has sororities. Looking at the site of the current community college I go to, it says something about "greek life", so maybe there is one? If there is, I wouldn't be surprised if they have ridiculous initiation tests. XD
Welcome to the group! I hope you have fun here :D
I've been wondering this myself! I was thinking of trying to install some software on my iPad and giving it a shot. I usually draw by hand and could upload but I'm assuming there's not a way to convert hand drawings to CWs, correct? I've only glanced through the forms. I'd really love to start creating my own!
Anyone here who's experienced in creating CWs want to share your tips? What software you use etc.? ❤️

Hello! :D Custom Wearables are drawn digitally, but you can print the HA base, draw over it and then (with the scanned drawing or picture) use it as a base to draw the CW digitally C: (I hope that makes sense!)
I personally use Paint Tool SAI :D Others use Photoshop, and there are also some good free digital software like FireAlpaca, Gimp, Krita, among others :D Let me know if you have any questions!
I have a talent for drawing and have wondered more than once about creating CWs or custom overlays myself. I'll likely do overlays since I rarely have enough CSC to submit the types of items I would like to draw.

No, not another attack! It seems like I hear about these all the time. It's so sad and unnecessary. And is right, it's always the innocent who are hurt in these attacks. What's the point of that :( Hurting innocent civilians, spreading fear and pain. My heart goes out to everyone in London (and elsewhere) impacted by the attack.
I live in upstate New York. I don't go to school here though; I went to school in Pennsylvania, but decided to leave before finishing my degree there. There was greek life on that campus, like fraternities and sororities, but I was never involved so I don't know what they did. I did know a couple people who were in those groups, though, but they all have different experiences, some positive, some negative. I guess that's how it goes with most things.
All CWs have to be drawn digitally - but the process can start on paper. At some point, however, you have to transfer your traditional drawing to the computer (like by scanning it, for instance), and then you can trace over it to make the digital version. For CWs, Subeta has a page where you can submit them for approval to become official items on the site.
For plain art commissions, though, you cannot host them on Subeta. You have to host them somewhere else, like imgur (which I highly recommend over photobucket - you can make an imgur account if you want to keep track/ownership over your uploads).
I would think CW art is more in demand, and that you could charge more for it, just looking at the bustling CW community c: However, doing non-CW art commissions are easier in that you have more freedom. So like, for CW art, you can get rejected by Subeta and have to fix the image according to the feedback, to get it approved as an official CW. But you don't have such responsibilities when just doing custom art commissions.
Disclaimer: I haven't drawn CWs before! So I don't know any more about that. I do other kinds of art though, including sketching things on paper and then digitizing on Photoshop. I only use the mouse, by the way, which is partially why I haven't tried making CWs - those seem like they would be much easier to do with a tablet and stylus.

Requirements for FireAlpaca, Gimp, and Krita please?
[tot=PiplupMagby34]
I mean what operating systems they are compatible with and the required amount of space for them. XD

Thank you for the welcomes!! I've never been part of a forum group so I have absolutely no idea what I am doing lol

I've got Krita on my Macbook here but haven't looked into anything for iPad just yet, hoping to get some time in on it this weekend!! I'm definitely more interested in making some CWs but wouldn't mind starting up an art shop as well ^^ I'd like to contribute some PinkBuns graphics!! ❤️
sign me up for an overlay!! :) You'll have to ping me (or the group!) when you open up shop! I was thinking that about cost as well but if you open up an art shop you could use the CSC to fund CW submissions!! Just a thought!
Thanks for the info!! I'd love to see some of your drawings! Do you have a link?? Side note (I haven't spoken to you in a while!!) How is everything going with work? Last time we talked about it you had a meeting coming up that had you a bit worried! I'm sorry if I missed an update >.< I'm not combing through the Burrow as much as I should be!
Another welcome! This was my first group as well and I'm SO glad I joined! It adds a lot more to Subeta being in groups and you picked a good one ;) You should check out the daily HA challenge if you like playing around in the Wardrobe! The lovely members here are great friends and always helpful when it comes to help around the site and even personal matters :) ❤️

You can find information about each software's requirements and stuff by googling the software and checking on their website. Most of us don't have that info memorized. It's easy to look up :)
Welcome to the group! Things here are pretty simple. Enjoy our friendly, casual chats, and have fun in HA contests/events as they happen. Usually the group's events and stuff coincide with Subeta's official holidays, so I expect something fun will be starting soon when Masquerade happens! There's also a daily HA challenge you can try over in the Blinky Time forum. Don't be shy; we're all really friendly here and we're all happy to have you ❤️
Thank you for asking! And don't worry, the burrow moves so fast, I'm sure I've missed a lot of posts here too. My work has been good- My boss has been incredibly understanding, and we actually had a meeting last week where we discussed my issues with consistency. But it wasn't to scold me; instead, he just wanted to come up with solutions, like figure out where I was struggling and how he can help me be more capable of working. I've been really pushing myself this whole week to put in more hours, and communicate with him. It's not perfect yet but it's progress.
You can see my artwork on deviantart, my username is Mareiko. http://mareiko.deviantart.com I do very simple, cute digital drawings - Nothing super impressive, as you can see, but I'm happy if my drawings can make somebody smile.

So good to hear! Sounds like you have a really awesome boss and if you're trying your best to put forth more effort I'm sure it wont go unnoticed! I'm glad everything panned out well!
Ahhhh I love your Storm Harvester!! Super cute!! Your pokemanz are super cute as well ^^ ❤️

Thank you! I am very curious to see how a forum group works, I love working on my avatar so I definitely plan on checking out the contest! I'm excited to start getting to know people, tad intimidated just because I haven't been super social haha
Thank you :) I am a little bit intimidated- I hate not knowing what I am doing lol, but I'm sure I'll get over that quickly. And for when there are other things running, how do we become aware of it?
