don't worry about it! I totally believe you, and your feelings are 100% valid regardless of if I'd agree or not. You sound like it stressed you out a lot and that's ok. I can understand that, especially being confused and then having a less-than-optimal response to your question. I think your feedback is good feedback as well for the event organizers, and will help them in future events :)

Hmm... Well, I don't really use those, but that's nice, I guess... :O I might have to consider making better use of Stachelig's treasure...

I'm not actually a big battler, but I keep training, and when an event comes across, I fight as many of the challengers as I can, to at least get the 10 item drops. This time, though, they're super hard compared to my guys, so I haven't made much progress... But luckily, there are people much stronger than me, who are close to defeating the much bigger enemies, and getting THOSE item drops, so they buy my tomes, and I make money. :O And sometimes, when I've done all of my other quests, I do the battle ones for the free experience and items.

But yeah, I restock anything I can make a decent profit off of, do my quests (and find items there), sell tomes, sell SubQ items, and collect anything I think might become more valuable later...

I commented that a few things were quite difficult (like quiz questions and tents), and had leaders jump on me. And on the writing contest, I wrote one entry, but was confused about the deadline and accidentally submitted too late (I thought I'd caught one I could enter, but it was closing at 2:00 am, not 2:00 pm or something like that), and when I explained why I'd been late, that started a weird, long back and forth that left me really feeling like a child getting told off. And then I commented that a lot of the contests were at weird times, and that I couldn't enter because of that, and then the commenter got uglier. I said something similar about the find the CW event... The one that started every day at like 4:00 pm and lasted a half an hour to an hour? That started after I go to bed, and having it always at the same time made it impossible for me to participate. That event leader also spoke in a way that left me feeling kind of attacked... But Ursa was nice... And I liked that mini game with the silhouette, too. And that person gave everyone more time, and they were nicer... Don't remember who that was, though...

I know most of the people are in the States, but I wasn't the only person from Europe by any stretch of the imagination, and people in Europe were seriously handicapped by the times, plus it was way more complicated to try to calculate what time everything would happen...

Oh, and on the hunt, I had the same timeline problem. Calculating times is super complicated, and when people aren't precise... I thought we could start on the first couple of clues, but that we just couldn't count on all of the tents being set up, and also, I wasn't sure exactly when "tomorrow" was. So I looked at the first tent or two, then waited until after 12 am so it would be "tomorrow", but yeah, apparently that was early, too. So even though I don't think anyone knew I was working on the tent, when they downgraded the event, that made me feel a little scolded, too...

Edit: Well, and I do have to note that I don't take confrontation well. Like I am afraid of nothing else in the world like I'm afraid of confrontation. My mother-in-law is an emotional person, and the level of emotion she brought to a few situations had me turning off the lights in our attic appartment and cramming myself into a corner so if she did come up, maybe she wouldn't find me to directly confront me with all of that emotion... I just can't deal with fights and emotion like that. Maybe it goes back to my mom and dad fighting when I was a kid, and my mom using so much emotional blackmail and such, but the event kind of took me back to that kind of a place, which made it super stressful for me...

I'm 100% the same way, I can't handle confrontation at all! It makes me sick and anxious like nobody's business and afterward I just can't take that emotional charge away from whatever situation it arose from and it taints everything after that. I've literally been up all night worrying about this.

I have literally been up all night thinking/worrying about this. I feel really bad about having said negative things about this event. I realize that a lot of people put a lot of work and resources into this event in an effort to make people happy and help spread good will and then I come along and say negative stuff about it while contributing nothing and with nothing specific to point to. I'm sorry! I don't want to rain on anyone's parade or make anyone feel bad who obviously went out of their way to try and do something positive. I'm sorry! I've been going through a fairly stressful time in RL and that's put me on edge in general, I realize that's no excuse for spreading negativity, but I do think I wound up pointing some of that edginess in the events direction and I feel super crappy about having done that. I really hope that you don't feel like I've attacked you, your friends or the event in a malicious way; that wasn't my intent. I'm sorry! I hope at the very least some of what I said was helpful feedback..?...

I don't think anything you said was in any way attacking, or even rude. You're allowed to have the feelings and opinions that you do! Even if you were saying negative things, I think the way you said them was very respectful and you made it clear that it was just your feelings and you weren't trying to attack anyone. I can tell you've been anxious about this, so I want to reassure you that you're perfectly fine! And maybe the event organizers aren't super happy to hear what you said - but that's cuz nobody likes to hear negative feedback, no matter how nicely it's said. I think they still appreciate hearing your perspective, though, because it will help them for planning future events c:

Hugs. I really understand and empathize with what you're going through. Hating confrontation, and stressing about it - all that worry and guilt - I relate so much. And you aren't bad or wrong for being that way or feeling that way. A lot of people do and it's more "normal" than anyone really talks about.

I'm glad I could make you feel a bit better with my last post. It's sad to me that validation has been so rare for you. So I want to say again that I haven't changed my mind about it: Your feelings are valid. And I'll always believe that, even when I can't relate. ❤️

Haha, yeah, at that stage I mostly just tried to hide all of it! :O I guess I used the colors to make my HA's face more interesting, but that was about it. :O But you managed to use some interesting items and make it creative, and actually SHOW the Survival art, so that's fun..: :D

That's one of the things I love most about survival... From an art standpoint, the constant changes to everyone's HA's forces everyone to be way more creative about how they make their HA's, and you see such unique takes on each of the stages and forms... It's really fun!

Exactly... And actually, I bet they have lots of items that get bought during this season... I just very seriously toyed with the idea of spending 20-25 M for a background just to have one that I like better with this HA than any of the other ones I've tried... I might buy it still, we'll have to see. :O But I'm slightly happier with my current background than the last five I've tried, so we'll see... :P

What do you guys think? Is that background a lot better, a little better, or not better? (IF you click on show in wardrobe, you can see it with the skin...) I'm kind of tempted, but it would be almost all my cash on hand, and half of a CW. But at the same time, I DO think I'd probably use the background, so I dunno...

I kind of really wish that along with the skin, you could keep some of the stages, because I actually think I like this stage better than the final version! :O

your current ha looks stunning though! i love how you've combined those items! i love those butterfly vase dress things, but they are so hard to use! yours is the first use of it that i've felt really works!

They ARE hard to use... You have to really layer them just right. And I hate it when people use them all alone... but they can be really pretty if you work at it a bit. :)

yeah, they really need other items. i feel like a belt would work somehow, but i cant work out how, and i cant try it at the moment being part moth and all XD

I haven't used them much recently, but I HAVE used them quite a bit. And yeah, sometimes I tuck them under other bodices or belts, and sometimes I put them on top...

Ultimately, I just LOVE layering, so I use all kinds of trees and foregrounds and skirt pieces. :O

I have come to the conclusion that I would never ask any questions on the forums again because it only got me into trouble. People are harsh, narrow minded, and judge you without thinking you are simply lost and don't know what to do. I couldn't finish the scavenger hunt because I was stuck on a tent and I have already spent hours on the previous ones so I gave up and felt really bad because I lost too much time on nothing.

I agree the time limits were too hard and only a few (mostly the same people) could take part of it. And the hide under the tent ones were simply impossible to join to me- I was always too late. In general I didn't liked the event, it was all over, too many things to do in order to get nothing at all. And rules in one place, chat in other place, event in another - it was simply hard to follow and if you can't even ask questions, well that is not enjoyable at all. I saw what happened to you - I read those harsh comments and didn't liked the general feel of the event because of that and some ruin it for me. I know i wouldn't participate again in that sort of event, but I did tried it and try having fun...just didn't. lol
