Thanks for all the advice! My wishlist needs SO much work, every time I get in there I get frustrated, such a mess! But that's a great idea and it really needs doing!

I am 100% new to the world of CWs and havent "slotted" for anything >< I'm not even sure the ins and outs just yet! That's just requested one be made for you, right? Do you have to pay extra for it?

I've also not purchased anything from the Cash Shop directly and had no idea about the bonus weekend! I'll definitely be checking it out! ❤️

Slotting means that you want to buy a CW once it gets approved. For the most part, CWs are limited quantities, so slotting guarantees you'll get one of the items. However, you'll want to be part of ping groups so you can be informed of what's open for slotting.

Requesting an item be made for you is a commission. There's a section in the Custom Wearable section of the forums where you can find an artist.

This thread has better explanations of the basics of CWs than I do.

FYI, that Eevee wearable in your signature is expensive and rare. The last time I saw one for sale, which was a few months ago, it was going for 1000 CSC. Other times I saw it available, people would only trade for specific CWs. I was looking for it before, but I gave up because I'm not willing to spend more than 800CSC on a CW.

--Edit-- For any of you who want to participate in a giveaway event with CW prizes I just thought of this ping group I'm in. boxEVENT What it is, is a group of people who release a CW box each month (generally near the bonus CSC weekend) kind of like the monthly boxes subeta does only with CWs. Each time they do that they run easy little events you can participate in for a chance to win CWs. With the exception of the HA event, they're always random picks from everyone who participates. So you might want to check that out. They just released this months box so there is currently an event running. And don't worry you NEVER have to buy anything to participate. --End of edit--

Thank you for saying all of that. I was really starting to worry that I had been over sensitive or that it was my fault that I had trouble with the event. It seemed like there were rules all over the place; I got to the point were I just couldn't keep track of which ones applied where.

I saw yesterday in my friend feed about the trouble you had with asking questions in the forums. I can't believe it, it's seems so out of line. shakes head You are always so nice and helpful. I was lucky when I first joined I joined to help a friend get a referral point so I just constantly asked her questions. This site can be so hard to figure out even after being here for years; you have to be able to ask questions. If you ever have questions you can always ask me, odds are I won't know the answer but I can ask that friend who referred me she always seems to know lol

I'm guessing some of it just boils down to how sometimes when you get super into something and have been dealing with it for a long time you can forget that stuff that has become 'common' knowledge to you is all alien to a noob.

There were a couple of independent giveaways in the forums at the same time as the 'fest' (but totally unrelated to the 'fest') that were literally just CW giveaways. I think there were two that just said here's a list of CWs I have pick your top 5 (or however many) and I will raffle them off. And another one that encouraged you to highlight friend's HAs that don't use a lot CW and it would enter you and them for free CWs. Those events were fun and anyone of any skill or knowledge level could easily participate in those, no stress - all fun ;) Don't give up on the giveaway forums, some really fun stuff shows up in them (especially around Lumi).

The 20 or less rule sounds like a good idea but it would be impossible to enforce. It would be the honor system because there's no way to check how many CWs someone has. While I would actually trust most of the people I've met on this site to follow that guideline.... you never know lol And someone who would cheat on that would have a serious advantage over all the people who were following the rules.

I bet when you finally get that 12th CW it's gonna be a super awesome one :D Personally I only just started getting into CWs this past Black Friday. I finally hit a sP goal I'd been working on sense I joined and then I felt like I could finally start spending a bit. Of course I had to wait until prices had gone insane and the Pawn Shop shut down lol just my luck ;)

There are some super awesome and generous people in the CW community. A personal example: recently I sent a message to someone who was selling a wig in their shop that I just love and by some fluke I actually had a CW (I was looking to sell) from their wishlist. So I dropped them a message about 'sorry if this is out of line but I'm new to CWs, is it okay to ask you if you'd be interested in trading a CW from your shop for one I have.' I've made trade offers to people before but never on something that was in a CW shop (and not the new CW re-sell shop either like an 'official' CW shop) so I didn't know if that was an okay thing to do. She sent me back a message about how 'yeah that's totally fine. which CW where you interested in?' After I confirmed which color I wanted she just sent it to me. I'm like 'thank you so much! do you want me to send that item from your WL now?' and she said 'no the wig's a gift' !!! I mean wow !!! Like I've never talked to her before, we're total strangers and just because I asked (and I assume because I'm new to it) she sent it to me as a GIFT!!! So even though that event got you down, I really don't think you have to be nervous in general about talking to people in the CW community, overall I've only run into really nice and helpful people there. If you want more examples of kindnesses I've run into in the CW community I'd be happy to share, and mind you I've only been dabbling in it for a couple of months ;)

I'm so glad to hear that you took it that way. I got so worried about it. I hate conflict and I hate upsetting people and then I got caught up in venting and said things I felt bad about after I thought about the impact they might have on other people who were just trying to do something nice for other people.

Just a heads up on the Cash Shop: I don't know how patient you are but... in the tail end of November they have a Black Friday sale here where almost everything is half off, so all the new Delish sets and Cash Shop items you see news updates will be half price if you can wait on them. And generally speaking they bring back some retired items as well and they'll be half off too. CWs in the CW shops are discounted too during Black Friday, but I can't remember if that's 20 or 30% off.

Has anyone tried the new chance machine yet? I put in 150 CSC just to give it a spin. The first item I got was this one: It's such a cute wearable! But when I clicked on it, I discovered that it's also a food item that my gourmand has not eaten. So now I can't decide whether to wardrobe it or feed it to my pet... It's going in my vault until I can make a decision lol.

The next item I got was which I think has beautiful item art. I love the idea of shiny opal berries... They look like eggs in a nest. I was surprised to find that my gourmand actually HAD eaten this one already though XD So I put it in my trades for 75 CSC (the amount I paid for it) in case anyone wants/needs it c:

I'm glad you like it! I know I'm really picky myself when it comes to kimonos (or asian themed stuff in general). When I immediately got that kimono when I saw it in the pawn shop a while ago. actually has the blue version xD

If I have the wardrobe open for awhile, sometimes I find that my checkmarks wind up backwards... If it's checked, the clothing is off, and if it's unchecked, it's on... Very strange. Does your backwards glitch only happen sometimes, or all the time? Because usually if I leave the wardrobe and come back, it's fine... And I feel like I had the backwards clothes once, long long ago (maybe when they set up the old wardrobe, which was new at the time?) It was annoying, but eventually it got fixed... :O
