So.... not a lot of current weapon testing updates, nor any winning items updates. Those two may be connected, but should we also start testing tier 4 weapons?

I'm not sure we're ready for a jump to T4 just yet, especially at this time of year. It is worth considering though. We still don't have any confirmation it's restricted to low tiers, so we'll probably have to give it a shot when we're at a better place in terms of organization and morale.
I think I only own one Tier 4 weapon, but have a bunch of Tier 5's. I can grab you a list of cheap Tier 4's if necessary o3o But I really want don't want to spend anymore on weapons since it takes me like an hour to get through my entire armory now
It does seem like this group has lost steam, to be perfectly honest. Do we know for sure one way or the other that the troll is permanent?
Oh money isn't an issue for me. I have a good amount of weapons from different tiers. I'm just wondering if we should start thinking about it is all. And I hear you about the armory thing-- I recently went through my armory and took out all of the items I am not testing because I have at least 300 weapons, if not more.

A bunch of people have contacted me that they have finals for the next week or so, which is why there's not much activity.
That makes sense. In the meantime, should we try to test the weapons for people who have exams? If not, that's alright, too. I just wanna make sure we're all on the same page :)

I think it would not be cost effective to test those pages. Although we had some people leave (I have to update the list) so some pages might be empty.
- we have had people leave and also cut back on their time. People are naturally not going to want to keep this up forever. As they achieve their own goals and other things come up to take up their time both on and off site people stop wanting to work at this. Many are only staying to help others, so we need to look at that. At some point, all of us left may wind up working but not have anyone we're really working for. I wonder if we should think about polling our group to see if anyone is still looking for personal wins. If we've all gotten as far as we're interested in that would be good to know. We've had almost no activity on the public thread for a few days now, so I don't think any new members have been added. Pings from this group have gone abruptly from overwhelming to almost none. It's a bit early to just stop, but I also don't think we should be expanding. Better, in my opinion, to take this time to get all our threads correct and up to date. Also I don't really see the need to ever expand weapon testing up in tier. My guess is that the Troll has always been intended by Subeta staff to be a community building exercise, more than a battle challenger. If that's true then the winning weapon tier has to stay low or too many users would be excluded. Consensus seems to be that it's a random T1-T3 weapon that changes on any multiple of five drop. Thoughts?
On another matter - just wanted to note that Aloysius is dropping pages 29, 34, and 37 and will be keeping 5, 28 and 38. He will continue to test the list of volunteer weapons I've claimed. That should help cut down his testing time. I've changed that in the new Master Page list.
Of our usual active members, the ones who post often I mean, I think half to 3/4 have informed me that they have finals/end of month job rushs. I haven't gotten to update the list because I have a sort of emergency to tend to right now. Most have said that they will be back in a few days/a week or so. I think the poll is a great idea, but might not be useful until people are back...
Yes no public activity is indicative that this might die out very soon. We won't know until around the time when people said they would be back to see if they truly do pick up testing again.
There also haven't been many/any admin pings so people might not remember to test without at least one ping to prompt them.
I mean eventually this group will completely die I understand. No one wants to battle the troll forever.
A negative can never be proven to be a true negative unless battle admins confirm it. It could be possible that a T4 can win, we have only seen 2? T3s in comparison to a lot of T2s and T1s, so the ratios might be skewed by virtue of how the upper tiers have less weapon options, especially affordable ones too.
Thanks for updating the list! I'll update the list with my info tomorrow, super sleepy right now =w=
- wow that is a high percentage. Any poll or decisions should definitely wait until after more people are back.
Hope everything is alright with you. Please ping me if there is anything I can do to help out. I expect be logging in to Subeta on and off today and over the weekend.
Yes, there's no way to confirm a negative (unless, of course, you've seen the code). But we were stretched just trying to test T1-T3. And we saw that you can get a lot of wins with a big group working together even without having 100 percent coverage, so maybe no need to try to test T4's even if one does work every so often? Again, something we really need to wait until after more of the group is back and we see what sort of activity there is before we can make any informed decision about.
Good night. Go get some rest.
I meant that any weapons of pages that are not or cannot be checked regularly that we already own. Say, if we claim one page, but have weapons from other pages as well. I think a poll is a great idea, but definitely wait until people are back, maybe. Some people might not come back after finals. I'm wondering if anyone has given a definitive date of when they would be back, so we could prepare ahead of time.
It seems like the finals people are taking now are aligned with colleges (at least in America). If so, it shouldn't last past the first week or two of May.

- for what it's worth, I almost always check my whole (admittedly small) armory when I test - including any weapons above tier 3. I think many other people were doing that as well. I'd be happy to list it all, but there's no where useful to put the extra data right now.
Yes, I had been doing that as well. I took everything out of my wardrobe that was a weapon and I had at least 300 different weapons, so it was not really feasible to test every single one so I put almost all of them back. And I was only talking about the interim when I suggested we test other pages that are not currently being tested, and only if we had those weapons already.
In any case, I leave the decision to the individual, rather than the whole.
I don't recommend posting all of your armory though lol. I do have some weapons from collection/donation presents, special events/holidays, and MC purchases.

Just some issues with figuring out what career/job I want, I've decided against my old choice so I've been scrambling to figure something out in time for application deadlines :c
For the most part I got very vague timelines of around 1/2/few weeks, there is one who said June, some are indefinite because it's more family issue/real life problem cropping up all of a sudden.
If people have other weapons they can test them for sure! Quite a few of the members with upper tier pets I believe are doing so. I was doing that too, but testing ~200 weapons was taking too much time u.u I can pop in my extra T3s back in, I'll be T4 soon so I might grab a few of those (need to save some sP for something else first though).
I guess we can pop individual pings/sMails/comments around the third week of May for people who have not yet come back? Some people might have gone cold turkey on subeta for finals and forgot to inform us as well.
I've updated the masterlist with what info I received/remembered (some people updated their testing posts later so the info is gone) and also the latest testing dates of people on the new testing thread.
Also I propose we remove all the pending list, they're artificially inflating our member count. They haven't responded to multiple pings for quite a while? I'm assuming they're not interested in testing or are too busy to login/read the ping so they wouldn't have time to test either... Opinions?
I agree that removing pending members from the list, at least those who have not responded within 5-7 days, is a good idea.
As for the question of trying to ascertain which members are still active after finals, I would probably wait until the middle of the third week or the end of it. Some people may want to take a break from not only finals but Subeta altogether, especially since Vesnali is ending soon.
I will make the weapon errors thread after posting this.

People are probably putting all their time into vesnali this week. ^_^ Plus, I don't know about you guys, but it might just be burn out. We went hard for quite a few days in a row so I definitely relate to (and am one of) the MIA members :/ The time I've managed to be online the past couple days has been spent trying to de-hoard my hoard and vesnali
I'll try to find the quote, but I'm pretty sure the troll was confirmed as a permanent challenger, I remember staff saying something about that being why he's in the tab he's in?
Also, ... v_v I still have NO personal wins XD FAILURE! So while I've been ghosting the place I fully intend to put effort back into this after vesnali and to keep helping once I get wins if the group still has people needing them.
When it comes to rearranging pages I only have one atm that takes me less than 5mins to test (3-4 battles I think?) So I can take more pages if need be. ^_^
Anyway, I hope you are all taking advantage of this lull <3
I do definitely feel kinda burnt out as well. Between sprinting, vesnali, and this? I'm stretched a little thin, especially if one of my arms starts hurting. Then I'm pretty much out of commission for a while, and even if I do take my pills for it I usually end up falling asleep. It's compression on my ulnar nerves from over use, so unless I wanna have a third surgery I really should probably be taking it easier :(

I'll try, but I did set a new goal for 2 billion ;P OMG I always forget item hunt now. Shinwa sometimes, but ugh item hunt. And I haven't played any games in at least a week.
Well at least vesnali is ending soon, so that should help with sprinting and troll hunting. I'll keep retesting my weapons in the meantime.
