It won't work, I'm telling you now. Because subeta itself is sitting on broken shitty code. Like a house built on rotting wood, You can keep masking the problems, but until you fix the cause then it's all pointless. Keith himself has said it a million times and has been saying it for years, but the mythical re-code is just bubbles in the air for years now :x
Oh, I believe you. That is why I am waiting. I'm just hoping that something or someone can come along to help speed this up. The problems are upsetting the userbase greatly and it needs fixed asap.
I'm not all that upset cuz I can be patient and I understand the limit. I just hope it's a decent enough amount that people who can collect can make galleries for them properly.
It's not just how horrible the old code is, it's how bad it is for our databases. Let me quote Grace on the Gold Account FAQ thread where she explains why this is needed:
Like I said, the limits are going to increase because the coding for the new shops and galleries allow for scalability!
One of the reason why we are panic is that the notice is too short.. just extend it to after Vesnali (and let us enjoy the holiday because now it's kinda ruined lol), let us digest the new situation, to understand what's going, what we want to do.. It's a bang to our mind and a big one... we are all in panic.. and no matter how kind the words of the staff, it's not helping at all.. :( Nine days are just not enough..
Still not really understanding why the backtracking on galleries is a thing. Honestly unsure if I'll even try participating in Vesnali as a result of this...I always up my activity during the site holidays so I can get all those food items, but even if the limits are up it still completely invalidates the food gallery I've been working on since I signed up, since there are SO MANY food items.
can either of you address that people paid for more shops, and what staff plans to do about that? Will people that paid to have 10 shops get refunded the 200,000 that is now wasted due to this change?
Also, I'd love to hear something said about the fact that not even a year ago said that galleries would not have limits. Did y'all just say screw it, changing my mind and people that dislike it can get over it or what?!
I also agree with what , and have all said on page 12. This is going to ruin the economy so badly that things may be brought to its knees. All I can think of right now is saying au revoir to the economy with these changes!
Prices are too high in user shops means people can't quest means so can't be made which ends in everything coming to a dead halt.
2500 and 5k unique items would be a MUCH better starting place than 250 and 500. It may be better overall for the servers but terrible for the economy and galleries.
The stress and frustration users would have to contend with trying to dig through the vaults for things to sell is nightmarish.
Fixing the coding should not mean having to put users out and suffer through loss of how many unique items they're allowed in shops and removing shops/galleries from their accounts if they have more than 6.

Okay. After some thought, I do understand the reasoning and do support the new system, as you guys are working hard on helping us transition to the new shops.
HOWEVER. I am still concerned about the economy as it is crap right now, and it will take a while to get to a more stable state.
Yeah, I think the limits that we are starting out with are a bit low but as long as it's increased, that's fine, too.
But how exactly will it stop hoarding? I don't understand why people want to collect massive duplicates of items anyway, but I don't think this, as it stands now, is a viable solution. I have read that you like some people's ideas and are going to implement some and think about implementing the others to stop, or at least discourage, hoarding. This is also good.
And the vaults. Everything I have done today that gets me items, they go straight to the vaults which are a mess. I'm not selling them for 10x less than usual or jacking up the prices rather ridiculously, so I will wait for the shops to go live (or a little before) to put them in the shop.
And I do think that the errors won't completely go away. I am hopeful but cautious at this point.

You don't have to have a single thing done in 9 days. Everything will still be removeable from your end, just not to others. You are more than welcome to wait until we raise the limits and get the transfer tool situated. We released this now because we need people testing it. It's the reason the site has the 502/504 errors, we need to fix that as soon as we can without just debuting a new untested system that was thrown together overnight. has been working on this almost exclusively for nearly a month. We've tested it ourselves, but we need to make sure this new system works, which is why we're opening the beta testing to get any bugs out before it's live. The limits will be raised during the testing period--so we can test them. We just need to start off small so can monitor exactly what's happening and see how much this will help the strain.
Maybe you should post the FAQ on the news and high light the important parts and stress the fact that the limits will increase, galleries/shops on the old system will still be accessible even after they are disabled?
That may help with getting people to understand that the low limit isn't FINAL at all and can and will increase after testing is done and maybe even increase further at other points?
Honestly I guess I'll sit everything out for a while. I'm still very miffed about my gallery as well as the massive gap between "what regular users can do" and "what GA users can do" regarding the shop limits. GA users have it easy enough as is with the autopricer and showing the lowest price in the manual list, the difference in limits just makes it even MORE easy for them to sell things, and make more money, to get more GAs with....
@blackwolf_2009 and I are working on that right now, actually! <3
Well,I didn't think anything good could come out of this change, but and and made me smile,no,they made me laugh HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAH ,GIVE THAT WOLF GIRL HER MONEY BACK ,OR ELSE : p
I totally understand! but so far we lived with the error, we complained a lot yes haha, but we lived, we can survive for few more days.. There is also the hoarder achievement, people has been working on it for years and now all their time and effort is totally wasted, I know that we had A LOT of time for it, but it's not easy to collect 45k items.. So at least give more time for people to finish it, I'm pretty sure that in 2 weeks many users who have 20k+ items can finish it..
*or just as a gift give the remaining tiers for those with 20k+ items, just for their effort..
I'm still skeptical about the entire thing. 250 limit on a shop is a joke; I really hope staff has much, much bigger numbers in mind. I keep hearing "the limits will be raised" but I'd love to know what exactly it will be increased to next. Hoping to be placated then. 😔
So basically what I understand from this whole mess, is that you're still fixing bugs, still going to increase the limit, and still have to find a way for us not to take out items from our shops and galleries one by one. That for me is enough to decide not to do anything right now. I'm not going to split up my gallery in 3 different smaller ones, only to see the limit increase afterwards, and then take them out yet again to move them all to (hopefully) 1 gallery again. So yeah, fix your shit and decide on a (hopefully much much higher) limit first, then I'll start thinking how many shops and galleries I will need, and what I'm going to move where. Until then, I'm going to sit back and relax. (Or grind my teeth at the lag.)
... my vault knows pretty well how to lag, when I open it. Searching for an item goes smoothly then. But the limit of max 50 items to be removed at once often bothers me, so I store for example my different currencies (unpriced) in my shop, where I can choose any number to remove.
