Ok I see it a lot more with the bouncy snow bun :o
So I can have those wisps near the bottom still hang down, but in the opposite direction...have it look more like it's pulling up towards the bun.
I get what you mean about rounded but not round. When zoomed in, I also see the bumps more on the other wigs.
Just some tips from my own failures experience.. Really consider drawing from photo references because even though you are drawing CWs, you are trying to make it look realistic and the problem with drawing from a CW reference is that pretty much every artist has created their own style and have used that in the onsite products, but it's still just a drawing and not how it looks like in rl.
Draw A LOT! Try ten different hairstyles at once, jump from one drawing to the other, fix whatever you see should be fixed but don't shy away from scratching a drawing that just won't look better and start anew. Only practice makes you better and only focusing on one drawing that just won't look better is not going to make you more confident. Art is hard. Good hair tutorial
Also, and I am saying this from personal experience: If asking for critiques gives you anxiety/panic attacks, don't ask for critiques. We all started somewhere and of course you won't be able to draw as good as artists that continue to get their art onsite, but critiques shouldn't cause you to feel bad, they are meant to HELP YOU, see it as such and not as someone telling you how bad you are because you are not! You are a beginner as all artists once where, only practicing more makes your art look better :)

rough sketch.
I feel I keep doing something wrong....
Can peeps weigh in? Dont' worry, I won't freak out. XD
May as well reply here since you changed stuff since you sMailed me. I think this looks a lot better! You seem to be getting the flow of hair better now. Either the top of the wig (excluding the bun) is too high, though, or the part on our right is too straight and should curve out a bit more, I think. Fixing either of those should make it look more natural.
The bun definitely needs work, though. I'd probably advise you to stay away from buns until you get a good feeling for normal hair, and then something like a ponytail, so you know how hair reacts to being tied up.
Yeah I was debating on keeping the bun or not XD
In that case, I'll def work on the right side. Sorry for mailing you super early, but I did it before I had a meltdown. The way you do the wisps still confused me though :o
When i try to do wisps, they look well..stiff :/

First off, I know this whole process can be very frustrating when you're first getting started. Sometimes it can feel impossible, like you're never going to get there, but just keep trying.
When I first started CWs, my biggest issue with wigs was making them look too plastic / too stiff / too fake / etc. Since then I've learned that I was skipping some very important steps in my drawing process that were causing the issue.
When you're just starting out, your Sketch is going to be important, as it's going to help you learn, and help guide the rest of your item. Take your time with them. If it doesn't look right, don't be afraid to mess with your sketch until it does because to be honest, fixing it /then/ will save you so much frustration than realizing you need to fix it later.
Here is an example of how I sketch using your most recent sketch as a general guide for what /I/ would do (not what you need to do or anything, keep in mind everyone has a different style!) LINK The description on it has the step information / tutorial type thing to help you out. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to respond. (I may be a bit slow due to the holidays coming up!)
thank you very much for the guide and for offering your help! I appreciate it.
You are right when you said I'm starting to feel like it's impossible. It just feels like I hit a plateau in progress x.x
It's a bit discouraging ^^;
What I personally suggest is trying various things and to not worry about if they're perfect. Just spend some time having fun sketching, even if those things never end up finished or items on site. It will honestly help you get a better feel for the way the HA base is, and take away the stress of 'getting it right' if you're just trying to have fun and learn.

I try not to stress myself out, but I'm the kind of person that hates not being good at something I'm trying to improve in XD
I'm no artist so don't put too much creed in what I say but just as someone who would buy a cw; it looks like just one giant piece. Try to fan it out a bit like you did at the tuft over the shoulder in your last update, I'd say. Just extra strays so it doesn't look like a huge hunk of solid mass. But like I said; that's just me! I'm trying to get into CWs as well so that's what I'd do, but since I haven't done a very good job maybe don't listen to me? XD
No i totally get what you are saying and that's what I'm having trouble with haha XD

Ah the lines and shape of your wigs are coming along fabulously :)
Yep I see much improvement u The lines look much more consistent! Keep working on it :)

I'm having issues with the sides.
Hmmm can you add in a light base colour so I can see better, if you wouldn't mind xD
