DRAE:UDG SPOILERS

For this, I decided to do Shirokuma from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. He was actually my third favorite character (the other two being obviously Nagito Komaeda/the Servant and then Nagisa Shingetsu). Gosh isn’t he cute? HAHA I love Shirokuma. :’)

(ENDGAME SPOILERS, SERIOUSLY)

…ESPECIALLY since Shirokuma was shown to be incredibly nice / helpful in the game, and then turned out to be THE LAST BOSS / actually manipulative / actually not your friend / actually one half of the Enoshima AI. He’s still a cutie.

This is Celestia Ludenberg, SHSL/Ultimate Gambler from the first game of the Danganronpa franchise, along with her cat, Grand Bois Chéri Ludenberg, who was revealed in DRAE and not the first game. Celeste was actually one of my favorite characters from the first game.

She’s actually ridiculously manipulative and honestly counts as a sociopath though if you ask me, even though it was never explicitly commented on in the game. She does actually match up to a lot of the traits/symptoms of a sociopath however, and she even uses a gaslight manipulation technique on Makoto Naegi in the middle of the trial; he even immediately lost quite a bit of confidence because of it.

Ironically I actually sometimes really like manipulative characters; it kind of depends a bit of their exact nature. I don’t feel sorry for her actually dying in the game due to her literally being a pretty terrible person, but I do feel pretty sorry for her cat - it’s not like he’s necessarily done anything wrong / that comment about the fact he has no owner to return to that was made in DRAE was pretty sad.

As the culprit of the third chapter, her execution is actually titled “The Burning of the Versaille Witch” in the English version. (It’s worded slightly different in the Japanese but gets the same point across.) She also owns a cat, which is often know as a witch’s familiar or kith beast, and black cats are especially superstitious. (Although this long-named feline is more gray than black but I still think he fits the bill, and knowing Spike Chunsoft they did this irony on purpose to match up with her witch theme.)

Featuring the Sphinx from the movie Mirrormask (2005). (View the trailer here!) Mirrormask is one of my favorite movies; it not only has some amazing / inspiring visuals, but I really think it’s got a good storyline as well, though this can get overshadowed / lost in the creative aspect / uniqueness of its style.

I love this drawing challenge - it really is giving me an excuse to spotlight storylines I care about but don’t actually talk about on a frequent basis. And since this probably confusing because I’ve been naming favorites left and right, I actually made a little document containing a list of my favorites if anyone is interested. :D

I was also originally trying to make this creepy but then rainbow vomit somehow happened instead and well… alrighty then. The text reads “Don’t let them know you’re afraid,” which is what one of the characters tells the two main characters. Which really didn’t help and just made the main characters more nervous around these little fellows. Haha I love them.

UNDERTALE SPOILERS

So I really like Muffet from Undertale. On my second playthrough for Pacifist/True Ending (as I got Neutral the first time around by accidentally killing the training dummy and Toriel in the beginning), I ended up buying one of her spider items, so I was able to skip her battle completely. Not that I don’t love the themesong / gameplay, but I did actually find her battle ridiculously challenging on my first playthrough and ended up having to get the Temmie armor just for her actually.

I did have one of the items from the spiders in the Ruins, but I actually wanted to legitimately help her and the rest of the spiders out / let them get reunited with each other. After beating the True Ending, I backtracked to go talk with Muffet, and she said she also had enough money for all the spiders to have a vacation! Oh man that made me so happy~ helping out the spider friends, heehee. :D They’re all such cuties.
