No reasons why I should not be supporting this :)
Great job :*

Could someone tell me how to join a ping group?
I support having guidelines 100% ~ :) ~

I really like this, it's written clear and easy to understand. ^-^
This is definitely a good idea! I just hope that people will actually read over these. I know plenty of people (myself included sometimes) just ignore pages like this.
Although I've never experienced any negativity here it's good to see guidelines to safeguard everyone. I think they're all very fair and I like that they're succinct :)
I am completely loving this discussion right now! I know that when I first joined the site, it took me a bit of time to get into the general swing of things, forums included. Now myself, I don't post too much in the forums but it isn't because I do not find them inviting. It is because unless I am in a very chatty mood or feel the need to have my opinion heard on something, the forums are a distraction for me from all the other things on site that I am here to experience (Shoutbox, Questing, Vending, restocking, etc..).
When I do venture into the forums it is usually to a few threads for cults I've been a member of, or places I know a few of my friends frequent or even in the r200 forums to feed my Custom Wears addiction. I find Subeta to be a very friendly place for the most part. Of course you will find some negativity because no place is without at least some to a degree, but I have witnessed many Subetans very helpful with new and old users and many times it has been commented just how great a community we do have here. I've played many sites in the past, Neopets and Gaia Online most notably, but Subeta has been, by far, the most inviting and interactive and the one I've enjoyed over and over again without ever thinking of quitting.
I also wish to note that the fact that staff actually cares about the community here sets Subeta so far above the rest. Regularly seeking feedback and actually interacting with users makes me and I'm sure many other users, feel like a part of something special. Our opinions actually matter and no voice goes unheard. I am proud to be a member here of a genuine community who cares for everyone.
I really like these guidelines and I love the fact that you guys want to make this a special place for everyone. It feels so good to have such a great staff! I value your efforts so much and I'm very grateful that you offer me this little escape from the tough world out there <3
I do really like these guidelines, A+ and I don't have anything really useful to add about that.
But I am wondering what exactly constitutes earning the helper achievement (assuming that this is the same achievement the guidelines page talks about?). I've seen a few people that I think deserve it, mention that they don't have it. What about those of us who hang out in Help & Questions constantly? and I went through the achievements awhile back and listed a ton that should be retired, so staff could just go through and retire them all at once.
I really like the rules! Especially that they don't have a too negative undertone. But maybe it could be even better if they where formulated more encouraging. I don't know how to explain that, maybe more the don't be shy just post style to take away possible fears and less rule character since we already have enough rules. Maybe it could be a better approach to tell people what to do instead of telling them what not to do.
The first post for example: Have A Nice Time Our community is full of people who are just looking to have a nice time and escape from day-to-day drama, (feel free to join in too, be friendly and have fun!) [Try not to] ruin the fun with a negative attitude when dealing with others [but don't be shy as long as you try!]
or something like that.
Just like the second post is.
The reason I don't like these to be general rules is because there are places on the site Feedback and Suggestions. Things that happen there have a real effect on all players, and therefore free speech should be allowed even if it's done by Blue Meanies. Furthermore if you make a Suggestion or Feedback that could potentially harm the playing-experience of some players, you should expect a pushback reaction and have skin thick enough to take what you're dishing out.
My RL and internet experience says that not everyone can communicate safely with someone with artistic temperament. This is a hard row to hoe and I'd hate to see MMs have to enforce it.
I like the idea that if someone is causing trouble and not following the guidelines they get a "time out" from the social side of the site.
I hope that if someone isn't following the guidelines and a staff member sees it they can 'pull rank'. I think that there could be some people who would be a little reluctant to file a ticket in some situations, maybe thinking it's not a big enough deal or maybe someone wouldn't want to seem over sensitive. I know when I was younger and when I would experience negativity online (not specifically on here) I was more willing to just ignore it.
I think these rules are great. I especially like the short list. Many users will not take the time to read a long drawn out explanation on what is and is not OK. Keeping it down to simple, easy to remember statements is best! :)
I know there are additional details to be found on the site and that you might be thinking about this already, but maybe include a link at the end of each statement that simply states "additional/detailed information" where users that have questions could look up specific hard line rules that define in greater detail each community rule. Examples, FAQS, defined phrases and words as needed, etc. to eliminate any "gray" areas that might exist beyond each community rule.

I like that the guide is short and sweet and interesting.
as a fairly new user i think these guidelines are all pretty great, it's mostly common sense but to see it being reinforced here is reassuring
I definitely dig this :) I've mostly encountered kind people here but it's nice to see a concrete rule against unnecessary rudeness, and I've seen loads of people who go above and beyond with being helpful/kind to others that definitely deserve an achievement for it because I see them literally everywhere helping people out.
Interesting. I like the guidelines for now. Short, but easily readable.
Although I hope Subeta doesn't turn into a Nany State game, like Neopets, where anything you say can be taken at any angel, and punished for the stupidest of reasons.
Fuck! Don't take away my swearing privileges here lol.
Also; , when are you coming back to Colchester? We were supposed to be going for a drink :P
