Since we have been promised an eventual cap raise from beginning on, naturally everybody continued to gain XP (and it would have been more than unfair to not get any for all the new challengers) and counted on being able to use their accumulated stash after this new cap raise. As was mentioned, dedicated users will find a way to insta cap again, even if it is not with XP. And I cannot understand how it is different, if pets reach the new cap immediately ore only in a few months.

I personally have been comforting myself with the idea of being able to round up to nicer numbers after the raise. I will definitely NOT spend even more to REDUCE stats I paid/worked for in the first place.

While I could imagine yet another (moderate! I saw someone mentioning an offensive 50k/stat!) price level I also like the idea of being able to buy intelligence or AP.

Something I also would trade XP for would be (tokens for) old, unobtainable weapons and books (in the battle shop. After all we already had the once precious (Crystal Shop) short swords in there.

If we were given choices, some might just insta cap one of their pets and use other's stash differently.

Maybe the solution is to limit how many stats can be gained per day via EXP (boosters, also?) and give people other ways to spend their accumulated EXP. Even for pets at lower tiers, I imagine things like Intel and weapons can sometimes seem more important than raising stats.

I'm never gonna understand the desire to insta-cap anyway.

Rambling Rant Using a general you here (not talking about anyone in particular): Why put yourself in the same position you were before? Is it for bragging rights? Or are you hoping that they'll start releasing bigger and badder opponents because you are bored? If the first, then I really don't care if it's possible, in a day, in a month, or a year. However, if the latter, then I will have absolutely no sympathy and I will hope that the admins don't listen to your whining, at least not as it pertains to event opponents. (Please please not event opponents... One or two in regular BC I could forgive but event opponents are annoying enough with their time constraints.) It's not fair to the people on the other end of the spectrum and it puts us back where we were before the cap with the never-ending opponent chase where no one could catch up because the people in front kept moving the goal post. /end rant

There are battlers who get a GA to do the extra battle quests in anticipation of a cap raise, so their preparation will pay off when the time comes. Also they don't have to buy as many boosters when they use their hoarded exp.

Back then when my main pet capped, I didn't have a second pet capable of beating impossible challengers right away. So I still battled with my main to get the exp from impossible challengers, because if I don't it would be wasted. Or it seemed. I was hoping that the exp could be used after a cap raise. When it become apparent they weren't raising the cap soon, I started on my secondary pet. But not everyone was sold on creating a pet army, so they didn't give their hopes up and continued with their main. Hence it's unfair to completely disregard their time, effort, and resources to get the GA.

So far I think has had the best idea with capping how much exp you can use per day. Something like 50-100k per day seems fair? Removing it away completely when people have still worked hard for it seems grossly unfair imo - I haven't capped yet so it doesn't apply to me but if I'd have carried on battling in the hopes of one day a cap raise just to have it taken away, I'd be majorly pissed

A shop that has a lot of past plot prize weapons which can be bought for a ridiculous amount of EXP (SoSS priced at 3-5mil EXP)? But make it a permanent feature so users have something to work towards.

Or offer an alternative, remove stats via EXP, and then those previously-capped pets will become uncapped again...and then they can re-work their builds after the new changes are pushed.

Deletes EXP, gives users the opportunity to 'uncap' their pets with intention to fix builds, and then everyone works toward a new, higher cap (assuming the cap will even be there idk what BAs have decided on).

Just set a limit on how much EXP can be used on a pet in a given amount of time. Cap it.

I like this idea - don't wipe us out, but let us spend a certain amount of EXP every month or so. The intel idea as described is not appealing (100K for 1 Intel point is pretty lame). Overall, I would be very upset if we get screwed over once again. Those points took effort to earn!

I agree with the many people here saying a daily EXP spending cap could be a good solution. I'd also like to see intel available through EXP at a higher cost than the other stats, but not by an outrageous amount.

Also, like many people said, there's nothing to stop people from buying up boosters (or using hoarded boosters) and capping that way, so I don't see why it's such a big issue.

My pet is capped but I only have 200k exp, with the intention of getting back into BQ soon. But, if he can't gain any more exp, what's the point when my 2nd pet can't beat the harder challengers?

I do not have a capped pet.

Sure I will be jealous that IF they were allowed to use hoarded exp they will be sooo much further away from me, again. But, that is my own problem. They shouldn't be punished for their work because they earned it. Let them keep their exp. Boosting right away by exp or items leads to the same thing.

Answer this: How many people have 10mil+ exp? 5mil+ exp? 1mil+ exp? So then how many people can instacap? How many people used their BQs or plot challengers with different pets? I've seen several people with many high stat pets. Once capped, how many stuck with one pet as their battler and how many made new ones?

If the problem is instacapping, then have a daily limit for -those people only-, on how much you can use in X amount of time. So they will get there eventually (keeping their exp and slightly slowing growth I suppose), if they want a faster cap speed, then they can use item boosters.

!! I will be super pissed if there is a daily limit on the amount that you can boost your pet by items (no matter the tier) :K I buy csc so I can boost. Take that away then you don't get my money because I don't care about anything else on the site. If you want a truthful answer.

Now, once this issue is addressed, what will be done so it can't happen again? Or should it be allowed to happen again? I personally think whomever can hoard exp for their pet and spend it whenever they want. And with capped pets, what is the problem? The only thing I see wrong with it is fighting site bosses. They will beat the toughest challengers thrown out there no matter their stats so I say let them have all the stats they want but make it in big, bold letters that they cannot fight a site boss if within xyz of the rest of the population. Or cap their stats and such for site bosses only (like the max healing thingy). Then it becomes an issue with what items you own in order to do more damage than someone else with the same "boss cap" stats. One person can have 1 pet with 20,000 in each category while someone else may want 3 pets with 6,000 each category because they want 5th prize items.

Great to see a thread regarding this as posts might have got lost in the BC Chat.

reposting what I said in BC Chat...

There are people with 7mill + EXP PTs and that&;s a lot to just pretend not to have and have it wiped off you, Wiping the EXP PTs is the &;worst&; thing you can do and this should not happen EVER!! So I think the BAs should just agree with this fact and work on a solution see below.

Ideas I&;ve seen and read and from me
**Let us spend it on our capped pets if we wish to
**Spend it on intell
**Spend it on battle tokens - would need some decent weapons added to Battle Shop thou
**Spend it on other pets and why not, it&;s still OUR owned EXP PTs
**Free CS challengers for each X number of points (friend suggested this)

1 more is open limited time say 1 week a old god weapons shop to spend them on.

edit 750k exp per Psycho Smasher Scroll will do me ;)

Perhaps there could be something similar to the previous battle perks thing but with different ways to earn perks. For example, achievement prizes, number of wins, buy with SP and buy with exp.

Capped pets with accumulated exp would automatically gain the first few perks within the system.

My idea is probably too complicated and won't work with the coding though.

Or have an exp amnesty where we voluntarily hand in our extra exp and if a certain cumulative goal of exp is handed in we get bonus features like the scroll library and multiple default sets. I'm sure not everyone would hand theirs in but I hope quite a few would, although this could lead to bitterness.

I'm also happy with the intelligence, tokens and daily limit ideas that others had.

I think that limiting xp spent per day is just a rather terrible idea. It's not solving the problem, it's just stretching it out very slightly... it's literally not a solution, I'd still be able to spend my huge hoard of xp on stats, instead of having to buy boosters instead.

Buying int for an extremely high cost still seems to me to be the only reasonable idea here. As much as I'd love to buy god weapons and scrolls (cmon, did anybody think that would actually fly, let alone it was a good idea >.<). That way it's not literally going to waste, but it's also not making a huge difference to anybody. But if this doesn't happen and my xp is cleared, I'll be totally fine with it, since that xp just never should have been there.

I can't figure out how people using their stored exp to boost to the new cap is actually a bad thing/any worse than people using a metric fuckton of boosters to do the same thing, 'cause that's what's gonna happen with some pets regardless of what ends up being done with their exp..

I've had enough to be honest im at the point were im more than willing to sacrifice my 1mill+ EXP in exchange for the cap increase, if thats what has to happen. Or quite simply, give whoever has a capped pet with EXP a forum title, nice and easy.

I'll take anything that will resolve this problem,we can't redo what's done...no more than we can change history, although many try to do just that...but I won't go there, buying things with exp.points..anything..lets just get it done, even if it's not fair..but than again life not fair..so nothing new there,I ave a lot to loose also....but I'm not gonna cry in my pillow.....just get it done with as little friction as possible....that my story and I am sticking to it..: )

I am not affected by this EXP "problem", but I think the best non-game breaking suggestion for the EXP( is there 1? ) is: Convert the EXP to sP @ a rate of say 10sP per point... so even IF someone has 10m EXP saved - it is only 100m sP - A drop in the bucket. :P

I think sP for EXP is a valid option. I value EXP based on what it would take to replace the EXP. I used the Leaf Laurel as an example.

Based on the buying boards, and using 340K for the item, I would value 1 health at least at 200K and the EXP cost for 1 health at T12 is 1500 EXP. That values 1 EXP at least at 135sP rounded up.
