Level is a good one. I actually don't disagree with making int for like 100k a point or so. What's the most exp someone has, 10m? that's only 100 int, which isn't all that much really.

100 Intel would be 6.25 AP. That'd be almost enough to equip another Cobalt Eternal. Woo hoo! LOL

Yeah, I don't think making it spendable on Intel would be game-breaking.

I wouldn't think so but even if they have 20 mil... That's 200 Intel... Which seems like a lot... Until you look the AP "cost"... 200 Intel would equal 12.5 AP... I can see that being very useful for a Tier 6 pet, for example, but at Tier 12? Probably not so much.

I wonder if they could make it exponential, so you buy one int for cheap and it just goes up from there, so no one can get too many int points if they think it will unbalance things o-o

I prefer exponential cause 100k per point is pretty insane haha. 10 int for 1mil EXPs effort is a little sad.

If it's a set rate, it looks like it could be built in to the current page with the current format... I imagine that if it were set up to increase exponentially, they'd probably have to code a specific area for it, even if it's on the same page.

Anyway, it would depend on the top end of EXP capped pets have put back... And how many are actually at or near that top end. -nods-

Well it doesn't affect me, I am only in support of this so a large amount of people will stop complaining (at least about this) =P But if it is exponential, at least everyone can get a couple int?

it will require some coding already, int isn't a part of the system. increasing costs will just require a bit more yeah it would depend.

Just set a limit on how much EXP can be used on a pet in a given amount of time. Cap it.

ha, thanks. It is a very simple idea and if the problem staff sees is truly that we would just reach the cap immediately then it would solve it and make us feel like our hard work was not for naught. Maybe there is a secret reason they aren't sharing though?

am in 100% supported your idea over everything else now. If they made a daily exp cap of say...2 times what one can earn in BQ (to allow new opponent exp boosting to count) then that would be perfect.

TBH I don't really see why staff are hesitant to let users spend the EXP once the cap is raised anyway. I mean, if someone has a hoard of boosters they can hit the new cap instantly, are staff going to nerf boosting too? Players worked for months or years on these EXP hoards, let them use them just like they'd be allowed to use boosters or anything else. I don't really have a stake here, my pet is nowhere near cap, but this feels like dedicated battlers and questers are being punished because they hoarded EXP rather than boosters.

But if there has to be a 'solution' I think Georgie's is the best suggestion I've seen. It probably wouldn't be too hard to program, it keeps people from raising their stats faster than staff wants, and it lets people use the EXP they worked for.

The only problem is, if we went with a limit on daily stat purchases, the players raising with EXP would quickly be outstripped by anyone with a booster hoard.

ETA: How many times can I say boosters in one paragraph holy hell.

As long as it only effects the T12s and capped pets, then I'm all for it. It is a great idea, !

I'd also like to see a limit on how many stats they can boost per day... A much higher limit, mind you, so that the new cap isn't met overnight by someone with a booster hoard or deep pockets. /potentially unpopular opinion

can see why it would be 'unpopular' but really I think that is a good idea as well, possibly one that should have been in place before the cap issue. It's fun to do a huge boost at a time, but it's irritating seeing people buying their pets with used or causing crazy booster inflation. And there will definitely be booster iflation when cap raises - this might help to tone it down a tiny bit :)

There is at least one person with over 10m EXP which is why it's insane to just wipe it without any return. He has been capped for so long and kept working on BQs even though it is so easy to lose motivation.

I don't see a problem with making intel purchasable for this one-off time.

IMO I think capping the EXP used per day at 75k-100k a day would be great. It doesnt bother me much as I have not done BQs since I capped. But in a way whats the point in instant capping? If the whole top 100 pets can instacap then there will be nothing different then us sitting here waiting on a cap increase the same as we are right now.

Best idea would be to open a mix of new things to do with exp. Options for every user. Set the cap of buy able stats to a daily limit. What ever you guys feel is needed.

Change the battle shop to use tokens or exp. Set each item at a decent but fair price in exp. I would even be pleased to see the battle shop items STAY that way. Where you can buy with exp, or buy with tokens. That way this doesnt happen again. Maybe even have some high value items to buy with exp to give people something to work towards after they cap. Maybe even change items monthly to keep peoples interest in spending their exp.

Id like to see int as an option to spend exp on. If you could spend exp on int then we could also not ever have a hoard issue again. But making pets not be able to gain exp after cap is a bad idea imo. Some of us only have one battle pet and bqs are still kinda long and drawn out especially for the few of us who have crappy internet, so doing bqs for exp to get new items, and to get tokens would be great.

In any form I just think we need more valuable ways to spend exp to try and keep the hoard down. If you set a daily cap for exp to be spent on stats only then that would fix the instacap concern permanently and no reason to stop pets who cap from gaining exp. Thats just my opinion.

Even though I don't have a capped pet, I would hate to see all my hard work get wiped out if I did have a huge amount of EXP hoarded from a capped pet. I like Brandon's ideas. It would also be nice to be able to give other pets you own 500k EXP as a one-time deal. Using EXP or tokens in the shop is a good idea. 100k EXP for an imp token would be okay with me.
