I have LOVED this for the wardrobe items and I LOVE that it's being added for other things. BUT...I used it to determine if I had a particular item in my wardrobe (the "add to wardrobe" button wasn't displayed if you already had it in your wardrobe). Is it possible that this could be brought back? Please? :)

I will say, I'll definitely miss the haggle button. I used it.. all the time. You could always just about guess what the right numbers were.

But now it's a huge pain in the ass for the 5 second thing, so if that can be fixed or lowered or something, that'd be great?

Well as I was purchasing, I was surprised. The haggling was gone. I tried checking news, but nothing. It took me quite a bit to find this topic.

Suggestion: news like this maybe could be on the news page.

Anyway I was a haggler, but I don't mind the change. Makes questing even quicker for me, which is something I needed.

I don't mind that haggling is gone, but I think rares and super rares should still have captcha... wouldn't this encourage auto-restockers?

Haha, I'm one of those people who don't really bother with haggling. I mean, I usually avoid main shops when doing quests cause I was always too lazy to haggle and type the capcha. When I do have to buy something from a main shop, I usally just round down/up to neart multiple of 5, haha. Or type all the same number like 2222 if the price is 2197 or whatever. So yeah, I like this change. =P

idea... what if we click on the item, then there's a button which says to add it to your collection, and then you purchase it because now I don't know whether I already have the item or not in my collection I know I can do the account search but well... takes the point of having that button away right?

take off 15% on npc shop items and i won't have an issue with this update. i gladly haggled to save a couple hundred sp. GLADLY. that's my money, and saving 200-300 sp per item bought while questing eventually adds up by a lot, even within a week.

if you're gonna remove the haggling, you should "keep" the main thing that kept people haggling - the 15% off.

now the 5 second wait between purchases is also gonna take forever since those 5 seconds won't be spent haggling in an npc shop. would be nice to see that lowered, too, now that you can buy from npc shops so easily.

I always haggled regardless of the item, but I don't mind this change as it makes questing more convenient for me, which is always a plus in my book. :)

I was thinking that too, about the faster questing. And the captcha's got to me when I was trying to do it real fast and they would get messed up, or when you had multiple tabs open and more than one had a captcha.
I like the buff idea about buying from shops. :D

I always haggle also. I enjoy haggling and I will miss it but it really doesn't make that big of a difference to me.

Discount Card 24,266,555 sP Saved That's 20% saved over the several years I've had the discount card(assuming that counter has always worked). I make that much in a week in my shop.

I like this change. It should make questing that much faster and less tedious. n_n

I LOVE how the NPC shops dont have haggling. That is awesome!!! Click = Buy. So much simpler. The haggling and having to type in codes was annoying.

Aw I'll miss the haggling..it was nice being able to discount an item. It'll make questing/rsing much faster, I guess, but it was a feature I always enjoyed. I'm kinda bummed that's it's gone :( (On another note, seems to me like a change such as this should have a news post.)

My gut reaction was the same as most people's on this thread. I always haggle, and while I don't buy a ton (I've only recently gotten into restocking) it always felt good to save a few sp. I'll be sad to see it go but I certainly wont miss having to enter the captcha codes.

I think if item base prices were brought down 10% (as Keith mentioned earlier in this thread as a good idea he'd consider) then that would help negate a lot of this gut reaction "no!!" I, and others, are feeling. The full 15% would be even better, but even just 10% lower prices + no captcha code would be a fair middle ground imo.

but I will not miss the haggle screen. I'd nearly give up buying shit from NPC shops because of all the extra clickery involved.

perhaps it could be a toggle in preferences? I appreciate that a lot of people want it back, but a lot of us also don't.

I always haggled on everything, and I really don't like this update. Even if a 15% discount is applied to all items in NPC shops, I would still miss the mental calculation of the 15%. In most cases, I had the ballpark memorized and would get 13%-15% off. In almost all cases, I had it pretty much spot-on; if I went 10sP lower it would be too low.

I haggled because it was FUN, not necessarily because I needed the sP. But even still: You have saved 35,680,049 sP using your discount card. That's with a 20% discount card. That means that even if I calculated incorrectly and got 13% off on all purchases by haggling, I saved over 23mil sP. Sure, I collect more than that in a week from my shop till, but this is coming from someone who collects pets' job incomes every day.
