hmm that makes me think. Is there a list of the unidentified items anywhere? I know I found a few when going back through the old thread, but...
@ Hulkling Nah, we don't have a list of unidentified items anywhere really. It's basically any RD items not listed under the books section already. Which ones specifically, I'm not sure yet. I'm checking that now. ^^
[edit]
Unidentified Reading Drive items
This is also assuming they are not listed in other sections
@ seerow TV series, Wishbone! Educational program about reading.
Makes me wonder, if there are any Reading Rainbow reference items now. God I loved that show.

- the dragon glass and wild fire, platinum Strands, and the horselord braid are all Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire reference items (all of which are already there, so they can come off the unidentified list)
In that case, I'm pretty sure the is supposed to be Tobias from Animorphs book series. The other Animorphs items were released for RD the same year according to SubetaLodge!
ETA:
A reference to the novel Warm Bodies (which has since been adapted into a movie) A reference to the telepathic character Aunt Beast from the book A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. Has the same physical description too. Man in the Iron Mask (book) Noddy series
Google seems to be pointing me toward Crime and Punishment! The protag stole a purse from a pawnbroker Another Google win. From the book/novella The Stars My Destination. Excerpt:

Which perfectly fits with the look and description of the item!
Man I'm so sad I never saw that as a Animorphs reference. My name should give away how much I like that series. Never even occurred to me.
All my stuff has been updated! Wishbook was already on my list :D

I'm 99% sure that this is a reference to the book Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, more specifically the monsters in the book that only the main character has the ability to see. I didn't see it on the list, so I thought I post about it.
(Funny seeing a reference to such an obscure book here...)
Went and removed them from the list. I wondered if they were GoT references, but wanted to wait and make sure. ^^
Woot! Good work! I've gone and listed those items accordingly, and removed them from the unID list above.
I'll add that item in. Thank you! Someone on staff must know the book as well. ^^

the was already listed under Odd Thomas, and given that it fits in with the plot/conceit of the character, plus has a reference to someone being an "odd person" I think it might fit under that series better? Just my two cents though!
Sorry to bother... I love trivia and puzzles like this, tho.
Forgive me if I've missed the answer, but what about Costume Trunk items referencing movies/tv/books? Because some were released that were an entire theme, not sure if they count?
Hiya, this is an awesome list! Thanks for this, It'll help me expand my DW collection. Is this item a Doctor Who reference also. Possibly 11th Doctor, David Tennant esque. Unless it's a different show reference I'm not aware of. [item2=Yellow Trenchcoat]
[edit] Sorry, I meant 10th Doctor. e.g:[img align=right]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/a0/85/7b/a0857bb28c74bbfd935f8feefa84c92e.jpg[/img]
- You have the Furious Red Rreign dragons down for How to Train Your Dragon, but not these ones...
From the first movie. (Gronkle) (Terrible Terror) (Deadly Nadder) (Monstrous Nightmare) (Hideous Zippleback)
From How to Train Your Dragon 2. (Skullcrusher the Rumblehorn) (Cloudjumper the Stormcutter) (Scuttleclaw - the 'babies') (Bewilderbeast) (Alpha Toothless)
They all come in 5 colors, normal and wreathed, but I just posted the ones that are close to the color they are in the movie.
Found three from the Warhammer 40k pen&paper game=)
= Dark Heresy = Only War = Rogue Trader

Thank you for your contribution! I'm unfamiliar with the series, but I've looked into it, and I'm confused whether they should be considered books or games. Can you enlighten me a bit?
Reference to Bob Ross, from his TV show, "The Joy of Painting". He is best known for coining the phrase, 'happy little trees', while painting art.
[edit] Just found out he's deceased! Should we consider it a tribute item instead then?

all of these items are references to fallout! uwu
I will get all my sections updated on Saturday afternoon. Between work crazy and holiday crazy I haven't had time to be on Subeta as much.

is a reference to Frozen is a ref to Brother Bear (probably Brother Bear 2 'cause there's a girl in it)
Both are Disney movies c:
Also, all the Forgotten Brides and Fretful Grooms items are a reference to Corpse Bride. They all come from the
Sorry for the late reply ^^" I would say it's a game. There are so many ways to play <warhammer 40k, be it as a tabletop game, pc game, pen&paper etc. =) And we already have some items in the games section from Warhammer. The is also a very common Item in the Warhammer universe.
